  1. Umm, let me go and check. I wasn't around at the end of the cycle, but I'll look at it then get back to it. I'll also include suspsions and votes in that post, but I don't have very much time at the moment. Hmm. I was under the impression that you used Fae Lore, and if it targeted a skindancer it roleblocked them.
  2. Once I asked this, some people said it would probably be most beneficial for the students if we don't all say what fields we study in, which is why I went to saying we probably shouldn't. The noble skindancer(s) have the most money of all the skindancers, and can devote their coin to getting things like assassins. If we take them out sooner, it's better for us. The problem is that the student nobles are the most helpful for us, for the same reasons as above, so we don't want to just be expelling nobles left and right. Hopefully that makes more sense?
  3. Yes, I think that the circumstances mean everything. Also, Hoid pretty much wins almost everything(I think)
  4. Shard was about halfway from the university to his home when something whizzed over his head. Shard recognized it as a snowball, and quickly spun and ducked. While making a snowball, his eyes scanned the area that was now in front of him. Shard saw a head sticking up from behind a mound of snow, and he was pleased to see that it was Kendel. Shard shrugged his pack off of his shoulder, and threw the snowball. It flew true and hit Kendel square in the jaw. Shard started to laugh. He began to pile snow in front of himself to make a small wall, then ducked as more snowballs came overhead. After about twenty minutes of fighting, and getting soaked, a snowball hit Shard in the back. Shard spun around and saw that another person had joined the fight, and Shard was stuck in the middle. Shard rushed towards Kendel with a snowball in both hands and flung them both over his shoulder at the newcome, then jumped over Kendel's short fortification. Shard quickly thanked Kendel for the pen, then reached into his pocket. Then his other one. It wasn't there! Then Shard remembered he had put it in his pack, which was in the middle of the field. Shard decided to return the pen later, and his mind turned back to the fight. Together, they began to hit the newcomer. @Elkanah
  5. Maybe posts? The admins prefer if you don't do multiple posts in a row. I don't really remember when I first read Way of Kings Umm... I don't think I did, but yes I think it's very good from the very start.
  6. As Shard walked away from the man, the man caught up to him and apologized as well as introducing himself as Kendel. Apparently Kendel had some heart in his chest, however small it was, and offered Shard his pen. Shard was about to accept the offer and thank Kendel when he shouted, "DUCK!" Kendel threw himself to the ground and Shard quickly followed. A snowball sailed overhead, now harmlessly missing the two who were now in the snow. Once Shard regained his wits, he looked around and saw the person Kendel had claimed he was having a snowball fight with earlier. The person seemed to be laughing as they made another snowball. For the second time in a very short while, Shard got up out of the snow and stalked towards an asilant. Or, at least he wanted to. He didn't have the time for yet another encounter, so instead he turned towards Kendel and thanked him for the warning. He also accepted the pen with much more gratitude, and then he was off to take his exam. -- Shard came out of the university, feeling content. He had been able to start the test and get a passing score allowing him to do well in the class. Shard decided to look around the town to try and find Kendel to thank them for the pen and return it. Shard is in a much better mood now, so if you want you could have Kendel start a snowball fight. @Elkanah
  7. @Elkanah The man pointed to another and claimed he had been aiming for them instead of Shard. The man was all the way on the opposite side of the block! How could he have messed up his aim so badly? No. There was no way that it was accidental. And the man had called him Chad! If you don't know someones name, you should at least have the courtesy to ask! Shard took a deep breath, trying to calm down, then said, "First off, my name is not Chad. It's Shard. What about you? Second, I am already going to be late for my exam because I forgot a pen, so a few extra minutes won't affect me that much seeing as I'm now going to miss the entire exam!" Shard paused a moment, then accused, "And shouldn't you be studying for exams right now, someplace where you can't annoy those of us who are trying to actually do well in school?" Shard didn't even give the man time to answer his barrage of questions before he turned around and started off towards his home, hoping the proffessor might listen to reason this one time and let him take the exam late. You are welcome to offer him a pen, and its nice someone joined the RP, because I could use some extra tuition reduction.
