"I get most of my info from this book." Val tapped her spellbook. "Each of the ribbons do different things when combined with other ribbons which, unfortunately, leads to a very high amount of possibilities. The wizard who gave me this says that there are over a hundred thousand possibilities for how I can combine these; and that's just the base amount. You can include higher amounts or lower amounts of various ribbons, which means that, according to the math, means that there are more possibilities for what I can do than there are atoms in the universe."

"Whoa. Slow down there. You're off on a misconception." Val motioned for him to back up with her hands. "The ribbons make the spells, not the other way around. It's kinda like alchemy, but I have all the ingredients with me all the time."

The guard gave himself an exasperated sigh. When would the other men understand that the women's restroom was for women only?

"It means allowed. You're not allowed to go in there." He stopped Lloyd, letting a woman pass into the room.

One timeskip later, they arrived at the town. It was quaint, if anything, but looked well-sustained and happy. The locals waved at the newcomers, children stopping their play to stare as if Leonas and the others were the most interesting thing to happen in months; of course, they probably were. "Are there any doctors here?" Leonas asked, gesturing to Harmony. "She's badly hurt."
