  1. Interesting. As you may have noticed, I did not get many investors into AshPlan, as it seemed a great many people wanted to scan me. So what did you all see?
  2. I didn't say it was a good idea (I'm self protecting (or am I? (I am (but really, am I?))) so I don't need to worry about drawing in Elim kills... in fact it would be preferable )
  3. People don't like to post suspicions at night as really all that does is draw Elim kills toward you. ... wait a minute... I've got an idea!
  4. Third Category: If you want to choose your own Action Scan target but want me to know who it is... uh... tell me? Might still have double-ups but that's that.
  5. ... one problem with that. (Not a major problem, but one problem )
  6. Okay, let's see. If I'm going to be the coordinator we'll need some ground rules. I see your DannexPlan and raise you one AshPlan If you want to trust me with your night Action Scan (or want to not be Action Scanning), PM me tonight saying so. I'll assign a player for you to scan. When the Day rolls around... actually, wait, no. I'm going to ask Elandera what I can do code-wise. I really don't want to out players who may have more important things to be doing during the night... now that I'm out of the box I don't know what people would be doing at night besides Action Scanning, Item Using, ... or Item Passing? I guess Surveyors might do that... Anyway. If you don't trust me... either PM me tonight saying so or don't PM me at all. You're off the hook - RNG your target, pick a target, verify me, do an Elim kill, do a barrel roll, whatever. I might up the ante on you getting a Scan, but I've been on the receiving end of a scan wall before and it's not fun. So at least trust me when I say that I'll be sending scans into Group A as well. However, if you scan I will ask you to hold off on announcing your findings for ~24 hours. In the off chance I get an Elim to cover for another Elim, I'd like to be able to get two birds with one stone instead of one bird with... two stones.
  7. Oooh. Green. Could everyone perhaps say which PMs they spied on? Not what info they got, but just which. I've got an idea. I did Quinn-Archer.
  8. No Scribe Note, so something's up. Time to figure out what. Yes, I'm aware that I'm not confirmed good, but I'm relatively easy to confirm as (a) Silence, so... well, watch me. One less Danforth at the very least. As for who I'll be protecting... well, can't spoil that can I? Jondesu having Bones doesn't really mean much, methinks. But I would like to hear his thoughts on it.
  9. You got two minutes... Edit: because the Shard didn't load and that was posted two minutes ago. Yes. That is how time works.
  10. Alright, fine. @Archer @Illwei @Quintessential @Flyingbooks I'm Silence Montane. Please go somewhere else.
  11. My first thought here was that I Elim-read Ash and therefore Jon, but then Ash hopped back on Jon, so I don't know what to think here. Woop. Again, I voted Illwei because the exe was going to be decided by TWO VOTES and Illwei had the most at the time. When Jondesu became a better option (and he still hasn't responded) I took that as an option. Excluding Quinn who was dead at the time, I'm the only AG Elim in this game (unless I'm completely forgetting who Scarlet was again). I honestly don't see the connection here besides the fact you chose an example which points directly at me. That we should look at the people who jumped on an exe quickly... you know, like Jondesu did... and that opposition doesn't really indicate anything at all. Sure there's not much info from that, but it's more than we would have gotten from a random exe or worse one decided by secret votes. Not sure what else you're asking me, as you seem to quote people talking about me instead of quoting me...
  12. Well, better 30 minutes before rollover than 5... Give me a second.
  13. Ah. Well, let's see if there's another Scribe with anything to say... unless anyone wants to fess up to anon-voting for Gears.
  14. Hmm. @Elandera, does the Scribe's AnonPost need an Action? I was under the impression that it didn't, but I'm now seeing that's not really mentioned... Also, nice to see that PM safety is well maintained in the game with PM spying. Sigh...
  15. Players who out killing Elims will usually have a short life span might not be an unnecessary risk for the village, but the specific player it certainly is. Especially if there's only one Silence around. The thing is, "because Gears is Gears" means that someone found a reason to kill Gears off of... three poem posts. Or, off of reputation. Both of those can tell us a lot.
  16. What part about to avoid Danforth deciding the exe do you not understand... it was 2 votes Illwei (after Araris switched), 1 vote on each Jondesu, Mat, Quinn, Pizza, Ash, Szeth. As you pointed out, that is not ideal. As for Illwei vs Jondesu... hmm. Jondesu would be unaware of Gears' style unless he's been secretly doing a ton of background research, and it sure didn't seem that way when he was playing my QF. But he'd also be unaware that Gears has previously died a lot D1. ... eh, I think I like it more than Illwei. Jondesu. @Jondesu The Scribe has a halved rate of failure on their Action-Scan ability, and their anon post gives them the ability to out Night Killers anonymously. Plus if it's hitting a suspected Scribe or just taking a N1 potshot, I would think most players would go for the role.
