Bruh can I just fantasize in peace?

This is all hypothetical, and as such, there is a hypothetical nugget of Lerasium that I find and burn, thus gaining access to all the Allomantic metals. Also haha instant luck go brrr

A-Lerasium and F-Chromium Yes I just did that. I will fight you.

I'm bored, soooooo poll time!

When I first read it (and even when I re read it), WoR has always been a tad of a bore, except for the end, and the funny Shallan scene (iykyk) But all the others were positively riveting. And I've read them probably too many times. i need to branch out of Sanderson lol. -
Yooooooo Ok that is really REALLY interesting! I have more questions now, I don't know how to put them into words, but they're there. Thx for the WoB's!

Aww thanks!! This raises a few questions for me, as I was never informed/never caught on to the Unmade influence, so good point. I'd like to see if it ever gets covered again

Shallan's biological mother. Remember, the one who was killed by Shallan herself? It was super traumatizing and caused her to make Testament into a deadeye?

Wondering after you, after wondering.

So uh.... Have we cooled off? Can we continue the civilized discussion on Lin Davar? I would like to offer my opinion. Having read the series 4 times (yes i know, it is a number. small for some, big for others. i am proud of this number), i have a decent perspective on Lin's motives. I believe that he is overworked. Stressed. Obviously, this is true. But he copes with it in horrible, and I mean HORRIBLE ways. Beating his children, reckless endangerment of his reputation, etc. He deserves some pity, but not for everything. What happened with Shallan's mother does not deserve pity in any way. But the stress of his life takes a toll, and I couldn't help but pity him in that one scene when he yells at Shallan, and then sees that he's yelling at Shallan, and is mortified. The poor man was struggling. And in that moment, I pitied him. But that was the only moment he deserved pity. Most other times, not so much. This is mostly me ranting, don't read too much into it thanks. TTYL besties -Doomslug

Why hasn't Adolin been Executed or Banished yet?
Going_North_cal replied to Trusk'our's topic in Stormlight Archive
That's why I said half-expecting, because it could happen, or it couldn't. But yeah, it probably won't. -
Scud! Scud! Scud! Scudding scud and stupid scud.

Did You Hear!?!?!? Szeth Gets Flashback!!!!
Going_North_cal replied to SzethTheHonorblade's topic in Stormlight Archive
anytime I read anything Szeth, I pity him. Because I don't know his full story, I don't know what he's been through, how he experienced it. I can't wait to find out. -

Ok ok wait this is important. I finished Skyward last night, and I've read like a chapter of Starsight. When do I shove in the novellas? -
Why hasn't Adolin been Executed or Banished yet?
Going_North_cal replied to Trusk'our's topic in Stormlight Archive
For me, I think it's a mix of several things. One, like most of you said, the STORMING END OF DAYS IS HERE. They can't afford to pay attention to petty things like this. Two, Sadeas deserved it. Period. Three, Everyone hated him (reinforcing my point that he deserved it), so I'm half-expecting a pardon from Queen Jasnah about it lul -

So! I've made a Kaladin playlist on Spotify before, and I think now it's time for a Shallan playlist! Give me song suggestions (no explicit ones pls) and I'll make a playlist, as well as add some of my own songs to the mix! I'll post it after it surpasses 15 songs. Let the song suggestions begin! Edit: Quick note on the nature of the playlist! It's titled 'Drawing In The Gardens \\ A Shallan Davar Playlist,' so suggest songs that would fit this environment. Thanks!

I think Voidbinding is either Honor + Odium, or, in the case of Cultivation-oriented Radiant Orders (i.e. Truthwatchers), it's Honor + Odium + Cultivation.

If by 'high spren,' you mean highspren themselves, or True Spren (The spren that can form Nahel Bonds and give humans the ability to Surgebind) then in both cases, you have been misinformed. The spren themselves do not Surgebind, it is a Nahel bond with a human that gives it a life, and a mind, and gives the human the ability to Surgebind. Void spren behave similarly. I am unsure if there are a True Spren equivalent, but I do know that singers/listeners can bond with Void Spren to become Singers or Regals. As is the nature of a spren-human/singer bond, the spren gets something out of it (for void spren idk what it is, for True Spren, a mind) and the human/singer get's a form of Investiture and power. (i.e humans get Surgebinding, which is dependent on the spren involved, and the Singers get a form of power, which could make them a regular Singer, or a Regal, depending on the void spren.) In short, Void Spren cannot Voidbind anymore than True Spren can Surgebind
