Andante closed her eyes tightly and visualised it. "Defend," she said quietly. A fizzle of blue sparks popped in front of her, and she cracked an eye open. "Did it work?"

"I got the impression that they took a while to choose teams and then they just barely started."

"Okay, then it'll work." Because Melody's... um, she'd be 16 by now. Her(and Song, Rhapsody, Symphony, Capella, and Medley's) birthday is on my half-birthday.

"Yeah, it's still going on."

"Can you act like you could be my grandfather?" Wait, how old is Ellis?

"It's great. They were having a game of Capture the Flag. I wanted to join, but we didn't think we had enough time," Andante sighed.

"Okay, thanks." Andante made a mental note to put those three runes - fire, light, and shield - in her journal.

"Yes, plenty. What do we want to look like?"

"We went to have a sleepover at the Mishmash Inn!" said Aria brightly.

"Yeah, I think so. Is it all right if I put them in a journal or something?"

"All I'm saying is that it might be better to preempt the disguises so we don't have to use them later."

"Okay." Andante repeats the rune, this time adding the line that she forgot.

Herate, Aria, Allegra, I, Noche, Hiiri, and a new girl(Andante) step through the portal. "It's good to be back, as fun as that place was," remarks Herate.

"That's probably true, but I wasn't talking about that kind of disguise. You know, just in case we get in trouble then have to come back here later."

"Um... maybe? Let's see..." Andante turns away from the rune she drew and draws another opposite of it. "I think I forgot a couple of lines."

No, it's Ookla Season! Starting November... 26? I think so, and going until December 19(Brandon's birthday), everyone who can/wants to changes their name to something with Ookla in it. Andante grabbed some dust and wrote the same rune in the air. Her lines weren't as neat as Chrysler's, but it was a passable imitation.

Herate closed her eyes and tried to find... something. She didn't know what, but she knew she'd know it when she 'saw' it. She searched farther, pushing aside things it certainly wasn't. And then she found it. Destruction, complete demolition. There wasn't even enough left for fire to ravage. She shivered, pulling her consciousness away from it. "What - what was that?" "Do you want me to do it too?"

"Huh, I don't know. And Ellis, that sounds good!"

"Will do. So you'll do it and then I'll do it." She gasped, the withergeist entering easily. A bolt of intense pain shot through her and she clutched her torso. Her vision blacked and she was aware of nothing but the pain, all-consuming agony. When her vision cleared and she could control herself, she blinked and laughed slightly at the rush of pure adrenaline running through her. She found it hard to be mad at Psyder, she'd done something akin to what he'd done once. It hadn't been an easy decision, but it was a smart one. "That... was unexpected," Herate said. "It doesn't feel like it did anything, though." Daolan stood, furious and worried as Herate seemed to experience great pain. It was over in a split second, he assured himself.
