  1. (Because I can’t read well on mobile) Are there any non-secret ways of PM spying? The Windwhisperer did that last time but that seems to have changed. Are there any non-secret ways of distorting the Sparker’s or the Investigator’s alignment scan results, besides them running into a Slider or Pulser? Smokers only block Seeking/Soothing/Rioting here.
  2. Oh yeah... When you say that every player will have at least one role, does “Kandra” count as a role? Because the Kandra didn’t have a non-Kandra role last time around without Spikes/Medallions which left me very high and dry pretending to still be a Pulser but that’s besides the point.
  3. (I think that QF slot is the one I just ran, by the way.)
  4. Can you clarify Bloodmaking? Before I thought it said “any actions”, now it says “attack actions” which are... very different. If you have a way of surviving an attack when you are attacked by storing gold (such as tapping gold the same turn you’re storing it, for some reason, or having an unbroken Thug life) does that still kill you? Is that what “no matter what” means? Can tapping gold block a removal if you can only tap at Night? Can Soulbearers store abilities on turns they would normally not be able to use them, such as storing A-Iron on Day turns? Can Soulbearers who gain another Feruchemical ability store it with Nicrosil?
  5. I’ll sign up as... hmm. I wonder... I’ve been looking forward to this
  6. Silence Montane was glad it was in poor taste on Threnody to burn their dead. Well, she didn't need to use that name anymore, did she? Her face shifted, turning into what had become AraRaash's standard appearance. He wasn't a very good kandra, was he? He'd only gathered a few new faces... although the White Fox was quite a catch. "Alright, time to go," she - he? - said, sealing the wound in his throat with a thought. "Shades aren't as fun as I thought. And we couldn't find one of those... well, who knows." And no Eldritch Apocalypse, Faleast thought. Right. "Yeah... seeing what those did to Philico, maybe not the best idea. Though we did get them close. Not out, but close. That was the plan, right?" If Lamentation wanted a look at the Elder Things, he got it. We didn't get much besides the face, unfortunately... should have tried to get one of those Spellbooks. "Maybe," AraRaash said. He was thinking. Thinking in his little place, where Faleast couldn't see. So where next? AraRaash giggled. "Wherever the world takes us... and I have a hunch as to where it's going next." They hadn't accomplished much on Threnody. An Evil was marked, and Lamentation had seen enough... but AraRaash had a few other ideas in mind. Lamentation set down his glass. So the Sleepless had been their last culprit. This task was complete. Silence's Waystop was in a bit of disarray. William Ann had put up a valiant effort trying to run the place herself, but she had just gotten the unfortunate news of the death of her mother. Silence had prepared for this, of course, but she had an... aura of invincibility around her. One that fooled many a visitor, and even more so her own children. It was a... sad sight, at that. A lamentable one. And one Lamentation had seen play out, over and over, even with this very pair... no matter which one of them was first to pass, the reaction between mother and daughter was quite similar. Lamentation sometimes wondered what that loss felt like. For all of his might, he could not break the barrier into his own memories from before his first rebirth, and his memories between then and his Ascension were... not entirely unpleasant, but nothing he felt attached to. That was what made him what he was. A Shard of Mourning, with nothing to mourn... he knew the concept well, and there were... regrets, of his. But looking at the sheer look of anguish on the faces of William Ann, and Sebruki barely holding herself together... he knew something was missing. A last piece, perhaps. His sifting through Ambition's shattered form had found a few bits and pieces he had no analogue for. Perhaps there were yet more. His thoughts turned to his Harbingers. They had done well, if they had been unable to 'survive' their encounter with the dark. Someone asked him, for drinking money in exchange for a story. He absentmindedly paid the man. Faleast was holding together well, but AraRaash... he was hiding things from his Twinmind. Intriguing things. Ambitious ones, at that... "Earnest? You don't want to hear that same old story again, do you?" Lamentation nodded, half to himself. Perhaps it was time. Time to go... back. Nebulousness served him and his Harbingers well, but it was time to solidify, to strengthen. The Elder Things had given him a few ideas on Evil... Good was well taken care of as well. He could initiate a cycle now. And it was time to correct one of those regrets of his.
  7. Okay. Don't stutter, don't make a fool of yourself. You're wide awake. “Alright, so I just have some basic information to get from you. What’s your full name?” "Poller. No surname." "Ok, and could you tell me where you are right now?” “Einladung Hopsital.” “Alright, and could you tell me what the date and time is right now?” “4th of Scholus... not sure the exact time.” Checking a pocketwatch would be cheating, wouldn't it... "Like 9:00 or 10:00 or so?" “Okay. Could you tell me what’s brought you in today?” That was the question, wasn't it. "Well... I've had narcolepsy ever since I was little. Really it's just the narcolepsy not... catplexy? No, cataplexy. I don't have cataplexy, so my muscles work alright, I just get the sleep-related things. But the thing is, I'm also a Bronze Ferring, so I can store sleep. So if I can't sleep at night, I store bronze to sleep, and if I can't stay awake, then I tap bronze... which works pretty well to keep me on a normal sleep schedule. But without bronze, my symptoms can get pretty bad. And yesterday, I ended up just falling asleep because I wasn't tapping enough. Fell over, dropped my cane - my main metalmind - and then whacked my head on a chair. There was a Truthwatcher nearby, so the actual bruise got healed almost immediately, but I still feel a bit... different." "Oh, and while I was out I had a dream about... I don't even know if it was a dream. But it was a battle... it looked like the the Seven Day War. I would have been a kid, but I was fighting... and there was a... monster, I was fighting... and it was so real. And I... someone attacked me with a Shardblade..." "That's pretty much it."
