"Do you want to go back?"

Pxe decideds he likes the Maroonks a lot more then their leader and follows them. Mike shrugs. "I don't know. What do you want to do?" The bartender sets a couple menus down on the table and walks away without a word.

Mike signaled to the bartender to come over and smiled at Erin. Pxe and his group of Maroonks appeared in a snowy field. About half a mile away stood a small town. "Where are we?" Pxe asks.

Mike and Erin walk through the doors of The Unfortunate Urchin, a small restaurant on the edge of the small town. The aromas that hit as they entered made Mike's stomach growl. "Finally, some food." A roar from the army of monks echoed through the chamber, and Pxe joined in because it seemed like it would be fun. It was. Soon his group of Maroonks - maroon cloaked monks was much too long - started down a tunnel. He wasn't sure where they were going, but from the small amount of research he had done it sounded like his group of Maroonks were the most likely to locate The Eddie. And that was vital for Pxe's quest. For he had to be the one to find The Eddie. And then he would kill her before she could be sacrificed.

*Time skip* Pxe put the pointed hood of his maroon cloak over his head, then walked through the door to join the other monks. He kept his eyes hidden in the shadow of his hood, like those around him. He slowly wove through this group of blue cloaked monks and made his way towards those that he belonged with near the front of the massive hoard of worshippers. Just as he got to the group of maroon cloaked monks, someone stepped onto the raised platform in front of everyone. Pxe realized it was the man who had tried to boss him around the day before. Pxe had known he was important, but hadn't realized just how high up he really was.

Pxe smiles as the man stalks off, probably to bother someone else. He continues to add more runes to a patch of wall.

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Hmm, let's figure out food first."

Mike sighs in relief as he sees the rooftops of the town peek out over the ridge.

Mike smiles as Erin grabs his hand and starts walking. "Yeah, I'm starving."

After a moment of awkward silence, Mike replies. "Fine. But the same applies for you, okay?"

Mike hesitates. "I...I don't know, Erin. If it would save your life, I'd have to."

"What do you mean?"

Mike sighs exasperatedly. "I can be 99.99% sure of it."

"Yes, I understand, Erin. But that wasn't putting myself in danger because I couldn't be hurt."

Mike was stunned at the sudden outburst of emotion. "The type of sacrifice needed for that takes hours, so I'd be fine. Also I never said you were weak. I just care about you and want you to be safe."

"I can't just leave you in the face of danger. I can survive a whole lot more than you can."

He turns back towards Erin. "Yes, he's probably up to no good. I just want to make sure you're safe."
