I don’t think I understand. You make a statment concerning Lotus, then vote Lotus with no further comment, and those two things are completely unrelated? And I’m suspicious for thinking they are? I don’t really know how what you said would connect to Elim!Lotus, as it’s an IKYK and a half. But if you put them together, I will assume they’re meant to go together within your reasoning and I will try to deconstruct the thought process that would connect them. What I posted was my result, which doesn’t look... logical. If they really are unrelated then that makes some sense, but you made it look like it was justification for the vote. I probably am tunneling on you from last game, but that doesn’t discount that I can’t get a read at all on your intentions... among other things. And that makes me suspicious. Okay then... that changes things. I’m not sure how but it does.

... I take it I probably don't need to put a darkness warning for AraRaash posts in the future Hmm. Losing an Actor this early isn't good, but there's some we can work out from this. Either Devotary was targeted by the kill directly, or she used her Actor ability on the person who was targeted. My guess is that would be Lotus, but who knows. I don't know Devotary's playstyle that well, but from what I can see she's not the type to take unnecessary risks. Swapping with Lotus would be a... fairly obvious risk. Losing the possible Adjucator and suffering the penalty (which is not as bad as we once thought) seems better than losing an Actor N1. Although I suppose that would ultimately be up to Devotary. ... so because Devotary thought Lotus was innocent, and now she's dead probably due to a redirect, that means Lotus is evil? That's an IKYK that has a good chance of not even existing. Hmm. @Lotus, if you don't mind answering, did Iadon swap your role? Not what to, just did he? I'll try to make a read post tomorrow, but I need sleep.

Normally we just say A-Steel Spike or F-Copper Spike. It looks good, but the character ratings go in the other thread. And I’m not quite qualified to judge it. Welcome to the Alleyverse! I’d advise you against eating any offered cookies but it looks like you’ve already encountered some spikes...

I... er... AraRaash went a little dark with this one so I'm spoiler-ing it just in case. Refers back to the events of the writeup, ie gallows, and insane kandra things. I'd love thoughts if you think it's too much, or just in general.

This is permanent, right? ... you know, probably so... Losing a Trademaster isn't the worst thing. It's not great, but that penalty is universal at least.

1) 50% of people need to vote on the same person. Not 50% total. 2) I think Iadon can swap the Adjudicator role to Elims. It's just he can't give the Elims a Village-only role (The Secretary or, as of before 10 minutes ago, Iadon himself). And that would not be good. ... I wonder... what happens if Iadon hits an Actor? Could he swap his own role that way on accident? Or does he ignore the actor entirely? Anyway. The majority has so ruled, Gears. @Gears, if you're on, your time is almost up. Edit: ... Gears is asleep now, isn’t he.

While good meme, is putting a double-edged Shardblade on your shoulder really the best idea?

This is me quoting myself because Elkanah ninja'd my edit... I agree with the others that this doesn't make sense. While I personally agree that Gears and Lotus are hard to choose between... voting on Lotus for something suspicious Gears did... I don't get it. This post also bugs me... although it's in character for Gears to do role analysis, just because Village!Kingpins are a good counter to Elim!Adjudicators doesn't mean that the roles are specifically balanced to accommodate it. Elim!Protectors are a good counter to Village!Killers; does that mean that a village Coinshot implies any Lurchers are suspicious? And then you go from Kingpin analysis to Adjudicators replacing a full Elim? (I already talked about the flip-flop... non-committal makes me nervous.) I kinda get where you're coming from on Village!Adjudicators not being the worst role to D1 lynch, but it's still odd to me. Not sharing suspicions also hurts the village to an extent. I'll qualify this suggestion and advise only sharing suspicions during day turns. There shouldn't be anything massively suspicion-causing in the day-night rollover besides vote manip, which is fairly easy to analyze, and that prevents the Elims from taking out anyone based on their suspicions before they have a chance to gather evidence along with blocking the Elim!Adjudicator. The night-day rollover gives more information anyway. Besides complimenting Elkanah on a 3,000 word post, that's all I have for now. Aaaaaaand Elkanah ninja'd my edit. Er... Up here!

