Look in the full game thread to see what happened. I could summarize but I’d probably miss details.- 216 replies

Quick Fix 43: Mysteries in the Snow
The_God_King replied to Elkanah's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I think with the information we have, it would be safer to lynch a corpse then to lynch someone who’s been active. The problem is Shane hasn’t given me a reason to vote for him outside of inactivity. So I feel bad just killing him. Ironfire’s return seals the deal unless shane comes back or someone can present someone as a better case.- 216 replies

Quick Fix 43: Mysteries in the Snow
The_God_King replied to Elkanah's topic in Sanderson Elimination
@Straw (quoting on a phone is a bit trickier than on a computer) i agree with you, inactive is a really bad thing for this game. It just allows the elims to be more powerful. Here are my thoughts. After writing several paragraphs and realizing they were a rambling mess I decided to cut back to basics. Killing an inactive player would probably be the smart move. Active players increase fun and give us more information on their death. Inactive players don’t help or detract from lynches because their votes aren’t used. I will vote Shane because I don’t have enough suspicions on active players- 216 replies

Quick Fix 43: Mysteries in the Snow
The_God_King replied to Elkanah's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Haha sounds good! DeTess has been very active The table grew quiet. Trust became thin and the meals became times of increasing awkwardness. Eheshao was making plans. These goods from Elantris wouldn’t sell themselves! He had built up numerous contacts and was ready to strike it rich. Dreams of mansions and caravans were all he could focus on. This was an inconvenience but the storm should end eventually... right?- 216 replies

Quick Fix 43: Mysteries in the Snow
The_God_King replied to Elkanah's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I’m not sure why you’re pointing me out. D1 I’m usually quiet because their isn’t much to talk about. I believe this is my typical play style but to be honest I’ve been purposely switching things up every game to see what I enjoy most. D2 I posted twice. That’s a little low but is active, but I had a bit of analysis. Interesting vote, but right now I’m appreciating multiple opinions rather than a unanimous bandwagon I agree with your assessment. Experience seems the most willing to lynch somone activity is low but not near as low as other games. We are talking and I imagine PMs are going- 216 replies

Quick Fix 43: Mysteries in the Snow
The_God_King replied to Elkanah's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So as before I have no new information on who to vote for. The only thing I have is that EXPERIENCE is not afraid to vote on people. I don’t know their play style so I can’t really judge elim or not. @EXPERIENCE who are you voting for now?- 216 replies

Quick Fix 43: Mysteries in the Snow
The_God_King replied to Elkanah's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I don't much information. Experience's vote seems a little convenient, but Day 1 mislynch bandwagons are not productive. I could see the Elims splitting their votes amongst people to force opinions but I can also see the contrary. As of now, I don't have a person to vote for. I have a couple of things going on for the next couple hours but I'll be back @DeTess Thanks for the poke! I've been watching way too much from the shadows. Eheshao stepped out of the shadows. He had been leaning up against the wall in the common room for a bit. Watching, learning, and figuring out what to do. People had been busy poking fingers and making accusations. We don't have enough information to be sure about anything and any evidence we have is circumstantial at best. I wish I could sell my stock to these people. Sadly it's in the stable and going outside would invite misfortune. Getting killed by a fanatic didn't make much sense either. Time to weed out these monsters!- 216 replies

Here is the write up that would be the public information available to the player. I would appreciate thoughts Contains spoilers for… everything! Takes place before the first Mistborn Trilogy The streets of Silverlight shone with ethereal light. Dust clung to the boots of the researchers as they walked to the university. Samples filled their packs and journals brimmed with accounts of floating cities and investiture being used by the most mundane creature. Their work had finally finished after nearly two years of being away from home. The projects of these researchers had gone phenomenally! The researchers had scattered across the Ashyn to collect anything that could help their research. Their samples would further the knowledge of the Shard by decades! With their work concluded the researchers returned to their homes to recover from their journeys. Now the interns needed to sort through the data. Little did the researchers know that they were being watched. While the Shard had studied Ashyn, Ashyn had studied the Shard. Slowly and surely they had implanted people into Silverlight and a few had made it into the university. While the researchers were highly vetted, the interns were only given a cursory check. Strange things happened with the study: samples went missing, fires destroyed important files, and an intern suspiciously died. The study needed to continue, but the interns were wary of the others. The various worlds they had come from would make it hard for the other interns to pin who was lying. Find the Ashyn infiltrators, continue the study, and find the secrets of investiture

I Figured I Should Actually Introduce Myself
The_God_King replied to The_God_King's topic in Introduce Yourself!
Yea I did! I enjoyed it quite a bit and can't wait for the next one to come out (but I think I may be more excited about Rhythms of War). It was a pretty good read. I wonder if Sanderson will write sci-fi in the same vein as Stormlight (serious and dark without as much humor). Mistborn era 4 might be my only hope for that -
I had a friend convince me to join Sanderson Elimination (everyone should give it a shot!) about a month ago but I hadn't looked around the shard until now! I've been a Sanderson fan for about 8 years now. My first exposure to him was when I was reading the Wheel of Time series. While the series itself was really good (and my first real foray into epic fantasy) when Brandon Sanderson took over the last several books the series went to a whole other level. After that, the rest is history. I have read the vast majority of the Cosmere and his non-Cosmere works. I haven't gotten into Alcatraz. I heard it's a solid series but I had moved on mostly from YA by the point I learned about it. I also haven't read Whitesands. I imagine I could find a whole thread about peoples feelings on it (I've heard mixed reviews myself). I'm excited to be here and, hopefully, you will hear more about me!