  17. How are there seven people viewing the thread and none of them have posted in... I don't even know. To avoid Danforth deciding the exe, Illwei. Anyone has other ideas, I'm all ears. (I'd be willing to move to @Quintessential as well... Mat less so but maybe.) (@Illwei because for some reason it only wants to work down here...)
  18. Because from what I remember, the people who thought it was me when I was the MR48 Doctor were split between it being Gears and Lament!Ash. So I don't think it's that much of a leap to assume something similar occured here. (Especially because the content of many semi-fourth-wall-breaking voices is indicative of either of us). So guessing it was me was a very close guess, one that nobody else made. And I don't think Gears was killed randomly. At least it was a low-info kill... but there are many other targets for those. And even randomness is affected by what people know of the player in question.
  19. (This looks like a good opportunity for blue text ) ... this does fit, I think. I'm still very busy. School's out in two weeks and I've got a lot of stuff due that I... also lack the motivation to do. However, as a player, I'm pointedly trying to not play the same way I did the last two games, where busy-ness meant I just did nothing and let the game wash by me, because 1) it sucked, and 2) as either a villager or an elim doing the same strategy as the last two (Elim) games is a fantastic way to get myself executed. So I'm trying to post more, at least be more active in the conversation, more... social? But not necessarily investing several hours into writing up suspicions. So let's fix that, shall we? Matrim - Illwei - Archer - Quinn - Dannex - Ash - Araris Matrim, Illwei, and Araris were around for Gears's strain of multi-deaths. Archer, Quinn, and Dannex were not. Matrim, Illwei, Araris, and Quinn would likely recognize Gears' writing style. Archer and Dannex would be less likely to. I don't think Dannex would kill Gears thinking he was the Scribe, as Dannex specifically talked about both Gears and the Scribe. I feel like Elim!Dannex would be setting up for a misexe on Gears rather than kill him. Matrim PM'd me at night asking if I was the Scribe. (For reference, a similar thing happened in MR48 where I was the (Elim) Anon-poster, using my Lamentation voice which is rather similar to Gears'.) I didn't respond to it, as I didn't realize you couldn't PM spy during the Night... so it's possible that Mat deduced he was misreading Gears as Lament!Ash. Quinn probably knows Gears best of the post-LG71 players - she would recognize Gears's style but not know (as much) of Gears repeatedly dying early. Illwei didn't PM Gears D1. That doesn't really tell us much. Archer is likely a null. He's been Elim with Gears before, but again that doesn't say much. Araris did mistakenly kill Gears thinking he read his style elsewhere. Not sure if that would make Araris more hesitant to do that again or not. So I think the most likely order of likely Gears Killers is Matrim / Quinn > Araris > Illwei / Archer > Dannex. If I had to stick myself in there I'd probably be with Illwei/Archer, unless you'd accept the defense that I was very looking forward to RP'ing alongside Roko on Threnody.
  20. (I did follow the thread, I was just busy all day. Sorry.) Alright, let's see what we can do. Matrim - Azmine - Illwei - Archer - Quinn - Szeth - Dannex - Jondesu - Ash - Araris - Vonne - Pizza - Books Pizza and Books were inactive, and I don't think Vonne or Azmine would be leading the kill action due to newness. (I'm not scratching out Szeth here due to their activity level.) Matrim - Illwei - Archer - Quinn - Szeth - Dannex - Jondesu - Ash - Araris ... well. Where do I go from here... Gears was a low-info kill. But it was also a Gears kill, where Gears has been killed D1/N1 a... fair number of times. LG71 he was killed N1 by Araris, who thought he recognized his writing style in the Hemalurgist Doc. So it's also possible that his style was recognized by a player as the Scribe, and was taken out to avoid their increased scans... I don't think Szeth or Jondesu would recognize Gears's writing... Jondesu would probably be more willing to kill Gears N1 than most, but I'll take him off. Matrim - Illwei - Archer - Quinn - Dannex - Ash - Araris This is somewhat why I don't like doing these, it it turns into "the medium experience players" real quick. But I'll limit to what I look at tomorrow. Note that Dannex is the only one who called out (in thread) the Scribe note. Does anyone want to confirm if Mat targeted Jondesu / vice versa?
  21. It only counts as an Elim tell when it's longer than 30 minutes!
  22. I did too follow the thread, Shard...
  23. Why would you make a tie when we all know exactly how RNG will decide a tie...
  24. Az could have just got hit by Horrors. Since Quinn reminded me it's a thing I can probably analyze this, I'll see if I can read the kill. But probably tomorrow.
  25. 5th highest per your chart... Mat and Szeth are tied for 3rd. CC abbreviates a lot of different things...
