Cadenza peeked her head out, wearing a sleek green dress. "Ooh, looks nice."

Cadenza picked out a couple of outfits and went to find a changing room as well.

"There are changing rooms in the back."

"These ones." Cadenza pulled out a pair of black pants and handed them to Janice. "Try black to start. White might also work, but it's harder when you adventure a lot."

"It's not that complex. With a tank top like the one you have, I'd go with slacks."

"No, of course not! There's leggings, jeans, slacks, skinny jeans... there are lots of types of pants."

"Yeah, try that! And then some pants..."

"Maybe a little lighter? I think pastels will look good on you."

"Well, I think some colours that would look nice on you are light pink and light blue. You could try out some purple."

"That's the point." "I agree, let's go!"

Andante reappeared just outside the wall, dust coming from her book as the picture faded away. She snapped another one quickly. -
Cadenza crossed her arms as the room grew steamy once again.

"Like the dead. You?"

"No thank you! Then you wouldn't be with me."

"I mean, I'd prefer to do it every day, but you really only have to do it once a week or so. Your hair gets pretty gross - comparatively - after that long."

"Yep. So rinse the soap out, then put some of the shampoo in your hand, rub it in your hair until there are nice suds all through it, rinse it out, then do the same with the conditioner. Except the conditioner won't make bubbles."

"Sweet! Okay, need one of us to talk you through it? Or do you think you've got it?"

Shoot - my almost-lie's been exposed. Good game!

"Nope, it was your idea. You're coming."

"Nah, you just aren't experienced. Come on, let's go rinse out your hair properly. Maddy, you can have my cubicle."

She sighed. "Oh, Janice..." The poor girl's hair was still full of bubbles and soaked, and her sweater was on backwards.

Cadenza turned toward where she'd heard Janice.

Cadenza sighed. "Come over here and let me see you."
