Minuet nodded again and jogged off to find Val. Calling her name, Minuet entered the tower.

Isati debated for a moment over how much to reveal to these people. Her usual practices were over, she'd known that much when she was transformed, but Phoenix would still be more comfortable for her in this state. "Arizona," she said.

"Perhaps I should get Val, though? I think she wanted to see us off."

"Yeah, whatever." Cadenza skated off the pillar and landed easily.

Zola let out a big breath. "Is that it, are we done now?"

"Oh. That's right... I never thought of that."

"Oh, that's awesome! You'll be able to tell if there are any more of us!"

"But they don't get all that dirty," Zola mumbled.

"Pewter? Me?" Faith concentrated for a moment, but couldn't seem to do anything to the pewter. So she traded and peered into the vial. "I can't believe I'm a Thug."

Cadenza immediately shot up on a pillar of ice. She'd been expecting something like that. She frowned down at the old lady. "Not your power. That means you don't know how it works, so lay off."

"No, I shouldn't have corrected you." Faith smiled. "Right! I hope it's something good. What did you guys get?" "A connection? Seems iffy to me, but okay." Faith touched her hand to the plate and ran it over it. When she touched a dull silver metal, her eyes widened. She kept going, but came back to that metal soon enough. "It's this one. I think."

"Um... Sorry to correct you, but you should either have made your sentence go up at the end, indicating a question, or said 'I have no idea how this can happen.'"
