  1. "That's my plan in a nutshell." Fadran smiles. "Thanks." "Your life is your own." Fadran says. "Nothing you can really do about it. You guide it along its path, but the path itself is set." "Then I say we face it."
  2. "So you think that I might be able to do something like that?" Fadran smiles and hugs her back. "Should we be running, at this point?" Fadran asks. "It's not exactly like danger to pass us by."
  3. @Danex you wouldn't believe how much I miss you peer-editing these things.
  4. Fadran hands her the knives. "Me? Oh, I'm quite complicated. I wasn't much of a real person for awhile: spent my life flitting from one leaf on the wind to the next. I started finding out who I was when I started studying some ancient magical arts: Spiritcalling, in particular." He realized that she probably had no idea what that was. "Oh, uh... Spiritcalling is a thing I do where I look into your Spirit and... well, tell you about yourself. I've done it to a few people here--it's something I try to avoid unless someone asks me to do it for them, though I do like collecting their names." He pulled out one of the names written on a piece of paper from his pocket: his most recent. "My life got really confusing after that; there was this deity guy I Bonded with, a couple wars I fought in, explored the Macrosmos. Sufficeth to say I could be here all day just trying to get through all that. "You're asking who I am now, though." Fadran says. "I'm... not actually sure. Recent events have shaken me, taken the sculpture I thought was finished and changed it. I've been subconciously trying to find out who I am right now, but it's complicated enough that it'll probably take me awhile."
  5. "Hey!" Tina yells, grabbing a nearby water bottle and splashing the contents onto the flame.
  6. "Your past, like many others, is troubled." Fadran begins. "What has happened to you in the past has shaped you to be the way you are now. Particularly, you're hesitant around things you don't fully understand; including us. You... also try to hide. Not from others, but from yourself. There are things you fear you can't escape."
  7. The boards slide out, revealing a secret passage.
  8. "It's not supposed to be a leading question." Fadran reassures her. "Names, identities, Spirits... they're what I specialize in. I try my best to learn about others--or help others learn about themselves."
  9. "So... The Fox is who you identify as, then?" Fadran asks, turning around. "You've never felt as if you were missing something like a name?"
  10. "That's... complicated." Fadran decides. "Which also means that it's awesome." "Gun?" Fadran asks, then turns around as she motioned. His mind had turned to something else she said, though. "You say you... don't know if you have a name?"
  11. "Magic." He said simply, shrugging. He let the soft tone of sincerity join his voice. "I'm... sorry you got caught up in our little band. We're just being chased by something right now, and we don't know what it is, but leaving you behind to face it alone probably wouldn't have been the nicest thing to do. I guess making you join us to possibly inevitably face it probably also wasn't the nicest thing to do, but it was the lesser evil." He puts on a friendly smile. "So, you're name's Fox?"
  12. "This... mindscape thing." Fadran says. "How does it work? You use the power of your mind to create a world of your own?" The newcomer looked uncomfortable in the shirt he had lent her. This slightly annoyed Fadran (he didn't have to carry a woman's t-shirt on him at all times!) but that wasn't important. He looked at her cut-up hoodie, then frowned. He focused, Forging a Spirit Bond to the hoodie, then sped up the natural process of, as he called it, "Particle Fashion Trending." After about half a minute, the hoodie had Mended itself completely. He handed it back to Fox. "Fixed your hoodie."
  13. "I didn't see anything." Fadran replies. "It's just... a feeling. A bad one. The kind that you don't feel like the others, it's the kind that touches your Spirit."
  14. "Right. You're... right." Fadran pulls himself back to his feet and keeps going, mind still distant.
  15. Fadran collapsed against a tree. "Something just happened." He said, eyes distant. "I don't know what, but something just did."
  16. What are your guys' favorite sketches? Here's a list of mine: Founding Father's Fraternity Prop Switch Clue Murder Mystery Scandal Most Deadly Pirates Death Bed Repentance Practical Philosophy
  17. Good for you! I'll read whatever it is you write. Also, a PSA for everyone regarding my book: Edit: I'll go back and fix that eventually.
  18. This morning I was the Torturer of Heralds. I think that speaks for itsel.
  19. Mmm.... Milky Ways.... not as good as Twix, but a close second. You want me to ask whether I wrote a sentence or not more often? Did I just write that sentence?
  20. I'm pretty sure most of the kids in my school know my name, but not for any good reason (I.E. I'm annoying as crem). Being ignored and left out is something I've been weirdly okay with as I was growing up; possibly because I wasn't ever included in anything at all and I didn't know what it was like--but that makes it sound like I had a super depressing childhood with no friends, which is completely incorrect. I had friends and people to talk to, but because most of my talents are mental and not physical, I didn't do any of the things that the other kids did (sports, mostly. Never been a sports guy). It also isn't like people to try to involve others unless they notice that you're being left out. I'm not saying guilt-trip people to be included, but giving them a little slack for being oblivious to how you feel might be a good idea.
