"See, they're really bad at problem-solving skills, so when a bunch of monsters attacked their village one day, they had no idea what to do. Insert Pior and I. We punch the monsters really hard in the face and call it a day. Now they're in our debt, and can't lay a finger on us until it's repaid... which'll take awhile, seeing as how tiny their economy is." Aerith stretched. "Anyways, the reason why the don't like people is because they often fall into their debt, which is why they try to kill anyone who enters their town. It's quite the paradox, really. They don't want to be in people's debt, so they try to kill these people, but when they do fall into their debt, they can't kill those people. The entire reason why they want to kill people is so that they won't have to not be able to kill people." He scratched his head. "Does that make any sense?"

"They won't kill us, though. They can't."

"None of them have left their wor--town in ages."

"Oh no, they're all pretty hecking evil. Very likely to try and kill us on sight. Key word there, though, is try."

Janice woke up in a small, white room. She tried to sit up, but found her arms constricted to the... bed? Should it be called that? It wasn't exactly soft. She tugged against her bonds, but a burst of pain shot through her from where Kuno had shot her. She gasped, instinctively grabbing for the wound--though she couldn't reach it. "Hello?" She asked groggily.

"There is no way anyone either than us knows where this place is. It's... in an interesting place."

"It isn't, but it's safer than waiting for that amal army to come find us."

"Yep. Lots of people."

"It's an... old village."

"Woo! Fire time!"