(I thought I posted this already... oops.) I’m trying to figure out where I fit in all of this, because technically I helped start this. Lynching Lotus would prevent the majority lynch rule, and I’m... hesitant to believe that she wouldn’t read and ask about her own role before claiming it. Claiming doesn’t make a ton of sense here. All of which point towards Gears’ idea being a good one. On the other hand, I highly doubt Lotus is an Elim and I very highly doubt she’s the Monk. I really don’t like Illwei voting on Lotus for an action of Gears’, and while Gears’ retraction and unretraction feels... understandable to some degree, it doesn’t feel incredibly Village. It feels more like he’s trying to survive no matter the attention he gets, but instead of being resolute he backtracks and unbacktracks. So... I’m not sure. I’ll probably vote towards the majority of the cycle for the PMs (like I’ll use them...), but I’m torn on this one. I’m reading Gears the most suspicious, but Lotus isn’t that far behind and Illwei’s vote swap is also bugging me. So I’ll keep out of this one. (For some reason I decided it would be smart to type this all up on mobile while I have a computer right in front of me, so I’ll edit this to respond to Elk and Gears’ massive post chain.) Edit: responding to things. But that’s the thing: the penalty is if the adjudicator’s killed by an attack. If she’s lynched, it doesn’t happen. That’s why I’m hesitant to vote on you or her. Even if she is Village, lynching her now keeps that penalty out of Elim hands, wheras the only way to protect Lotus D1 is if the Monk does it or an Actor does a suicide swap (or possibly Iadon saving the role, not Lotus). I just don’t know if it’s worth lynching someone who’s probably Village.

... why? One of three roles that give a direct bonus to the Elims upon death, and you claim D1? ... okay... do you have any other reads of note? Can't really quote over multiple pages but while I don't like Lotus's claim, I don't think it's lynch-worthy unless we really want to take that 50% vote requirement bonus away from the Elims. Or think she's an Elim!Adjudicator. So I'm not really liking Gears' vote here.

Onwards to real game stuff (@Kynedath - does "game-related posts" for the income include RP posts?). First of all, I have been poked by Matrim and then... unpoked? For posting RP? Hmm. Elkanah is once again going full force into asking questions, which I think is good, although there's a certain something he pointed out that irks me, which... I said last time, but this feels... more solid, but also minor. And there's no real motive for Elims to ask questions in-thread. So Village lean here. Other than that, nothing stands out to me much. Gears being Gears, Ventyl being Ventyl, Elkanah being Elkanah, a few inactives but none that wouldn't be expected (cough Xino cough). There are a few things I spy that could be suspicious if they continue, but for now I'll leave it at that. I'll point them out if they become a pattern, and I'll try to post a more fleshed out analysis tomorrow, but between school, the Reckoners reboot, and possibly playing two games at once I'm not sure how active I can be on weekdays. Aww... thanks! I have been considering taking up writing, for a bit, but I tend to not write my ideas down and therefore get trapped in a worldbuilding spiral. It's something I hope I can try over the summers. Of course, I said that last summer...

Faleast stared at the wall of a dying city. It was a shame, this Reod. An Investiture corrupted by nothing more than chance, regardless of what the preachers outside told him. They warned him not to go near those Domi-cursed walls. Faleast thought that strange. Domi was supposed to be a kind, loving, "merciful" god, not one who struck down an entire population of his lessers, whether they saw themselves as gods among men or otherwise. It sounded more like Sel's other god. Jaddeth. The one more aligned to the true idea of Dominion, with Domi leaning towards the remnants of Devotion. AraRaash found that funny, that Arelon's god of Devotion was named by the first few letters of Domi-nion. At least Jaddeth wasn't named so much. These walls... they bear the marks of both. AonDor may lean on the power of Devotion, but the Dor is a double gateway. And yet the power seems to have... died. He'd considered trying to pretend to be a fallen Elantrian to learn the secrets within. There was said to be libraries of information, on Elantris, the Dor, perhaps even the Shaod itself. Faleast didn't exactly look forward to becoming a Reod Elantrian, but it would be an... interesting experiment to see how their biology interacted with his own. Perhaps even find a way to reverse the disaster, for all or for himself alone. You know how Connection here works. If that's what you want to do, you know the price. "I know it," Faleast whispered. Besides his goldminds, he had yet to collect any form of Feruchemy, much less duralumin and nicrosil. He had no Connection to Sel, let alone Elantris. And there were two ways to solve that problem: returning to Scadrial and unlocking the secrets of Connection, or using a... simpler method. AraRaash's method. Hemalurgy. However, he had a few other plans. He had a feeling he wouldn't be able to alter anything on the large scale; his strange way of worldhopping took him between times, and he had no way of knowing whether the timestreams were preserved upon doing so. Curing Elantris was likely beyond his abilities. But according to recent rumors... there was another possibility. There was a Dakhor Monk in Kae. And while Faleast knew little more than the citizens, Fjordell and Arelish alike, he knew enough to know that Dakhor was an Investiture of its own. One that was dangerous, powerful, and wouldn't be missed by anyone in this city. And, one that involved a lot of bones. Faleast chuckled, turning from Elantris and limping towards Kae. He had a certain... affinity for bones.
