Calano nods. I understand. I'll take over.
"During that time, I lost my life." Calano says, rubbing Emma's hand, "I... went to Limbo. It was dark, and gray in Limbo. There were whispers that told me all sorts of terrible things. It felt like forever I was in there. It was only a year for her."
Calano turns to Emma. "I don't know what she went through. I know that Bookwyrm convinced her to come with him into my mindscape, into my Limbo, to try and save me. When Bookwyrm had tried before to enter my mindscape, I... in my grief and agony, forced him out. But, somewhere deep down, I guess, I realized I couldn't do that to Emma. Not after everything I'd already done before, and not after I'd spent so long rebuilding our relationship."
He pauses, and turns back to the four other adults. "While I was engulfed in my grief, Emma did the only thing she thought she could do to save me. She proposed to me." Calano squeezes Emma's hand.
"That broke me out of my funk, and somehow, saved my life. Of course, I said yes. And then immediately called her a hypocrite, because I had proposed a while ago, and she had said no." This draws laughter from the room. "After that, we planned a wedding, started the search for you four, put that on hold for the wedding, got married, and came and searched for you guys. And we found you."
