We have no reason to believe that the different states of investiture can do the same thing as each other, except that all of them will eventually ascend you if you absorb enough of them.

    The form of investiture itself does not matter in that scenario, the mists are Preservations body, as is Lerasium and the Well of Ascension. When Vin absorbed the mists, the important part was not the form of investiture, it was the amount of it.