  8. @Burnt Spaghetti, whats WGG? ~~ Shard was trudging through the snow towards the university. He had an important exam today, and needed to get to class on time. Shard started to pick up his pace, then looked into his bag to make sure he had all the supplies he needed. Starting to panic, Shard quickly turned around. He had forgotten his pen. If he didn't have it, it would be worse then being late. Shard was about to start running when something hit him in the middle of his face, causing him to fall to the ground. It was cold and wet, and when he fell into the snow he got his clothing cold and wet as well. Shard quickly got up and swiveled around, looking for the one who had thrown the snowball. There was someone standing about 20 feet away from him, and they seemed to be trying to look innocent. The person looked vaguely familiar, but Shard couldn't figure out where he had seen him before. Maybe at the university? He cast the thought aside, deciding that it didn't matter if he knew the man at all. Shard stalked up to the man, who still seemed to not notice Shard, and demanded, "Who are you, and why did you throw that snowball at me? Your going to make me late for a very important exam!"
  9. Something makes me think you like the word hi. My favorite, I don't know. I think that they are all very well done. I really like stormlight cause you know... it's stormlight. I guess way of kings?
  10. I'm feeling sort of stuck right now. I really want to help with analysis, but I feel dwarfed compared to a lot of more experienced players. I don't want to appear as if I'm not trying to post very much, but I don't really have much to say which hasn't already been said. I also don't want to be saying things that aren't at all helpful in order to look more active, so I'm not really sure what to do. I'm going to go ahead and place my votes on Walin and Straw. Walin has posted a total of one time per turn(I believe), which seems like something an elim would do. Just enough to try and cast aside suspicion, but little enough to not accidentally give something away that they might know. Straw is sort of tricky. They have gone from spreading votes, to saying votes should all be condensed, and back to spreading votes. They have been doing a lot of talking, but it could be because it would make them seem more like village. It could be to help and be genuine, but I don't know. As of Lopen, who is currently the person with the most votes(I believe), I don't really know what to do because I don't think I've every played a game with them, so I don't know what their play style is. Hmm. I thought that was you. I'll have to go back and check. Oh, and there's Hael, saying it wasn't you. I guess I'll take my vote off then. Straw.
  11. I'm sorry everyone for not being very active this cycle. I think I will finally have more time now, so I should be more active in the future. Fingers crossed. I'm not going to vote on anyone, because those who don't have votes are people whom slightly don't feel suspicious about, or who have already gone on the horns, so I'll hold off on voting even though it could give me some coin. ~~ Shard stood in front of a large group of students and gulped. He glanced down to the note card in his hand and looked up again. He had been given the card just before he came before the students, and had been told to read it. There hadn't been anytime to refuse. Shard to a breath, then read: "I feel inclined to apologize for a number of actions of which I am guilty. Releasing pigs in multiple professors quarters, playing music inside the library, and ..."Shard rolled his eyes, "talking to nobles. I hereby declare that I will never again allow animals into the university, make sound in libraries or talk to those of which have a higher class then myself." There were some nobles in the group, and they nodded their head in approval and walked away. There were also some commoners who seemed to be there just for the fun of it. "I will make sure to never again do anything in a manner like unto that which has been stated in the future, and If I do I will risk expulsion." Shard saw he was finished with what was on the card, so turned around and stalked towards the professor who had given it to him. "I will never do that again." "We shall see," the man said with a smile. Shard turned away in disgust walked away.
  12. I am thinking that it is better if we do not reveal what fields we are studying, because then the skindancers are able to just sabotage those who are going into certain fields. I also think that the skindancers are more likely going to try and win by killing(or expulsion, I forgot which it was) instead of trying to destroy all of the fields. There are nine different fields, and there are probably less then nine skindancers. Also, when someone becomes a master it is told what field they become a master in, so if that field is destroyed it is going to be kind of obvious that the master of that field is a skindancer. I am not sure who to place a complaint on. I guess I will put it on Lord, to spread the votes. I do think that we need to start figuring out a specific person or persons to put complaints on, because this is just more likely to hit a student. I do not have time right now, but next turn I will go and read through the first cycle to try and get some ideas of whom I think might be a skindancer. ~~ It had been more then a month since Shard had started to attend the university, and he was finally starting to get into a routine. He would wake up in the morning and eat breakfast, usually porridge. Then he would go to his classes, staying in the front away from the other students so he could better hear the professor. Then was lunch, and time to spend in town. Next came impressing the masters. He would go to the archives section of the university and try to find the Master of the Archives. Shard would listen to him teach then ask him all of his questions, and a few more he knew the answers to because the Master loved answering questions. Once he was finished with that he would go back to his home for the past months and eat dinner. Finally he would study for exams and then go to sleep, to wake up the next morning and start again. One such day, as he was leaving his last class of the day, Shard decided to do some extra studying instead of wandering around town. He found a tree outside of the university and sat against it, taking out a book on history. He became so engrossed in it that he didn't notice the person walk up to him. ~~ If anyone wants to approach him, feel free to.
