The Limbo bled to white, and Calano opened his eyes.
He looked up, and saw Lark.
Then, he looked Lark dead in the eyes, then saw red.
By the time it was over, Calano had Lark pinned under him, a wave of power preventing Lark from doing anything.
"You," Calano said coldly, "You allowed my fiancee to be captured, and almost killed, and did allow me to be killed." He reached over and grabbed the dagger from the floor.
"What does that make you think you deserve?" Calano asked, putting the tip to Lark's throat. "You stole my home, my clinic, my life out from under me. I should do the same. Put you in your own Limbo, how does that sound?"