  8. Blast it. Pulling. Elements were Pulling. Alloys were Pushing. That was the first thing about the Allomantic arts besides how to use them to kill people. Blast it, Cassie, what was wrong with you? The answer to that was unfortunately obvious. Perhaps she was just still rattled. She had plenty of reason to be in shock right now... "Yes, of course. Forgive me." That was an interesting point. "Do you think it's even possible? Just to give up the Soulcaster, let it go? It would ruin my business, my image... almost everything I've set myself to be. And it doesn't fix the fact half my arm's metal. I don't know anything that can fix a steel soul... or whatever metal it is." "I guess if anyone would know, the Hospital would... you have much of a reason to get there? You seem to have a better handle on it than me."
  9. Problem: it’s 5 Villagers, 2 Elims right now (presumably). NK makes it 4 Villagers vs 2 Elims unless I manage to block it. Danforth’s 80% vote manip would make the exe 3 to 3, and that’s assuming nobody goes Insane. We lose that tie and the game ends much like the previous, in which Quinn and Friends can drag out the game to parity with their vote control. If I do block a kill, Broken Survivors makes the survivor insane anyway. Still 3-3 before other Insanity. ... So, don’t Discover The Hidden tonight. Pretty please.
  10. ... so, anyone got a Crossbow? (Don't answer that. You know what to do.) Quinn, why haven't you been moving votes around? Vote manip is so much fun!
  11. Mat, you were supposed to scan Books passing the item, but you decided you’d rather go insane instead I would assume the Elims have some way of accessing Pallid Masks, whether Surveyor or otherwise. And speaking of passing the Pendant... Books, why’d you give it to Archer and not to me?
  12. Yup. (Not necessarily in that order.)
  13. ... yes. I could definitely see two Village ones, at least in general. It would have to be balanced by something, but we've already got one Elim Shade Expert which essentially let them ignore Shades if they can get away with missing Actions, which it seems they certainly have been. And if we're going off of that logic, why would Elim!Surveyor!Szeth - who we know isn't Danforth now, and was thus off of a lot of suspicion - claim Surveyor? I asked for it, but honestly I wasn't expecting to get it. I could also see both Books and Szeth being evil, with Danforth!Books claiming Surveyor, faking a vote move on themself, and then having Elim!Surveyor!Szeth pass an item to Archer. But that raises the same question. Hmm. Is there a world where we've got Danforth!Quinn and E-Surveyor!Szeth?
  14. I've got no plans for leaving it tied near the end. But I also don't have much time, and honestly would rather exe Quinn than Books... I haven't seen much in the way of points for either, and Books has decent potential to be a Surveyor. (Particularly, Mat I don't understand your "math".)
  15. Well, now I’m wondering if Danforth moved a vote to allow for a “provable” Surveyor claim...
  16. D3 there was a ghost vote on Vonne and one vote missing from Araris. That's either a Idol move, a Danforth Move, or a Secret Vote.
  17. Here's my attempt at a PowerPoint meme (using a lot of nice art borrowed from the Coppermind):
  18. Good to know we're not tunneling down to a dead end (again... looking at you LG69...) Two Surveyors. Interesting. Either of you manage anything fun?
  19. ... one second. @Elandera, is Danforth immune to the Insane condition, meaning Danforth can't show up as Insane at all? Or is Danforth immune to the effects of the Insane condition, meaning Danforth can still vote/use actions while Insane? Quinn claimed roleless to Archer if I remember correctly, so I'd rather exe her than our only Surveyor claim. Anyone want to Counter, now's the time.
  20. Aye, we exe one of Books or Quinn here. To me, Elim #4 could be anyone who isn't Ash, Archer, and I guess Jondesu (because 2 extra lives is nearly a 6-person team in a 15-player game). That leaves the non-Danforth Quinn/Books, Mat, Azmine, and Szeth, and we can likely narrow things down from there. But getting rid of that vote move (or any secret redirect abilities, yes) is probably better. If anyone's going to decide which, I'd prefer Archer do it, though. This is finals week for me (!!!!) so don't expect me to do too much... I should be around enough to post/vote/action/etc but that's had a habit of not happening when I get busy.
  21. ... points taken, but why is it confirming if Quinn hasn't posted yet?
  22. Archer, how many times do I have to say it’s a vote move and not a redirect.... Unfortunately, I think the three people that confirmed my protect actions were... Quinn, Books, and Vonne. Fun. But Quinn confirmed me in-thread D3 (the item pass happened N3 iirc), and I’ve been doing the same action every cycle in case anyone else wants to check. (Side note: I didn’t block a kill, the Elims didn’t put one in/Danforth put it in and it failed.)
  23. Mainly we just know that Jondesu isn't Danforth, and has been accurate with scans so far. (Oh, and two Elim Thugs is a lot )