  13. Shard shook Caia's hand, then sat down. He was grateful that she didn't appear to put up a barrier between them, so he answered, "I'm thinking about studying in the Archives. I'm just worried that a lot of other students will as well, like they have in the past." Shard paused for a moment, then continued to speak, "What about you, have you decided what you want to study?" Shard hadn't really met anyone at the University, and he hoped that he could get to know Caia better so he could have at least one friend in the hard times. Right after Shard had asked the questions, the professor started to speak. Shard tried to concentrate, he really did, but it was hard with the other students talking. By the end of the lecture, Shard was more positive that he wanted to study in the Archives. He really hoped that there would be peace and quiet when he got in, unlike the state of the class at the moment. He started to get up and get up to leave, but then realized that Caia hadn't had a chance to answer his questions. He sat back down and asked her again. @Lumgol
  14. It had been a couple of weeks since Shard had arrived at the university. He still hadn't quite figured out what he was field he was going to study in, but had met with some of the masters to learn a little more about them. At the moment, he was going to a lecture to learn more about the fields. Shard quietly opened the door and slipped inside, observing the students inside the hall. There were more students inside then he had expected, but it was a large enough room to fit a group twice the size. There were a group of students that were bunched together and talking. They obviously knew each other. As Shard's eyes moved across the room he noticed someone who was sitting alone, away from all the other students. She had a lot of books with them, and were watching the other students. She looked like she was richer then Shard, and he hoped that it wouldn't make a barrier between them. Shard hesitated, then walked down the row of seats. Once he got to the row she was in he asked her, motioning to the seat beside hers, "Do you mind if I sit here?" @Lumgol
  15. I didn't realize that Araris already had a vote on them. I don't really have a preference between Zillah or Stink, so *flips coin* Zillah.
  16. This is amazing! I don't have much time now, but I definitely have more to say.
  17. Well, I'm finally here. I don't really have much to say that hasn't been said yet, and I don't really have very much time to post right now. Just something to throw out there, because I'm not really sure: Is it better for the student to say what field of study they are going into, or would that help the skindancers more? I'm guessing that the skindancers are going to try to become masters of certain fields, and not spread their EP around, so we probably need to do that as well in order to stop them. I also think that there is probably at least one noble, commoner, and one Edema Ruh that are skindancers, probably more because of the number of players. I personaly think that it is best to try and figure out who the noble skindancer(s) is because the student nobles are going to be able to help us the most with their funds. I'll have more next cycle, and it seems like this game requires a lot more activity, but for now I'm going to put a vote on Araris for now, because they are noble, and haven't really talked that much. I realize that I have also not been very active, and am sorry for that, but I will try to post more in the future. ~~ Shard made his way towards the university, excited to start a new life. As he wound his way, he took in the sights and scents of the streets. Turning another corner, he stopped abruptly. In front of him stood the university, a giant of a building. Shard realized he was gaping, and began to walk again. It was so much... bigger then he had imagined. He had lived in a small house for most of his life with a large family, never having enough room or time. He wouldn't ever have to get up before dawn to start work on the farm. He would have all the time in the world to study, and more room then anyone ever needed. Shard walked through the doors of the university, and followed a group of students who were making their way down one of many passages. He quickly lost interest, and wandered through the hallways, trying to decide what to do. He chose turns at random and tried to figure out what happened in different rooms. Eventually, he made his way to his rooms and was again amazed at how much space he had to himself. He crashed down on the bed, and his mind drifted off to dreams of everything he would be able to do in his new life.
