Allow me to draw your attenion to the ancient year of, uh... I'm going to say sometime between 2011 and 2013. I was bored one day, and my thought process was something like "I'm bored. Maybe I should write a book... yeah. I'd be famous!" So I sat down and wrote about a paragraph of what I thought was pro-level writing, then never wrote anything again. Fast-forward to 2017. I was, once again, bored, and decided that I should write a book. Bear in mind that I had no idea how to write back then, and I just thought that anybody who published a book that had "good ideas" in it would be rich and famous! Like J.K. Rowling! The reason why she was rich and famous was because she wanted a wizard school, totally not because she worked hard to design a realistic world, awesome characters, and a comprehensive plotline! The only reason why people read books was because of the action scenes, and authors got rich off of "being creative." In case you can't tell, I hated my 2017 mindset. All the misconceptions! How was I such an idiot?!? Fast-foward even further, to my first month in High School (wowza, was that a long time ago). It was around then that I discovered that I had a natural talent for writing, as I got 100% on any narrative assignment that someone threw at me. Around then, my mindset actually got even worse, because I assumed that in order to write a good story, you only have to be good at prose! If your writing is good, then it doesn't matter how good your characters, plot, or world was. I could write anything, and I'd be rich and famous! From there, it was a ride. I hammered through eighty trillion editions of the same story and never got anywhere, because I didn't have a plotline, I didn't have characters, I didn't have a world. I was just writing super generic fantasy and, for some reason, I couldn't figure out what to write! It was so scudding frustrating ()! Then I discovered this guy named Brandon Sanderson (you might've heard of him) and his books, which were really good. I was a particularly big fan of his ideas of having a connected universe (the Cosmere) and magic system (Investiture!). I began to take after him, creating a multi-planet world called the Iconar Collective (I don't actually know if it was called that back then... it might've been the Icolar Collective, or something). I invented the Channelknights at the same time as the Parallarity, giving them the ability to *spoilers* *spoilers* *spoilers* and stuff--they were the beginning of what would eventually become what I've written. It took me a lot longer to build a comprehensive world than you might expect. It took a long time to decide that I wanted six realms; even longer to name them all. Icona didn't exist until I had read the Silmarillion for the first time (I wanted my own divine hierarchy), and while I did create Fadran pretty early on, he wasn't the same character you see in the Fellowship of the Thing for a looong time. After awhile, I finally began to figure out how character arcs worked. I began to understand plotlines, magic systems, worldbuilding. Stuff began to fall into place. I created the plotline, eventually, and how the characters fit into that not long later. Then came the Golden Era. It began just after I had a bunch of ideas, but no idea how to implicate them. I just kind of assumed that I could improvise when I was actually writing something and everybody would be okay with it... I assumed wrong (probably; the world may never know). The Golden Era began when I divised the Ultimate Overarching Magic System: Icara Compounds and Faiden Clusters (it's really complicated, but I explain it in a chapter coming to a thread near you, so hopefully you can wait). Spirit Bonds (and Spirit in general) came after I had managed to describe each of my individual magic systems under the Ultimate Overarching Magic System, and boy were they an awesome addition to my World; I don't know what the heck I did without them! From there, it was just filling plothole after plothole with new additions to my world, and my magic, and my characters. Just last night, actually, I described another super important part of my magic in my notebook, and like all the plotholes have been filled! It is the Golden Age of the Iconar Collective, and I am loving it! Does that answer your question? I hope that answers you question. Don't die! ~Fadran

Fadran grabs another leftover backpack, slinging the one he stuffed with food over his shoulder. "Let's go!" He runs back to the forest.

Fadran grabs a sword, then picks whatever food seems unperishable and stuffs it in his backpack. "I wouldn't trust that stream--we have no idea what the gamemakers have put in it."
