Trace stopped her with another burst of force sent to the face for a good 'ol fashioned BONK.

It bonked her on the head. Ouch. Ouch. How did a chunk of ice hurt more than the bullet of all things? Trace shattered the pillar with her power.

Trace let the sword hit her, then used the pain to launch Lloyd through the air.

Ouch. That hurt. "Okay. You first, then." Trace jumped off the hill, blowing Maddy back with a burst of force and dashing straight for Cadenza. @Matrim's Dice

Trace snorted; at who was unclear. "Sure. Give it your best shot."

Jessica held up a hand. "Waiter! Can we get two ales over here? Make them chilled."

"You don't have a chance at beating me, sir."

"Hmm. I guess that was an oversight on my part. Welp; fighting time. You guys wanna go first, or should I?"

Jessica smiled to herself as... someone entered. They didn't want to draw any attention to themselves, it seemed; the right kind of person for the right kind of job. She walked over, taking a table beside the person. She would try to stay inconspicuous, but... she wasn't particularly good at that. "Can I buy you a drink?" She decided to say.

"Phew!" Trace wiped her forehead. "For a moment there, I was worried that you were going to do the heroic thing and set aside your own goals to save your friends or something stupid like that."

"I didn't realize that it was an option before. I do now. So what... you gonna come quietly or are we gonna make things messy?"

"Yep. That's kinda the whole idea."

"My target is you. The others can die, run away, bury their heads in the sand..." Trace shrugged.

"I feel like she should've called you popsicle before I ever did." Trace sighed. "Alright; this is boring. Are we gonna duke it out, or...?"

"Intuition, some awkward conversations with her in my brain, and this creepy guy named Fadran who decided to hijack our dream once." "Does that make you angry, 'mountain lady?' Y'know, if you want, you can just leave with Lloyd here and now and I'll pretend like I never saw you; I really do think you two would be cute together."

"Oh, so you do like him!" "Yeah, sure." Trace eyed Maddy. "Who's this? A replacement for Janice?"

Trace grinned. "Still scared, popsicle? That's good; you should be."
