"That isn't quite what I meant Partier, but you can be that kind of productive and I will focus on a different kind of productive." What in heck is 'pog', I thought. Since this language was made from direct mental concepts being sent in addition to speaking my mind instinctively understood that it was a positive thing. It was definitely not a word used often in the monestary.

"I am not a monk anymore, so there are no prohibitions on my partying. I do, however, retain some responsible tendencies, so I will be there to supervise." "I have a meadow, so through force of will, you could have a house. BUT, we can also turn this into a party of creation where we gather the consciousnesses that exist in this place and we collectively create. I'll make sure that this party is productive. Don't worry."

“Me?” Gaivon said, looking up from the ledgers he was pouring over. Glory faction finances were doing fine, but the effects of the Heritage faction’s plotting could certainly be seen, “I’m the administrator of finance. Who are you? Your accent doesn’t sound from around here?” Ed Venture *return poke*

*sighs meditatively* ”I give you my permission to use my meadow of peace and harmony for your ‘party’” The closest I had ever come to a party within my memories was the day once a year when we monks could break our vow of silence.

Good game everyone...Even though we lost. I had no storming idea what I was doing, but that is what a first game is for. Danex and Archer as elim came as a surprise. This was nice and simple though for my first time. Thanks Illwei for GMing. Despite it all I had fun! edit: just read through the elim doc, and I appreciate their sympathy and understand that we all must do what it takes to win. XD

I probably am not qualified to answer on whether to push through era 2, because I love the metallic arts, and I love how they interact with technology in Wax and Wayne's books. Independent from the magic, I think the characters are amazing. Wayne is so complicated, you want to love him but also hate some of his decisions and actions. Wax's emotionally powerful arc about getting over Lessie and, (Shadows spoilers) My recommendation is to push through and it will be worth it, but that is coming from someone who is biased toward era 2. (Steris is my spirit animal)

"Philosopher, Inventor, I will help you with your disputes, because Meditator almost sounds like Mediator, and that makes me qualified." Thinking back through my memories on the language called Thai, Meditator and mediator did not sound similar, but for some reason they did within the language I spoke now, and that logical connection seemed intuitive. "Yes, our perceptions make things exist to ourselves, but within this place we can do more than perceive, we can create, and that causes things to be real." I gestured to my bubble of peaceful meadow floating in the void. My personal paradise. Proof of my words.

That is how I felt last year, and I did end up quitting a little over halfway through. NaNoWriMo just wasn't a high enough priority, and it mentally exhausted me. However, what I probably should have done is revised my goal to one that I could accomplish. That is what I did this year. I set a ridiculously easy goal of 100 words per day, and am probably hitting more like 300-400, but it feels better to accomplish an easy goal and form a habit, than to try something too hard and quit. Last year when I quit it felt like a burden off my shoulders. I love writing, but that commitment was a bit much, and not important enough to me. I'd recommend revising your goal to something more manageable, and maybe next year trying a little more. Steady increases in goal amounts until you can do 50k in 30 days. It's up to you. But, if you like mentally toughening yourself up through self-inflicted psychological torture I say keep going. (I'm not being sarcastic. I run cross country and often push the limits of my willpower. There's something to overcoming a seemingly insurmountable challenge.)

"Exaclty," I told the Dreamer, "Balance and harmony are good within oneself, but in the outside world you must create, destroy and progress. We cannot have harmony yet. First we need a world to have peace and balance within. Now is the time for action."

Another wave of memory washed over me. I had been a monk. The name Meditator fit me. Language. They were speaking of language. If my memories were to be trusted I had known a language called Thai. Well, that language was likely irrelevant now. I spoke in the language that we collectively had created, "I too accept this language. But now that we have a basis of communication we need to work together to use our power to do something. If we are all trying to accomplish our own purposes, this world will stay in balance. This is fine, but to bring about change we need to combine our forces to tip the fundamental balance of the universe."

Why did you shoot the person standing next to me? It appears to be still breathing.

Football. As a runner that terrifies me. Large people running at you with the single intention of pounding you into the ground. What are you typically doing at noon?

"I think the one you call the inventor, is simply trying to reach the fullest potential of what is possible in this place. That can't happen when he is constrained by a physical body. This place is a limbo of sorts. A blank slate, upon which we are artists. Creating. We do not have all power, despite what some may think *cough*Frustration*cough* but there are many things we can do. There is peace here in my meadow. But there is potential outside of it. They are not mutually exclusive though." As my memories kept returning, I realized that I was a monk in the life before. If that life existed at all and was not some sort of fabrication to rationalize a spontaneous beginning of existance.
-
“Oh my apologies. I did not mean you my friend. I was speaking to our other friend who believes he is a human dreaming. As for whether these memories are fabrications I know not. Only that some of us remember things from a life that is not this.”
-
I opened my door to the Philosopher/Dreamer and recreate a physical form. ”Hello. I think I have this place figured out. Maybe... we began existing here, and imbedded within our consciousness was memories. Perhaps real. Perhaps fake. Of a past as a mortal. You simply regained these memories quicker than I. You still think of yourself as a mortal whereas I got used to the idea of being a Limbo entity. My memories however are returning and it is disturbing.” I resumed a non physical state. I had projected more confidence than I felt. I really knew nothing about this strange existence. Hopefully it gave some direction to the poor man though.

Taking one last bite of the cookie, I decided to follow the example of the Cookie Creator and fade out of my limiting physical form back into the form that I began my existance. I have mentally recovered, and am ready to once again take advantage of the creative potential of this place.

I took another bite of my cookie and tried to stay in the background. This conversation I was observing was growing increasingly interesting, entertaining, but also heated.

Powder Mage by Brian McClellan. Sanderson had him on a live stream a while back so I thought I might check it out. The first book was brilliant. The magic is cool and subtle, and I love all of the characters. (No it's not just because it includes my username in the title.) Warning it has a lot more swearing than Sanderson, but beyond that it is just as clean.

Sure. These are hilarious out of context, and I'm sure they are even better within their context.

“Rust! These are good,” said I as I tasted the cookie and was hit with the full force of a realization of Space, Time, and Dimensions.

I make an exception to my temporary oath of solitude and let Fadran and his curiously good-smelling invention in.

These are funny. I'm dying. Where on Discord are most of these coming from?
