    Melody looked at the workers, then stepped forward cautiously. "Hello?"

    Deep within herself, Cadenza found a reserve of strength. Small, but mighty. She gathers it for one last strike at the Yevon, hoping against hope that it will work. She rises to her feet and screams, "I am worth something!" but she doesn't mean it, not really. How could she be worth something? She raises both swords and lets them fall on the Yevon who was bracing herself on the wall, then collapses and curls into the fetal position, strength gone. She is worthless. She couldn't even save that man. Tears streak her cheeks and she lets them fall. She has no more strength left, and even if she did she couldn't do anything.

    She's elsewhere right now. She says no.

    Cadenza feels a rush of emotions, one over them all: worthlessness. Tears come to her eyes and she collapses to her knees, still sliding toward the Yevon. She knows she should do something, but what can she do? Absolutely nothing. Her cheeks are streaked, and she can't imagine doing anything other than sitting here until she withered away.

    Cadenza skates toward the Yevon trying to stand up using the wall, a smile on her face. Anyone watching could tell that she was laughing inside, but wouldn't let it disrupt her concentration. She thrusts with one sword while swiping with the other, and makes the ice grow up the walls faster.

    Hiiri's mouth fell open. "Well, no wonder I was sent to help you!"

    Hey, are you all right? Where are you? Song thought to Melody. Wow, was all the response she got back, and she sent again. Melody? Where are you? Melody replied, I don't know where we are, but it's beautiful. We're in a field, and there's an enormous, gorgeous city ahead of us.

    Cadenza shifts to the side, dodging the strike, then executes a perfect spin, her blades out.

    Cadenza shot shards of ice at the second Yevon, not aiming them at any particular spot.

    This was not the same moon that had just hit the sun, that moon was melted. This was an entirely different moon.

    Melody stepped, wide-eyed, into the field. "Wow," she breathed.

    Hiiri sighed. What have I gotten myself into? she asked herself. She forced a smile onto her face. "Sounds fun. Do you have any plans after that, or is that what I'm supposed to help you with?" "We're going to my home planet to help a rebellion," says Herate warily. "And I don't trust you." "That's perfectly all right just as long as you let me help you. I think I'm supposed to help you with the rebellion as well, but we'll see when we get there."
