    How does stormlight work in the alleyverse? Is there a highstorm like on roshar, or something else? Also, similar question, how does the cognitive realm appear? If it is different than shadesmar, that will change how the surges of Transfusion and Transportation work.

    Gethen stooped over and picked up the piece of skin Brin had dropped. It was more leathery than Gethen had thought. "This isn't human skin." He said. Burning tin, he could see that it was not the skin of a koloss blooded. "Someone was either leading our dustbringer or following him."

    Gethen looked at where the trail stopped ahead. Burning tin, he could see that the tunnel continued for a bit before branching off. "All I see is more sewers. Are you seeing something else?"

    Gethen watched Brin and Mari jump down into the tunnel. He tapped his chromium mind and stepped into the hole, trusting his stored luck to help him not get hurt too badly. He hit the ground and fell over, landing in something slimy and wet. Standing up, he brushed himself off. This suit is going to be ruined. He stopped tapping his metalmind, and started filling it instead. Brin had started down the tunnel, so Gethen followed. He reached into the pocket of his suit and pulled out a handkerchief to wipe off some of the slime. It promptly fell into another puddle of unidentified liquid. Gethen decided not to pick it up.

    Gethen carefully stepped though the ash and rubble to where Brin had stopped. He tried to wipe the ash of of his suit, but only succeeded in getting it all over his hands. Looking at the sewer grate Brin had found, he noticed scorched footprints leading into it. The grate looked as though it had been forcefully ripped off, and the footprints continued inside. "Shall we go in?" Gethen asked
