  1. Doc's form solidifies, turning into Doctor Calano, who steps up to The Speakk. "Emma. You're in there, I know it. Fight back, we're all here to help you. Fight it!"
  2. On a scale of 1-10 what number is the color A? Why does nobody ask ME questions anymore? Any ideas on how to eat leaves more effectively? Is Iron Man hot? Opinions on cheeseburgers? Why do fish keep dying? Why is my mental health slowly degrading? Who are you, and what have you done with my carrots? Do you like carrots? Anything you can tell me about why the ocean is obviously yellow?
  3. I love quoting mega wise book characters in church.
  4. When you forget that someone's out of town, then you remember in the middle of typing a message and asking if they want to hang out.
  5. The shadowy avatar of Calano, Doc, appears next to Nameless. Doc reflects what the actual Doctor has been through, showing bloodshot eyes with massive bags under them, as well as a generally tired disposition. "Emma, please. We're all trying to help you. I know you're in there, somewhere. Please, let us free you!"
  6. The title goes well with the story, making it seem like a memory can do more than just be a memory. Love it, your writing is awesome.
  7. This week, I went through one of easily the most challenging things I will ever have to face.

Some background: At FSY, through sheer coincidence, I met and befriended a non-binary named River. River was not that outgoing, but we became fast friends, got each others numbers, and I have stayed in contact with them since FSY over a month ago. A few weeks ago, before my trip, they dubbed me as their 'adoptive older brother,' meaning we became such good friends, we became siblings. They are my little sister, I am their older brother.

    Now for the story:

On Tuesday, July 26, at around 1:15 PM, they randomly texted me "i love you dude." I thought this random, and said as such. They responded that they just felt like saying it. They then said that if "anything happens to me, don't miss me, ok?"

Of course, me, being too smart for my own good, read between the lines instantly, grasping the true meaning behind both these texts. And what I realized, terrified me.

I suspected at that moment that River was going to try and take their own life.

I instantly got off my game, and went to my room. I eventually got them to call me, and I was told that it had already gone further than a plan. River had drank glass cleaner in an attempt to end their life.

I immediately asked them to seek help, to call 911, to call somebody. They stubbornly refused. After much persuasion, I got them to contact their sister.

(As some quick context, River's mother was the cause of all of this. River's mother is toxic, manipulative, and does not deserve to be River's or anyone's mother.)

River's sister was aware of how River's mother acted, but called her anyways. During our FaceTime, River's mom bursts into the room and shouts, "What did you just swallow?"

River looks up, and does not respond. Their mother repeats the question. Then River looks down, and hangs up the facetime.

I know what's about to happen.

    I text River.

    No response.

I call River. I get sent to voicemail.

I have not heard anything from anyone through any means about them.

I know with 85% certainty that River is probably still alive, and in a mental hospital, without phone privileges (hence the radio silence), recuperating.

And I am still terrified. Completely.

River is my little sister. I don't care what anyone says. We are siblings, and I love them.

And if I find out that River is no longer on this world, if I find out that they are never going to text me again,

    I don't know what I'll do.

I will attempt to make River's mother's life hell, regardless of the status of River's life.

I apologize for the dramatics at the end here. But it is the truth.

And there's the story. It's Friday, and I haven't heard anything.

I'm going to keep being peppy and upbeat across the site, as per usual. I will not dampen anyone's moods except with this post. If you wish to offer condolences, please don't dampen the mood on other threads for my sake. PM me or SU about it and mention me. Or reply to this one.

    Thank you.

Russel M Nelson is the man. I can't wait to see what happens next with his leadership.

On the subject of River. would it be offensive if they really has moved on, I write a short piece about it? I promise I won't be offensive in any way (if I am, I'm not trying to) and will adhere to anything you say I got wrong or need to be changed about it. I will try my best to respect them and their life if I write it and they really is gone. but if they isn't, and he has survived. give them a big big big hug from me and others on the shard. tell them we love them and support them from what you have told us. *sends cool vibes*

Thaid, i'd actually prefer if you didn't write something. I just don't think that they're capable of being explained in words. There's so much you don't know about them, and it would hurt to try and correct the inevitable mistakes. Thank you for asking though.

