  1. If I were the current President of the USA, right now I would be suggesting that we stop the voting process here and now and pretend like I actually had a good reason for it. So I guess I'll just ask nicely.
  2. I was Wit and now I'm a standard-issue poop-to-grain person? In other words...

  4. I was going to say I feel bad for @Danex for only having one vote, but then I realized that a lot of others didn't have any votes at all, and I feel worse for those people. Danex is close second, though.
  5. Fadran takes the note, nodding. "You needn't lower your mental barriers. By willingly giving me your Spirit, you have also willingly let me in. Perhaps you should leave them up; one never knows what creatures they'll encounter in Shadesmar." He fingers the paper, then Forges a Spirit Bond to it. Instantly, Fadran found himself being overwhelmed by the sheer power and knowledge of Nathrangking. He had expected a flood of such--after all, there had been one when he had first Bonded to Icona--but expectation could not so easily prepare a mind for such vastness. "There is... a lot here." Fadran begins. "So much that it would take any regular person a million lifetimes just to see it all. There are parts of your essence and being so ancient that you have forgotten them. Friendships, enemies, love, hate, happiness... loss. Some of these happened so many eons ago that if I told you them now, you wouldn't remember them, and only dismiss them as fantasy. "However, amongst all this... you have still become like a person. A wise person, yes, and powerful--but a person nonetheless. Just like everyone else, your experiences shaped you, molded you, and broke you. In the vast ocean of experience that is you, there have been so many things that have changed the way you are that one cannot tell who you will be in the next hundred years, millenia, eon, or eternity. Right now, though..." Fadran chooses one place of many in Nathrangking's Spirit. "Right now, you are Nathrangking. You have been Nathrangking for epochs, and will remain Nathrangking for many more. You are a member of our group--one friend among others. Here, you hope that we do not look to you as a sword or a shield, but as a person. As times and ages came and went, you have been regarded as a force; an unstoppable being beyond mortal comprehension. It is not the first time you have wished, even beyond your own consciousness, that you could be like everyone else." Part of Fadran's mind turned to Icona as he said these words, remembering some of the times that Icona wished that he could be like the people he had strived so hard to protect. "You feel alone; trapped in a life you sometimes wish you never had. But you're not alone. There are those who know you are more than just an unstoppable force of anger and power. We will be here you for, and when ages have gone by and we are but memories, there will be others--there will always be people who know you, and trust you, and treat you not as a omnipotent god, but as an equal. When the collection of universes has been changed and we are forgotten, there will still be those who are there for you, to take you by the hand and lead you along not when you are powerless, but when you need to remember that you are more than a god; more than an everybody..." Fadran pockets the note, one he decided then and there never to leave behind. "When you need to remember that you are a person."
  6. "I certainly hope I never have to kill you, but..." He hands Nath a paper and pen. "I would like to be Bonded to you, like some others."
  7. Fadran doesn't say anything to her, letting her ponder what he had just said. "We're going to Sel after we get the demon warrior back. I imagine Mordred would be useful in a revolution."
  8. "Me?" Fadran asks. "I've been doing what I've always done to make by: help other people. Watching others learn, grow, and find their inner strengths is something I've always done to find peace and balance in my life. When Icona died to save Queen, I couldn't help but wonder if his choice was influenced by my internal need to help others. I think the most important thing that's helped me, though, is moving on." He summons his Channelblade, holding it before him. "It's easy enough to stop on the pathway of life because you think your lot is hard, but you can't turn around and go back: what's done is done. Staying still won't get you any closer to where you need to be." He hikes up his backpack. "It gratifies me more than you might think to know that we mean to you the same you mean to us. Family and friends are not so different. There are some who say that family is the most important thing in the universe; others who say the opposite. There are those who say they are the same thing, but it's not quite that simple. There's only one person in this world who can make a difference, and that's yourself. That's you, that's me, that's everyone here: we're all the only ones that matter, because as individual as everyone is, we're all connected; we're all the same." He looks up at Skye, unable to read her thoughts, but to feel her reservations. "It's not about how long we spend together, or what differences we find. What we share is everything we have, everything we have had, everything we will have: experiences, memories, friendships, family. No one needs to forge out on their own to learn things--no one should. The most important things we do are the things we do together." @turtle
  9. Concern--Fadran could see it in Nya's eyes, but perhaps now was not the best time to point it out. "First and foremost, though, we need to find Kindness's memories." @Spren of Kindness
  10. "I'm not going to let anyone eat you." Fadran replies. "But if you're willing, then thank you."
  11. "Well, Winter is summoned by strong emotions. I'm thinking that if we can find Kindness's memories, Winter will be drawn to our reaction. Then I can try to convince Winter that it doesn't need to eat people to feel emotion, and boom, problem solved!"
  12. Fadran nods. "Alright." He stands up and faces the group. "I have an idea on how to get Mordred back; conveniently enough, it also coincides with returning Kindness' memory."
  13. "Morning, everyone." Nya snaps awake, gasping and panting. Fadran instinctively falls to her side. "You alright?"
  14. "Hey sis! Truthless of Shinovar wants to know what you do for Cross-Country!"
  15. Did you know that Brandon Sanderson is actually female? Hey! My lemur!
