    Okay - theory time. My DA PR Department Head is coming along, slowly. Still need to work out some details. But! He‘s a Coppercloud. He can burn copper. PR works to, at least partially, alter the memories of individuals using copper spikes. What if my Department Head has just been gathering some of the altered memory spikes and burning them to “gain” the memories within?

    Randomly placed alleys would be quite interesting, especially if they also ended up being random portals through space. I do feel like if several changes are happening to the Alleys they should have some "source", even if that source is as general as something happening to Alley 0 like it gaining sapience or going unstable. I like it!

    Also: Each Empire Doc will know the members within it, even if they don't show up immediately. Just makes things easier to make them that way.

    LG84 Day 1: A Fool's Diplomacy The diplomats watched the fire with a mix of emotions. Some shock, some horror, some a resigned look of accepting fate. The large Teod boat that had carried them to this island to negotiate had been set ablaze, and while their seons reported that the fire was contained, the small transport ships that had actually made it ashore to bring them and their food and water had not been so fortunate. They were stuck here, for now. The negotiations would continue, but a new tension filled the air - a tension that, sooner or later, for better or worse, would break. D1 has begun! There is a vote execution this cycle. The cycle will end on April 3rd at 12:00 PM PDT / 7:00 PM GMT. Please note PMs are closed. I'll send out the Empire Docs soon. There are 4 different Empires. Rule Clarifications: Player List: I think that's everything?

    ... Shard, why do you not give me notifications. Welcome shadow! This is more a theoretical Sel game so it's not too big on spoilers, although it is post-Elantris. Although again, I'm not sure how much writeup power I'm going to have. I need to make rollovers happen first Kas, Aman... well, just let me or Elbereth know if you need a break or a pinch hitter or a vent or something. That goes for anyone else too. ... was there something else I needed to say? Oh. Dahkor Kills and Elim Kills aren't distinguished. Maybe a few other things. I don't know, I haven't done this in a while.

    Just to add my two cents in: When I joined the AV I was more focused on exploring powers and power combinations. That led to Cassie, Byron, and Tyrian. I like where Cassie's ended up, and Byron's doing a bit better, Tyrian fell off immediately and will probably stay that way until the DA needs something turned into dust. But a rather self-critical TL;DR is Cassie is quite similar to early Jasnah with a mean streak and better opinion of the Ghostbloods, Byron's a really interesting savantist power attached to a Generic Rogue (minus the edginess), and Tyrian was a min-maxed glass cannon (could either absolutely destroy or do absolutely nothing with so little in between) who stole all of Byron's edge and then some. Playing with powers is fun, but there's also a lot to be played in with what they can do. Byron can slow down time for a chunk, but he's also extremely perceptive and quick while within his bubble, and learning to care about a world that's much much bigger than him. Cassie has to deal with her savantism in a much greater way then I imagined while also dealing with the fallout of a world tearing itself apart and is quickly going down a path to ignore it. I even have a plan for Tyrian, should the need for a monster arise (drastically changed, but something I did set up slightly). That's the other reason I'm playing with a DA head who's nothing more than a boosted Coppercloud, because it gives him a unique danger as just someone very good at what he does and lets him reasonably interact with people he should see beneath him. (Although I do have an interesting capability that he could have... but it needs a way to rip Identity from an object which, while probably DA capable, is also incredibly powerful in situations that are not the one I'm imagining )

    A few updates: One, I’m definitely lowering the Empire Doc Count. To what, I’m not entirely sure. But 3-4 are both much better than 5. Two, while signups are still closing at the same time it may take me a bit longer to get the game up and running. I’d planned to work on setup tomorrow (today?) but I’m suddenly much more busy, and I’ve got my last class ending 10 minutes before rollover starts. Hopefully I’m not still frantically making Docs by then but hopefully =/= probably. Two-point-five, in case me writing a 3:30 AM forum post isn’t enough indication, I’m a bit swamped lately. So writeups may be a bit light and/or nonexistant. This game is meant to be more frontheavy for me (hence why I’m not doing Honorblades), and I’ve got a coGM so I should be able to handle things. Three… I still need an IM

    Pretty sure it was the same hour And what's funny is, it seems like these two events were entirely unrelated. Unless Axindweth is a Ghostblood and/or they helped guide the two events to happen at the same time, but even that doesn't make sense. ... and hang on. Ulim came over to Roshar before this Herald died. That's interesting.

    Szeth's father was also the one that was in charge of Ishar's Honorblade, which means Ishar took it from him one way or another. It could have theoretically happened betweened Szeth's expulsion and his assassination of Gavilar, giving Ishar the connection powers he'd needed, but I sort of doubt that.

    ... oops. Meant broke after 5 years of being on Braize then returned to Roshar with Taln. But yeah I agree. The Blade Taln has in WoK is noticibly different than the one Dalinar gets in WoR. So the going theory is he did have his Honorblade in WoK, but somehow it was replaced with a normal ShardBlade after he returned. Maybe he's still Bonded to the Honorblade, maybe he's not, I'm not entirely sure how that works with him dropping it.
