  2. Calano blinked. Then he blinked again. "I-" He started, then he shook his head a little. "I... yes, yes, I'd love to come. Emma? This could be very important. Our parents, Emma. We should investigate. We've done everything for the wedding that's important. What say we begin our search again?" He turned to Bookwyrm. "You go that way, we'll pick up where our search left off for our parents. Keep in contact though." He turned back to Emma. "Sound good? Think of it like a honeymoon." He said, smiling.
  3. Thanks Haly And now, Scene #76: Wings.
  4. Soon, Yerik encountered a high net of tightly woven fibers. It stretched high up above the canopy. And through the net... nothing. He couldn't see anything. Hyron, after recieving orders from Trad Rina, stood on a platform behind the net, watching outside for signs of the stranger. They saw the stranger. And held their breath. This was... bad. This stranger was breaking so many laws.
  5. Juuno cursed, and raced to keep up with the now leaping stranger. Stalks, this guy can move. What is the deal with him? The doors opened to the Elder Chambers, and they beckoned Hyron in. Hyron entered, resuming their position of bowed head, on one knee. "Hyron," One said, "We have heard your tidings. We have decided to take action. Do you know the current location of this blaspheming stranger?" Hyron nodded. "The Outer Northern Border. Walking towards the Center, I believe. I have placed Juuno over him as a scout, and he will send a Feenix if any developments occur." As if on cue, a bright blue bird flew into the room, landing in the middle. A Feenix. It spoke, in Juuno's voice, and said, He's leaping! Unnaturally! Over the trees, under them, landing without a sound and without a scratch. I don't understand. He's making his way towards the Center and the Domain. Raise the defenses. Hyron paled significantly. They stammered, "I don't- I swear- Oh, no." An Elder raised his hand, "Peace, Hyron. We will heed the warnings of Juuno, and raise the Inner Defenses. Report to one of the Trad's, they will tell you what to do." Hyron stood and bowed. "I will. Thank you." Hyron walked out of the room. Juuno, struggling to keep up with the stranger, prayed the Elder's had gotten his Feenix, and were raising the defenses. Stalks, he hoped so.
  6. Calano's jaw dropped, and he rushed up to Darle's Chickens. "No. Way. Quarkbeast-scale armor???? How did you get hold of the scales? This is insane!!! Thank you so much!"
  7. Juuno cursed, scrambling up onto the branch, finally finding a hold and scrambling up onto it. That... was too close. He thought to himself. Meanwhile, Hyron waited. And began to pace. This was taking too long, a decision needed to be made.
  8. Juuno hopped silently to the next tree, then slipped. He fell down the tree a short distance before grabbing a branch and holding on for dear life. The branches he'd already fallen through fell to the ground, in front of the stranger. Meanwhile, Hyron continued to swing through the trees, making their way to the Domain. As they neared the Domain, they thought on the strange magic of the stranger. Manipulating gravity... with no seen side effects... it was blasphemous. Hyron could not in good conscience allow such a man to get into Central Juun. The Elders would help. Hyron swung onto the deck of the First Level of the Elders Domain. Then immediately began running up to the High Level, where the Elders resided. Passing many bewildered Hwindi, who shouted at them, but Hyron ignored, they kept running. Eventually, they burst onto the High Level, shoving past the guards. The Elders were in session. Hyron immediately took a knee. "My most sincere apologies, Highest Hwindi," They said, head bowed, "But I come with urgent news. It cannot wait." The Elders looked at one another. Then, one of them spoke. "Rise, child. Speak." Hyron did not raise their head, nor stand. "I come with grave tidings. A stranger has passed our borders, one of unkown origin. In confronting the stranger regarding the laws and treaties in place for our land, he revealed to me forbidden magic. Manipulation of gravity. He explained that he was part of a group, a one Order of the Fallen Star, and their single goal is to reach the moons, most respect to Those Ones Up High, which is impossible." Hyron looked up. "I pray you take action against this stranger who threatens, or appears to threaten, our livelihoods with this nonsense. But his display of magic worries me." The Elders looked at one another, then gestured for Hyron to rise and leave the room. They did so, recieving a glare from the guards at the door. They glared right back, but kept back a harsh retort. Juuno, on the one hand, hung, sweating, holding on for dear life as he struggled to find a way to right himself quietly.
  9. "Of course. Thank you for the gift, and thank you for attending." Calano gave Nameless a quick hug.
  10. Calano grinned. "A true gift for a true Alethi man. Thank you, Nameless."
  11. Calano leaned in and nodded. "Understood. We'll talk after the wedding."
  12. Calano gently touches the crow and raven on top. "It's beautiful..."
  13. The Big Cro falls apart, then reappears as a Bigger Cro. The Bigger Cro shrieks, and Thaidakar goes deaf, dropping the sandwich. The Bigger Cro grabs it and flies away.
  14. The Crolings bond together to form a Big Cro, then they attack the building, taking the power stone and the sandwich. They run away, both in claw.
  15. Calano sends a bunch of Crolings to grab the sandwich and drop it in his hands.
  16. Calano walks over to the balloon attached to the bag of sand. "Hey, cool! This can be confusedly used to boggle people's minds with physics!" He turns to Stormy. "Thanks, Stormy!"
  17. Yes, I think that would help it fit in in World. I'll put it into the doc as a Life system.
  18. Hyron watched the stranger, then narrowed their eyes as the stranger continued to walk away, farther in towards the island. "Juuno," They said, not taking their eyes off the stranger, "Keep an eye on our friend here. Send a Feenix if he does anything. I'll go and warn the Elders. This stranger may become an issue." Hyron leaped off the tree, leaving Juuno to watch the stranger, then began the swinging vine technique again, swinging towards the Elders' Domain. Juuno watched the stranger intently. This was an important job, and he would not let it end badly. Silently, he leaped softly from tree to tree, following the stranger as he walked. The stranger did not appear to notice. @xinoehp512
  19. Calano tooko the glasses, then turned to Thaidakar. "Thank you. These... these could come in handy."
  20. Sonder. noun. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own — populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness — an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you'll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk.
