On one hand, her late claim of gaining info this cycle seemed like a way to get out of the exe, but it would also have only bought a cycle or two at the most if she didn't come up with results, and I had no idea how she could have info that directly helps the Elims vs helps the Village / helps everybody. So I thought it was an odd play either way... which I've learned is not always an Elim tell. My idea for why Village!Tani would need an extra cycle was that Seeker!Tani had scanned someone not burning a metal, which (assuming this is role madness) would mean either 1) they were Smoked, 2) they forgot/didn't want to for some reason, 3) they're Terris or Thug, or 4) they put in an Elim kill. A consecutive Seeking coming up with nothing would more likely mean 1 or 3, versus coming up with something means it was 2 or 4, and 2 can be ruled out based on activity or role. Inefficient, but it works. So I was willing to give Tani a chance at giving a defense, but I preferred to leave it as "a chance", I guess. (I did intentionally wait until a minute before rollover to tie it, as I didn't really want to turn it into a guaranteed Gears exe.)

The problem is, everything we do at this point is at gut, because no one has really done any analysis on the D1/D2 interactions. Which I might be able to do later next cycle, but we're all busy it seems. I suppose I could tie it... but I really don't have anything against Gears. As Devo pointed out most of what Gears does is NAI. ... Fine. Gears. For RNG.

... if this is getting emotionally tense, then I'm not sure what to do except let it be and remind people that this is a game. Tani, I don't really have any reason to trust you at your word, particularly with (as you yourself noted, granted) how quickly you shift from silliness to seriousness. You were leading the exe for quite a while before you got worried. This could be a Villager trying to track down a lead, could be an Elim trying to get out of an exe... could be a Villager just trying to buy time to defend themselves when this cycle has been particularly dead. There's only one real lead I can imagine would need someone to take a turn to follow up on... but it's not foolproof, for lack of a better word. And would likely send the Elims after you anyway, as I also can't really imagine that leading to anything that helps the Elims. Also, I was looking for who you'd want to die in your stead. Because someone's going to get exed here, one way or another.

I've read through things, but there's not much there to read... or not much that I can wrap my head around. I do note the "silly vs serious/frustrated" feeling... not sure what it changes though. Tani, if we don't vote you out, where would you have us go? Because I don't feel like voting Gears here.

I'm around - eye's doing better but it put me pretty behind on schoolwork so I'll still be inactivish. I'm going to try and look at Mat and Illwei's earlier posts at some point today, but with Mat and Quinn down killing Illwei may just kill all thread activity...

I am VERY excited for the LG66 rerun... if perhaps for other reasons Also if I'm running the next QF (which I think I am unless Young Bard, The God King, Experience, or Sart want it), I probably need to start getting a ruleset ready... I've got one but it would be the third Era 1 Mistborn game in a row and some of it's mechanics are rather similar to TJ's MR, if for different reasons... I should still be available to run the game, although having a co-GM could be helpful.
