Janice's face was one of disbelief. The ever-fearless Aryanna? Shrinking back? What had Kane done to her? "I'm here." Janice whispered, hugging Aryanna close. "He's not going to hurt you anymore."

"Huh. You've got street cred?" Ellis took a seat.

"No, I don't--" Janice looked up, shrinking at the sight of Kane.

"Just hold onto me. I'll help you." She grunted. "Best I can, anyways."

"Alrighty." Janice stabbed down at the manacles. They snapped. "It worked!"

Ellis stood by the gate to Gilmen District, hesitating before he entered. As a person passed by him, he caught their attention. "Hey, you wouldn't know where I could find some of the Death Angels, would you?"

"See that tower?" Fadran asks, pointing to a dome-like tower on the roof.
