  1. Calano nodded, trying- and failing- to take a bite of the cookie. ”Well, I’ll help out, but I want to go check on the twins first.”
  2. “Love, you quite literally have the power of gods at your fingertips.” Calano smiled, picking up one of the cookies. It was hard as a rock, and very dark. ”You could have waved them into existence.”
  3. Calano walked up behind his wife, wrapping his arms around her. He buried his head in the crook of her neck, and took a deep breath. ”That’s okay,” He said, laughing softly, “What’s giving you issues?”
  4. Calano started walking into the kitchen, puzzled. ”What do you mean trying?” He asked.
  5. “That had damn well better be all you do.” Calano turned and walked away. He stepped into a side closet, opened a small portal and stepped through, appearing on the porch of a house. The porch had a small bench on it, and was made of a dark stained wood. He took a deep breath. ”Damn you, Death,” He muttered, “Making me nervous.” He quietly opened the door, and walked inside the home. ”Emma?” He whisper-hissed, “Hello?” @The Wandering Wizard
  6. “But he certainly wouldn’t mind more subjects, would he? Through ambiguous loopholes?” Calano narrowed his eyes. ”All you will do is observe?”
  7. “I don’t care,” Calano said forcefully, his mind flashing to his newborn daughters. Katharine and Evelyn had been born just a few weeks ago. Kat looked like him, and Ev looked like Emma. ”You work for a being of unimaginable power. I have reason to be suspicious of you.”
  8. “Observers can still leave their stench lying about.”
  9. “We’ve had enough of death in this place.”
  10. Calano narrowed his eyes. ”You stink of death.”
  11. Calano walked up to the man, looking him right in the eyes. ”What is your name, stranger?” He asked.
  12. Calano looked around. Then looked at the man. ”Can I help you?” He asked.
  13. Calano laughs. “Sounds like Platypus.” He waves as Haboc walks away.
  14. Calano smiled at the new person. ”Ah, yes!” Calano said, “Platypus told me you’d be coming by soon. Welcome! And please, call me Calano. How’s Platypus doing lately?”
  15. It’s the least I can do. You’ve done so much in taking care of them, and I regret not stepping in earlier. I’m sorry, love. I’ll be home tonight, to see you and them. Calano wanders the halls of the Clinic, making sure things are going smoothly.
  16. Calano sighed. I know, love. The Clinic can't run itself though. Calano paused. He could tell he was dissapointing his wife: That wasn't really something he wanted to do. I'll tell you what, beloved. I'll take the next few days off. The staff can manage alright without me.
  17. Calano laughs to himself. Adorable. You doing alright, taking care of them and all? Is there anything you need?
  18. Hmm. If you hear from anyone, would you let me know, my love? I'll probably send out some invites sometime today.
  19. Do you know if anyone we know is coming in today? The reunion is in a couple of days, but I haven't seen anyone or heard from anyone yet.
