This is a mess and a half. For being so close to the end I have no idea who anyone is, which is unfortunate. Kidpen
-
Karnage I know we're coming up on a hard barrier pretty soon but I've come to have a small amount of trust towards Drake.

I have no idea what to make of this or last cycle, but due to the fact that Elkanah may be pulling a clever play with his vote last cycle I think I'll throw a vote on him Elkanah I'm intrigued at the tied vote and the implications that it means for the game. The terrible thing is with 4 elims if they're all active they have continual control of every lynch without being obvious about it. We need more activity and voting to keep the elim's from running off with this game.
-
Yep I’ll happily admit my gut feeling against Brightness has somewhat subsided. At least to the point where I won’t be pushing against her anytime soon. edit: sorry had to go to my laptop to do a proper type up I agree with you though on CadCom. I have a slight elim read on them. I don't see a Fura lynch going very far. Without many votes, I'll go CadCom to secure a lynch of some sort (or a tied vote which would also yield good information)

It's been a quiet cycle... we need some conversation to keep this game going! fyi I won't be active at the end of cycles like I used to be. I just started a new job so I'm getting ahead on people thinking it is AI. @BrightnessRadiant Here's my thoughts on mists lynch. The reason why there was no defense was that there wasn't an immediate alternate. Mist wasn't lynched because she was acting suspiciously enough to be an elim it's that she was viewed as the best target. While I don't think lynches like this are amazing the information gathered was important. Wow, I'm actually starting to support lynches, what's happened since my first game?

I don't think the train got out of hand. There was a bit of pilling on at the end but the train seemed to have been building for the last two cycles. 5 votes in a game this size probably isn't too crazy. For now, my suspicions rest with Fura @Furamirionind. Analysis to come later
-
I’m interested, why do you think Mist and I are teammates? Self defense is a pretty weak reason to vote on someone, I agree, but, in the interest that there was only a 1 vote difference between us I believe I was a bit justified. I Never read him as evil To long; didn’t read. It’s basically a summary of a long post Edit: I dislike ending a cycle with a post like this, but nothing I can do now!

@Elberethits the continuing demeaning feeling of you were wrong but it’s all right that gets me. The whole youre sounding a lot like an elim but you must be too silly to know that so here’s a pat on the head. If you think I’m evil, lynch me and gather the information. I try to be proactive and it gets shoved in my face. I take initiative and PM, and I get what felt like a very public dressing down when the PM was so positive until you showed up. I don’t go whimpering back to my hole because I want to be engaged in this game. meta can jump off a cliff. Meta’s meant to be broken and I don’t care to learn years worth of traditions when I want to play as myself. Some is fine but how is anyone who didn’t experience it getting made supposed to catch up? i stand behind my vote for now. I haven’t been presented a better option
-
Well, it looks like my opinion is wrong, again. I never swung 100% behind the elims flooding the dead doc. I suggested it as an option and apparently everyone thinks I'm wrong. woohoo another glorious day on SE. PMing is apparently guilty and voting with a gut feeling when the only other option presented is myself is heresy.

Adamantly disagree with you. Every time I've done this in previous games I die due to some miscommunications or being deemed "defensive". So, I decided to make my case in a controlled environment. I can understand the importance of good analysis but I'm playing a bit of recovery right now and can't afford to be hyper-analyzed. I think the purpose of that chat is complete. I wasn't able to convince everyone but maybe bought myself some time so I can make my case in thread. Right now gut feeling is BrightnessRadiant @BrightnessRadiant something feels off with how they were involved in both lynches. Specifically, the C2 where she jumped on and really did turn the tide after I had voted. ... are you trying to pick a fight? You keep throwing jabs in that I don't feel are justified. I used the PM to try and establish where I was falling short. I think I established some good answers but most were already in the thread (mainly I've outlined every single one of my thought processes, I'm pretty open book this game about that). If group PMs weren't allowed I would have PMed all of you individually. so I took advantage.

I can’t seem to find it myself. What was the vote order against arraenae C1?
-
Hm, not much I can defend there. My tone is always a little off. A little accusatory and very defensive even when I don’t mean to be. I was cringing as I reread a couple older games. That’s not a defense but it does force my hand. To avoid getting picked off by a last second vote I’m going to have to break this tie. I want to vote for mist, but she’s still a bit new so I’d like to see them get to C3. This is terrible because this is exactly how I survived for a portion of my first game as an elim. By process of elimination, Striker .this isn’t meant to retaliatory I just don’t like being on the block with just under 2 hours to go and you happened to be on the block with me. I’m willing to change it, if I’m not in immediate danger. This is openly a self preservation vote (from what I’ve gathered is a elim thing but I’ve realized doing anything or nothing can be an elim thing)
-
@Elbereth in a regular QF I would full heartedly agree with you. The whole shades and how many of us there are makes me question it. The biggest thing is that I pointed out several options. Two being that they planned to occupy the dead doc, and the other two that they didn’t. The one I’m worried about is more if one of the elims decided to break the tie to gain trust. Oh well I’m a bit paranoid! Either way I don’t think anyone is quite clear yet. Maybe less likely to be an elim but I’m not a big fan of clearing anyone off a C1 lynch especially where being dead isn’t the end of the game. I need to look through more to confirm. I’ll probably do that next cycle. Hope that clears up a little bit of my thought process. I don’t throw a vote out because I haven’t gathered enough info to make a good suggestion. Im a bit suspicious of the vote because I thought of all the stuff that had been said, my comments had been rather neutral. But if it stirs the pot, so be it