  8. Scene #50: I've had a rough week. This one is depressing and stuff. Enjoy. so um yeah. if you wanna know what happened this week, I'm gonna post an SU ab it in a few minutes so. Yeah.
  9. Suv smiled, proffering his own wrist, showing his own Emperor's Sigil. "Despite being in the Emperor's Coven, I specialize in Plant magic. I sometimes dabble in Construction magic, but I like plants, so." Suv yawned as the rain pattered and hissed against the roof. Two scouts with holes in their cloaks dragged a grumbling Argan through the door. The Argan had some burns on him from the boiling rains, but he'd be fine after a once over by a member of the Healing Coven. Suv nodded to him. "There's our guy. What's his name?"
  10. "So I gathered. Alright, if you want to stay here to wait out the rains, that's fine." Suv finished writing stuff down, then ripped off the page, and set it on the desk. "You got a sigil, Cricket?"
  11. RAAAAAA!!!!! *slams hammer into the dirt* GIVE ME BACK MY DOOOOOOOOG. i am have the dumb but am also be the have of the smart. what you to say to the me?
  12. "I'm here too much, so I don't like it, but thanks." Suv wandered to a nearby desk, selecting a pad and paper. "So- You were after Sia Jergunstaink. You did a bad job. Argan got aggravated. Anything else? Suv said all this as he wrote it down.

  14. Suv landed at HQ, and thumbed back towards where he'd come. A couple of scouts flew off in that direction to retrieve the argan. Although he was so young, Suv had built up something of a reputation. He wasn't extremely powerful, but most people listened if he asked them to do something menial. "If you could follow me inside, so I can write up a report. Don't worry about the Argan, he'll be in the Conformatorium for a few days, but he'll be fine." Suv stepped up to the door just as the boiling rains started, and opened the door, beckoning Cricket inside. Right on schedule, he thought to the rain.
  15. "Well, would you please follow me back to HQ, Cricket? My name's Calano, but people usually call me Suv." With that, Suv sped off towards HQ.
  16. "So he's a mercenary. That we can work with, actually. Probably. If you wouldn't mind coming back to the precinct headquarters with me to answer a few questions, then we should go do that. It's going to rain soon, and we'd best be inside when it starts. I'll send some scouts to get this guy in a bit." Alix uncoiled from Suv's wrist, and lengthened again. Suv boarded, and glanced at the small biped demon. "What's your name?"
  17. hey thats me! We call it biromanticism :D. I'm biromantic, so this sentence completely describes me lol. edit: i mean i think thats what it is. thats how it is for me. although lately I've been wondering if i'm pan...? bruh idk :/
  18. Suv didn't respond, instead brushing himself off. "I'll go get some scouts to come collect him. Anything you can tell me about why he was so aggravated?" He fidgeted with his Alix bracelet a bit.
  19. Suv hurriedly got to his feet, and using both hands, created a medium sized circle. Vines grew like ropes thrown by vikings around a great beast, and wrapped around the argan, securing him to the ground. "You could have led with that," Huffed Suv.
  20. Suv cursed under his breath as the vines stretched and groaned. "Yeah. Yeah, I do." He cast another spell, adding more vines around the bothersome Argan.
  21. Oh Titan. Suv dodged to the side, but the Argans blade nicked his arm. He hissed in pain, and rolled to the side. Casting a quick spell, he wrapped the argan in thick, thorny vines.
  22. "You sure? Looks like this here Argan is being frustrating. I could take care of it for you." Suv smiled beneath his mask, and made a small circle in the air with his finger. A vine sprouted and immediately wrapped around the ankle of the argan. "Just a flick of the wrist."
