Not sure how I feel about that Wiz explanation but sure I guess I would unironically love a flavor role where they had to score a penalty kick to win :P. (I jest, I jest. Kinda.) Edit: What's the point of that? We don't get flips. There's no benefit because it takes away our ability to judge behavior based on switching because suddenly all switches are of equal suspicion.

[This is where I would say what Aman and Stick said if they hadn’t beat me to it]

I think another of Aman’s points though is that despite that, Striker didn’t vote him, yeah?

Yes, how comforting :P. Not sure how I feel about that since I don’t love my Walin vote really. Can I just vote… everyone not me :). Edit: Randby! Got any reads?

So I saw Aman's VC edit and was like 'huh, maybe I'll sheep him on Striker' but then got distracted and came back to see Wiz's vote which for some reason makes me not want to vote Striker even though... it shouldn't have anything to do with my vote? Help I've bounced too many red names around and none of them make sense, this is bad, we haven't even voted anyone out yet xD

@Amanuensis I looked back at Walin's post and was surprised to see that he only has two? Only on page three. I thought he had... more than that :P. Also I think I initially misinterpreted what Walin's first post was-- he said that he wanted to drop his Archer vote before rollover, and I read that like 'drop a vote onto Archer' and not 'drop my vote off Archer' which is what, I think, he meant. And... that's basically it, his second post was further explaining the foistering. So my gut ping of him doesn't really hold up since it was based on a misunderstanding and he said himself he didn't know if he'd be back before rollover. ...In other news, my vote is for sale... His role is verifiable if we suddenly have a random extra kill one night that Aman ascribes to his cards without any counterclaim. I suppose all that would prove is that Aman was the killer, not that he's specifically the referee, but due to the detailed nature of the claim and the fact that he posted this only a few hours into the game, I doubt it's made up. As for him being an SK anyway... that's true, yeah :P. But I would say that he's helping the thread. He's being more villagery than a lot of people, and I actually believe that he'll village side. It being a black hole of discussion is true but I don't think it's the kind of black hole that will persist, unless he becomes a problem. But that'd be an easy problem to solve via votes. I guess for me it comes down to: it's not our wincon to kill neutrals, and Aman hasn't done anything threatening towards us. From me, that gets a pass.

Hmm, underwhelming is a good word. But it's a word I'm okay with, it's D1, yeah? Though the 'it's D1' argument doesn't hold as much weight in this game since every turn is sorta like another D1 all over again >> When did Stick vote Tani again? Cause I was voting her too, for awhile there. Can't remember if the timing lined up at all. Couldn't tell you What I can say is that something about his posts last night made his name come to mind just now, but I'd need to actually go look to figure out what it is. Which I will do, probably :P. I got time. But I also got schoolwork, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I feel like I’ve said a lot of words about Fadran without actually saying anything, but I think I’d rather not kill him today. I don’t read him village, exactly, but I feel like I will in a few turns, if that makes sense :P. Archer is as null as they come which is a problem. Stick I want to be village but that doesn’t mean much. Walin would be who I’d want to prod.

When did Archer advocate for claiming? I thought that was Aman, and he’s neutral, so :P. Edit: Oh hello new page Archer didn’t shoot down Steel in that way so I guess it did happen. Got lost in the pages and pages for me :P.

Did... you just claim because Archer asked you to? >> I guess we don't know what that means. Don't tell us what that means.

You're only bound by your word because Walin asked you to. You don't even know why he did. Do you? I'd think that would make a difference.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints corner
Mat replied to Kelsier'sGodComplex's topic in General Discussion
Ok this time it is to burst the joke. I, personally, would like it if the church wasn't called something it's not. Even as a joke. There are better subjects for jokes. Thanks! :D. -
--I could see e!Fae defending e!Wiz a little too strongly there. --I'm more inclined to read Bookwyrm as an elim who wants to appear like a neutral than an actual neutral, but that should come with the block of salt that is my horrific history of reading Bookwyrm correctly. But I don't see how n!Bookwyrm would know enough about Devo to feel like voting there would actually further his wincon. --I actually think Fadran's defense has merit, mostly because I've argued it as a villager myself. I've also argued it as an elim, though :P. I think there's something to be said about his care for self pres; this might seem hypocritical for anyone who knows me but I do think that his obvious care of defending himself is in contrast to his earlier play this turn. Kinda reminds me of TJ's point where he walked back his 'no one is village!' thing. That's basically how Shining got misexed that one game though so idk. And I definitely understand that-- like I said, I'm more in between as far as that argument goes. But I sympathize with both, and so was willing to advocate the minority on the issue

Yep! Tani Fadran (Still want an answer, Tani :P) I guess I can see that. I just thought it appeared like a joke from the get-go. I think there's something to be said about claiming while about to be exed. But I think there's a reason we don't mass claim in normal games. There's a bit of a difference here, but not a lot because mass claiming here ends up giving us the same result as mass claiming in normal games. And that result isn't something that's objectively better.

Wait. So you win if you red card two world cup roles, and you get removed if those are the same role. So you can win and still be in the game, or you can win and be removed? Or if you red card the same role twice do you not win? Edit: I can read. You answered this already >> I would err on the side of not. But you do you :P.

I was thinking more that he sounded uncaring of how he appeared, which might read village. Doesn't have to though. See, I had the same thought, but is that not a tad obvious to actually be a slip? Like I don't really see a world where someone says 'there are no villagers', actually forgetting that if taken seriously it would make it look like they are evil. In my head it just comes back to the above, where Fadran doesn't really care if it looks like that, he'll make the joke anyway. And I don't really think that was what Stick was saying. I'm somewhere between Stick and Orlok on this debate, and I can see both sides, so I don't think Stick is suspicious from this. Close votes is a lot more useful when we get flips. Yeah, but so do ~40% of all Bookwyrm posts ever Why'd you vote Wizard, Tani? *raises hand* Was also going to ask this :P. And can I assume you're village-siding? :3

Hey! Welcome back :D. Walin feels weird to me, but I think I should look closer before formally considering that a suspicion. But I should go to bed, gotta get up in like 7 hours :P.

Ayyy welcome back TJ! I approve of you honoring mad watcher, though that may not count for anything Good times, that game was. I remember suspecting wilson early on of being Bleeder based solely on the thought that Bleeder would go to an experienced player and not someone new. I was kinda right, but that doesn't mean the reasoning was reliable, after all, I did get Winsting... Also, you should label your x axis and y axis Otherwise I could read your table as Wiz voting me, etc
