  1. "It's not the physicality of the stance that really matters... depending on where you put your weight, what parts of yourself you use to the greatest advantages, or what areas you keep out of the way, you can help stabalize your mindset to better direct your magic. When it comes to combative magic--which I know you're not particularly proficient in, but it might be good to learn anyways--then your stance matters a lot. Take my self-contrived Silverform, for example." He bends his knees, clutching his Channelblade beside him and holding out his offhand. "This stance provides for quick attacks from either my blade or Arcana; whichever is most useful in a situation. The mindset is to be light on one's feet, as well as relentless in action. I've made it so that when I've distributed my own weight during this stance, I naturally think to dash around an obstacle or hurl a fireball at someone's face. Kind of like brain muscle memory." He pulls himself out of his stance. "Did that make any sense?
  2. "Mindset. To don't control your magic; you guide your magic, and to guide magic properly you need to know how best to guide it properly. Your magic taps into several doorways, flowing out of each and through you as a conduit. Your duty is to direct it to go and do whatever it is you want it to do..." Fadran thinks for a second. "There are probably stances that could help you with his, but... we don't know what they are. I guess we could try a few back from my homeworld?"
  3. "Then allow me to help you. You may now call me Master, My Lord, Sir Omnipotent the Great and Wise... or just Fadran." He smiles. "I think just Fadran would do the trick."
  4. I would like to know how you started following a thread before it even existed:

  7. "I couldn't tell you, but it's possible. Negative Emotional magic isn't the only way to knock yoursel out; if a source is powerful enough, then as untrained as you are, it can overwhelm you." Fadran stretches. "If you'd like some informal training in this kind of thing, then in theory I might be able to help."
  8. "I wouldn't know, but I suspect that wherever there's something to be experienced, there's a source to be found. Emotions, in particular, are probably the most common sources--in fact, I bet if you never knew anyone who studied magic as much as I did, those would be your only sources. I imagine that emotional sources provide one-dimension, single-layered magic; real basic stuff. You might be able to compound emotions, though that could be really dangerous if done incorrectly. Compounding positive emotions like happiness and pride could provide some really powerful results, but compounding negative emotions like sadness and anger could provide some really dangerous results--the confusing muddle of negative emotions will confuse you and... possibly kill you dead."
  9. "Then, ah..." Fadran tries to steady his awkward-itis by pulling into a subject he knows all too well: magic. "When you have a form of magic that comes from a variety of different sources, then you'll occasionally find sources that are ludicrously powerful or incredibly lame. The way your magic works, you should be able to test a source before actually using it, and prevent yourself from... well, dying."
  10. Fadran clears his throat. "So, uh... Queen. Uhmm... learn any new magic things? Recently?"
  11. "Yeah. One of the bottomless pits. So put that plank back!"
  12. I saw this: And sighed. Loudly.
  13. "Ooh! Sounds fun. When do we start?"
  14. Who in the colors just gave me fourteen identical notifications in two minutes?

Yes I did! Not only is your book amazing and deserving of my rep, but also, your days won went down to 10 for some reason, so I was trying to get it back up to the wonderful number of 11.

You don't need to do that! (Though there isn't much you could do about it now... you could probably go back and downvote those posts but I doubt you would...).

Eh, might as well be grateful and not condescending, right? Here, this emoji will work:

  15. "You know," Fadran replies, "going on a hike across the ocean to stop the people attacking Enter's base. The norm."
  16. "Xaoth the Amazing is always up for any adventure!" Xaoth grins, but then his smile falters. "Uh... where are we adventuring to?"
