Sometimes what one wants will happen, then what the other, sometimes it will depend on strength, and sometimes it will depend on who keeps Narrating it for longer. It really depends on a lot of things." "They wouldn't be strong enough to stop someone actually willing to wield Endings." The voice sounded very slightly different from Bacon now. "Do you want one?"

    Subversion waved to Faunus. "Hey. Have you figured out how to Narrate yet?"

    "Of course we're trying to find the truth. We just won't force you to testify, since your testimony might incriminate you." Well you beat up Rond and Thaidakar, and you didn't let me help that time like I promised! "Well," Said a voice that sounded like Bacon's. "She is a pacifist, so it wouldn't be too hard to get it from her."

You don’t have to testify if you don’t want to.” The brave adventurer shook his head. “Why would we force you to testify?” You could call it “creating via my *redacted for the purpose of not getting on Onyx’s bad side* powers.” Also, let me take the Enuller! You always beat up the bad guys, and I want a turn.

    "Are you willing to testify in the trial?" Subversion glanced around. Huh. I would've sworn he would fall for that. "Enuller! Come fight me, so I can beat you up or something!" Not currently, to my knowledge.

    The Ancient Ghanderflaffle led Nogard in silence through at least a dozen corridors before getting to the teleporter room. "Here we are child. I do hope you are able to prove your innocence." "Well, all right then." Subversion started towards the Enuller. (invisibly) "Oh, bother, he's gone. Oh well." Subversion appeared next to Bacon, hands on her hips. "I totally could've taken him." She seemed completely defenseless, no weapon in hand, posture unguarded. Behind her, however, around the area where someone might pop out of a portal to try shooting her in the back, the air shimmered very slightly for a brief moment. A thought came into Perseus's head. ask him about Endings.

    "Of course. I am sure you were innocent in all of this." The grandmotherly Ghanderflaffle laughed to herself as she continued leading Nogard through the labyrinth of twisting corridors. Subversion shrugged unseeably. "Well, I guess I can beat the Enuller up a bit." Oh, is this from your legally disputed non-Narratorial powers? Yeah, that is different from Narration, but calling it 'Creation' isn't fair. It implies that Narration doesn't create things, when Narration is probably the most creating power there is!

    Well he was working with the Great Wizard. If they find the Wizard guilty, they’ll probably try Nogard as well.

    What did you use to Create worlds? Yeah, hopefully they don't decide to execute him.

    I have also done both. By which I mean I narrated a world into existence. They’re the same thing, and give the same results.

    "It's no bother. Tell me child, you are one of the ones who was working with the Great Wizard, yes?" She turned to face Nogard with a grandmotherly air. "Would you perhaps have some insight into his conspiracy?" "Hi!" Subversion waved invisibly and started petting the ghost dog. Hi Shoe. I'm fine. Nogard's alright, although he was captured by the Brave Adventurers. Uh, what exactly is the difference? "Oh good. You probably don't need my help then?"

    "I see." The wizened figure (who looked somewhat similar to the General) raised a crooked hand and waved Nogard to follow her as she set off down the hallway. "Follow me, and I'll take you where you to the teleporter room." "Narrating a world into existence is the same as creating it." Subversion grumbled as Platypus left to go fight. She waited around until the fighting had probably wound down a bit, then teleported after him, cloaking herself in invisibility to be safe. To be nice to those with newly discovered Narrator powers, she left a one-way portal in case Faunus wanted to follow her. @LessName -- "Hey, Beosta. Are you guys winning?" Spoke Subversion's voice from midair. @The Halcyon Girl

    "The-that's on the other side of the base!" One of the figures threw back their hood, revealing an ancient face. "Young man, are you sure you weren't trying to snoop around?" "Please. You could just go there! Nothing stopping you. Actually, I could send you there. What do you want the world to be like? Rainbows every day, or every other day?" Subversion rolled her eyes. "The... intimidating look? If that's what you want to call it."

    Subversion grinned. "Thanks. We should hang out sometime after all this Plotblade business has blown over. What're your thoughts on burning down candle stores?" Subversion applauded sarcastically. "Very nice. I'm terrified, and will never tease you again." Subversion smirked. "Don't worry Platypus, I'm not reading your mind, just your thoughts. You really should stop letting them get Narrated if you don't want me reading them." "I tried my best to pick a name that you would pick, but you're right. I did a terrible job. Hacob's far too good a name for any character of yours." The two figures spun towards Nogard in alarm. "Who are you?"

    The first figure raised his head in surprise at the second's whisper. "What? That's... no, you're right. It does make sense. He's always fiddling with it, and there have been a lot of odd occurrences since he took over. I guess, with a weapon like that... well, maybe it's not such a stupid idea. Come on, let's get going. Can't be late for the strategy meeting." The second figure pulled a torch on the wall, opening a secret passage in the corridor that stayed open just long enough for both of them to step through.

    Subversion snorted. "Is that supposed to be insulting? Rats are very nice creatures." "Uh... sure." The medical adventurer walked away very confused. "I just prophesied. So I am one." "You think I don't understand the stakes?" Subversion laughed. "Please. I've seen one of the Plotblades. I know just as well as you what will happen if they're claimed." Surprise crossed Subversion's face as the dress appeared. It was gone in an instant, along with the dress, appearing on Platypus instead. Subversion laughed. "You know, I think maybe we got off on the wrong foot. You're not so bad now that you're insulting Platypus." In the dim light of the corridor, Nogard could see two figures whispering to each other some distance ahead. "He means to reveal the Blade's identity in the trial! What's stopping anyone with enough power from just claiming them there and then? I mean, surely some Narrator will do so." "He says he has something that will prevent that. An edge, he calls it, that will prevent such inconvenient possibilities. I hear that it's a-" The second figure paused, then leaned in closer and whispered the next part too low for Nogard to hear.

    A gust of wind coincidentally happened to blow sand into Faunus's face.

    Subversion pretended to ignore Faunus, shadows swirling around her (also booted) feet as she stomped away. "Now that you mention it, I always wondered why you wore a rat's nest on your head. Do you mean to say that it's your actual hair? No wonder you're so angry all the time." "We have to make certain that they're not injured, so that we can treat them if they are." The adventurer glanced at Hacob's stab wound again. "Are you certain you're feeling alright? Blood loss can make you lightheaded, you know." Subversion gasped. "I told you this would work! And Platypus thought I wasn't an oracle. Hah!" As he walked down the hallway, Nogard heard muttering coming from further on ahead, just loud enough to make out. "-ou really think we should go along with his insane plan? If anything goes wrong, the entire Thread could be destroyed!"

    All nine doors in the room opened to reveal identical hallways, dimly lit by torches lining the walls. "Hear what?" Subversion looked confused. "Is it the voice of prophecy?" "I don't know, maybe bec-Any could wield the dread Blades. The fates swirl. Doom or salvation shall come.-ause it's terrible for your hair or something?" What, does he hear the voice of prophecy too? "Because they're not injured? Didn't I just tell you that?" The medical adventurer looked confused. Subversion frowned. Who's giving prophecy? And that totally doesn't count, as I'm 99% sure that she was possessed in that game.