I knew I saw it somewhere! Thanks for pointing it out, I have a list consolidated to keep track but I forgot where the legal subset came from. Interesting. That confirms my theory that vote manipulation would be an action role.
-
Hm... Interesting thought process! I'll let you know that I have established knowledge of the Legal subset through a couple of means. Knowledge of the Coms team came from the fact that I am in a group PM that was created by unknown parties (Probably the Coms team). I figure that the Elims probably have at least one member in it so they already know. We also forget to take into account vote manipulation. That might be a subset or an action role (bronze or zinc). Kill could also be either of them (The Set's knowledge of Hemalurgy wouldn't preclude the existence of an action role).
-
Kidnapping Subset is an interesting subset claim. I know of several other subsets that have various actions. I imagine there are subsets for Roleblock (Kidnapping Sparkles and Sunshine Happy Time), protection (Legal), Seer (yet to be named), and a subset involved with communication (Communication). There could be another subset hiding out there but I haven't the foggiest (unless I utterly missed something in thread). I have come across some information to make me trust Elkanah but I still don't have enough information to make a proper accusation. Let's see what happens! edit: the reason I assume a seer subset is because this would be a way different game without one
-
I don’t know if I want to know who did or didn’t submit an action. If the elims know this information they could target the players who are protecting us. It’s not a bad idea but it gives the elims more pertinent information than the village would receive.
-
A couple reasons -the vote was alongside venture -the vote was also against the person who started the voting on an elim while not damning, the evidence isn’t something to entirely ignore. I am trying to provoke conversation and preparing for the next cycle and have an educated opinion
-
sorry about being awol, I’ve been at a funeral and voting was definitely about as far from my thoughts as anything. Here are my thoughts since I’ve been gone: Raths last second vote is very suspicious. I understand missing the vote (because I totally did) but throwing a last second deciding vote is a very interesting move. Elkanah and Elandera’s votes were also suspicious and I would like their thoughts @Elkanah@Elandera. Elkanah is usually more chatty (and a bit crazy) and I am definitely worried that is a sign of an Elim. I would like to also point out that voting with an Elim doesn’t immediately prove guilt. I will try to be more active!
-
Well since he has started! I better let him off the hook Elkanah @Elkanah (not sure why it didn’t work the first time)
-
I'm going to poke Elkanah @Elkanah so he can get his shenanigans started

Mid-Range Game 40: A Defiant Rebellion
The_God_King replied to Elandera's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Sorry I've been gone. I've been at work for the last 6 hours. Things escalated very quickly... When I voted for Kidpen I was hoping to encourage discourse about who we trusted and didn't. My mild suspicions ended up being shared between a majority of the people playing. I stick to my vote because the only people I distrust are Elkanah and Kidpen. I haven't heard a defense from either that I am totally satisfied with yet. Sure the move is a calculated risk. My role is built to die and if I can take one elim with me then so be it! I guess my defiant side is leaking out! The biggest thing is that there was zero discussion last night and I wanted to stir the pot. Either by proving my innocence or dying as a martyr. That seemed to have failed at its purpose but I'm happy someone brought it up. This Kidpen bandwagon feels even more off than Coda's. There are a lot more people jumping in and wanting those chits from getting the kill. It may seem ironic that the person who initiated the voting is questioning the votes motive but I still stand behind my vote. Cobb looked to the sky. His training group was flying towards the battle that was raging miles away from Alta. He went to walk to the command building when one of HIS cadets came running towards his. Cobb, instantly enraged, yelled, "What are you doing here!!" The poor cadet stopped dead in his tracks, "message for you, sir" "What are you doing running messages Cadet!" Cobb growled, "your flight needs you now. If you aren't up there then you are putting the lives of everyone in your flight in peril" "A pilot handed this to me", the cadet was shaking as he handed the letter to Cobb. Cobb gave the letter a once over, "If I ever find you running letters again I will personally escort you back to the caverns" The cadet ran back to the base. Cobb looked at the letter again. "Blasted [REDACTED FOR DDF SECURITY REASONS] and his cryptic codes!", the paper was in pieces faster than a Krell Intercepter. "If I ever find that scudding no good son of a..." Cobbs cursing continued for a solid 10 minutes. It would probably be better if [REDACTED FOR DDF SECURITY REASONS] was shot down by a Krell rather than face Cobbs wrath. edit: The formating on the quotes is weird. Don't know why- 229 replies