@Elkanahyou’ve been pretty quiet. I figure it’s Mother’s Day so it’s understandable but I’d love your take
-
I can see your side. If this were a smaller game it would be insane. Every elim counts. In a game this large, it might be different. I actually think C1 was a perfect place for the elim's to kill themselves. Also, we have to remember that it may have been a matter of convenience (options 2 and 4), but this goes into multiple scenarios and doesn't provide us much insight. By C2/3 any elims would be outnumbered by a large margin. They effectively defeat the roleblock this round and if two villagers die at the end of the cycle they may be able to kick up enough dust to keep them from being effective. It's a bold plan but I could see several players pulling it off.

I meant to remove my vote last night but Sart hadn't removed their vote yet. I woke up late and saw that he had removed his vote. I decided to follow through with my word because I'd take flak either way, and I figured removing a vote last minute when someone only has one vote wouldn't change anything.
-
If I were an elim, throwing a vote on another elim isn't a bad idea in this game. It balances the dead doc so that the role block won't be as effective. I think the elim's made a move to control the role block action. With this in mind, and potentially 4 other elims, killing an elim d1 makes sense. The problem is that we have a bunch of scenarios 1- the lynch was a happy accident. Villagers killed an elim by chance 2- at least one elim jumped in to secure a place amongst the village 3- the elim's planned to occupy the dead doc to control the role block 4- the elim's secured the vote to occupy the dead doc but there were villagers amongst the vote I'm thinking options 2 or 4 are the most likely
-
Wow that was quite the great lynch! While I dislike D1 lynches I like when they work out! Xino’s death throws some obvious shade on me but it seems like a foolish kill coming if I was an elim. Xino was also trying to rally efforts in the dead doc so the elims probably thought he was an immediate threat. Shades... they had shades trailing them... Mavet hated shades. There was no easy way to scare them off but they wouldn’t be too much of a trouble if we kept quiet. The execution of Smythe was sudden and short. Mavet didn’t dare speak up for fear that any suspicion would pass to him. Conveniently, when searched, evidence of mutiny was found on her. The death of Hades was sudden. We found them on the edge of camp. Their letter was still in his pocket. He hadn’t had time to respond to it yet. Reconciliation would have to come when they were both shades. Hopefully that wouldn’t be anytime soon.

Sart for removing the poke

"Well I didn't vote for you!" (stolen from Monty Python)

@Lord_Silberfarben ”the silver lining” He pushed past Cain to reach Silber, “is that our fearless leader hasn’t realized we’re lost yet!” this accursed forest wouldn’t even let him voice anything above a whisper so it would be a long night. They had probably been wandering in circles @Elkanah @Karnage ”so, what are your plans for the traitors?” Mavet turned to Shroud, “We can’t kill them out here. I wouldn’t dare spill blood anywhere near here and the noise alone would kill us all!”
-
Mostly to try and make sense of the dead doc. The problem is people can pretend to be each other or pretend to be multiple people so a code works to ID someone. The problem is that this ties into codes, which I refuse to use now, so I won’t participate. I imagine the codes will be in PM but if a single elim gets ahold of your code all the elims know which give them more power. That’s a real problem I just found in my ramblings edit: @xinoehp512 what are your thoughts on this?

I’ve read too many games with joe dying way too early. The vote is circumstantial at best but the reasoning is a poke and that joe was bad in a previous game. Not my favorite reasons to cast a vote edit: also I’m not that new. I hate having everyone excuse my reasoning because of that. I’ve been playing for three months now and know the basics of the game. This vote was well thought out and I understood the reasoning. Sorry to be a bit defensive but having my opinion discounted is not my favorite thing to read
-
While I have no reason to assume Joe is good I think he deserves to live through a portion of this game Sart Agreed. I won’t drop my guard yet and won’t bow to any power other than the will of the passions my own fists. He hasn’t done anything crazy other than outline his thoughts on the items. His breaking tie may just be that he favors lynching. Something I differ from most players but accept that neither side is inherently wrong.

It's an interesting balancing mechanism. The dead doc will be a very interesting place when it starts to get full.
