Long Game 64: Choose Your Own Sanderson Adventure!
The_God_King replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
he had finally been caught. Oh well, the guards had taken away his lucky pens but they didn't seem to know what to do with him. In their brief confusion, he bolted. He made for the exit to find them locked. Luckily he knew this place pretty well and found a secluded corner."No G-men are going to get me!" he thought and he found a comfortable spot behind one of those uncomfortable-looking couches to camp out until the guards gave up. It wouldn't take long with all these tourists everywhere. Time to find a disguise... I had been working on my next code when I realized that decoding a regular message gave a totally different result then coding a regular message. If I ever get into spycraft I may have to use that.- 421 replies

I figured I’d throw this in since it’s been a problem from the start of me playing. Should code making be banned for players In the basic rules? I feel GMs can be discretionary and allow it for some games. (Maybe instead of PMs have people giving codes and keys but that’s an idea I won’t be fleshing out any time soon). I know there are limitations already in place but it seems to have caused some disgruntled conversations that are outside of the game in a couple of recent games.

For yours I’d seen that type of code work so it was trial and error. For Coda’s I got really lucky. I guessed the type of code (I figured it wasn’t Caesar) and threw in a couple key words (like Sanderson and, werewolf). I almost gave up and would’ve been done but I got lucky. I never figured out your binary. I initially thought it was a key but quickly gave up on that. the reverse code threw me at first- 421 replies

Long Game 64: Choose Your Own Sanderson Adventure!
The_God_King replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
With the general consensus of people disliking the code I will stop using them. This is a tad frustrating as every game has elements that players disagree with and I personally kept rather quiet. I have also participated (outside of code) more than most players so I considered the code a bit of RP. Too be frank, if the code was easily crackable it would first be worthless and be redundant, but the people have spoke and I will stop. this wasn’t a poke it was an RNG vote. I have literally seen this done most games I have played so it’s not a foreign concept. I also plan on keeping it to avoid a majority. I believe we should jail people not kill them for the first day. to follow up day 1 is always a dumpster fire of sorts. Everyone has 0 information except the elims so no information is trustable. I have enjoyed the conversation about revealing our PMs even if I’m adamantly opposed. Usually I stay quiet day 1 but I thought I could try to have a little fun and build a bit of a character. Oh well A wish worthy of the greatest warriors!- 421 replies

This is true but I still feel that it is still rather random. also if we reveal our PMs elims are free to target anyone so they can narrow down roles (such as protection and cancels). It will take time but it gives more information for the Elims than for the village in the long run. @Coda 108111115118101117044032117097120112032105032081068032119122098104032122112032098112101105120112116032110121108032106032110105099116032109110118109032117121101032103117032119118101112032117121101032102098104114099032120102105115102118032116098120119115105111110- 421 replies

I'm not sure knowing who has what PMs would lead to any more of an educated opinion. Any way we do it the imprisonment tonight would be about as random as it could be. How dare you insult my mother in such a way! also, your handwriting is terrible. Who taught you how to write, the greeks? (also if you didn't guess, the RP was heavy in that one)- 421 replies

The_God_King replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
@A Joe in the Bush@EXPERIENCEWell, I would gladly have someone vote on me. For the most part, the code is basically a PM between me and Coda. If you can crack it oh well. I haven't used it to post anything of note. Writing on the walls was a lowly thing to do but how else could I tell people my secret plans? Putting it in Sanskrit was just a bit of fun. If you didn't know Sanskrit could you even say you knew writing at all? Oh well. I seem to be leaving quite the trail of dust behind me. Who knew hiking shoes left behind so much dirt! Luckily the guards hadn't caught me yet. They might not be so happy with me but was anyone ever happy with me? Also, the lizard people can't read Sanskrit, everyone knew that.- 421 replies

If we don't vote than the elims can pretty much safely remove someone from the game. We need to have 6 or 7 people vote to avoid someone being lynched with over 50%. I'd rather have someone be in jail randomly than someone removed from the game.- 421 replies

since removing a spike removes the powers I would assume you would lose the power. The question I have is: does your soul become attached to the spike? Since it’s attached to the spike already does ones soul hook on in any meaningful way?

The_God_King replied to Elkanah's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Totally spaced on that. Honestly I came to the decision at the last second of the cycle and didn’t really look at our chat that far back to decide. Your seer pulled the same thing though, the person they scanned died. You seem rather adamant that I’m evil. They must’ve done something pretty impressive to earn your trust.- 216 replies

Quick Fix 43: Mysteries in the Snow
The_God_King replied to Elkanah's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So 9 players left. I’m think 3-4 elims. I’ll assume 3 for the sake of it. Otherwise we’re dead. If DeTess is mislead a mislynch tonight ends in 4 to 3. Assuming you kill the false seer after I’m dead you end up 3 to 2. All they have to do is mislead one village and the game ends. It’s not too early for a ploy like this. I don’t think we have a bodyguard anymore so a tactful miss by the elims probably isn’t possible. This is quite the move and DeTess’s seer must have earned some serious credibility to be trusted. Eheshao was aghast, the accusation were insane. Soothsayers and ancient occult writings were only so good (Eheshao’s dice hadn’t been wrong so far and that was much more realistic then tracking the rhythm of someone’s steps). The cold seemed to call as more people gathered. Merciful Domi these people had blood in their eyes! In the back a shadowy figure seemed to be sitting back. Whispering things to Lesa. Before Eheshao could pick them out by process of elimination the figure was gone and all was accounted for. What madness was this!- 216 replies
