  1. Dang it guys! I'm trying to not lose the game. Stop @'ing people with colors! . . . @DramaQueen
  2. Someone else handed the Quarkbeast the Winter Soldier's arm.
  3. You need to have a connection to somebody to give them a vision. Even Odium needed a connection to Kaladin for that. The Stormfather normally gets that from the Highstorm, but with Gavilar, he must have been connected enough to do so without it.
  4. They can also only manipulate connection in one way. And I'm not saying Bondsmiths have to do things in different ways, but that there are certain types of bonds that are more powerful, and thus take more effort to manipulate.
  5. They were connected enough for Gavilar to get visions outside of Hightstorms.
  6. Additionally, connection medallions give knowledge of language. We see multiple tiers of connection manipulation, with Bondsmiths at the top. No it's not, because one of them allowed Odium to give Kaladin visions, and one of them is completely irrelevant.
  7. Yes. Dalinar fed on stormlight on the battlefield.
  8. Kaladin, yeah. But it doesn't look like Gavilar is at that point yet.
  9. I don't think Elhokar breathed in stormlight from his Shardplate. And Gavilar wasn't a very good match for the Stormfather.
  10. Gavilar was one oath short of bonding the SF. He hadn't sworn any ideals.
  11. Someone else handed the Quarkbeast a piece of chicken.
  12. There is a difference between the connection between Kaladin and Moash, and the connection between Moash and the ruler of Azir.
  13. Someone else punched the meaning in the face.
  14. It's possible that he could strengthen the connection through his connection to the Stormfather, without needing to touch him. However, I will admit that this theory is extremely tenuous at best, and my entire reason for looking for alternatives is based on me feeling that the Stormfather is acting out of character, based on the first draft of the prologue. So I don't exactly think it's a very likely theory. Just something that could be possible.
  15. Yes. summoning the perpendicularity, connecting all three realms together, tires him. Yes. But a Bondsmith could strengthen it.
  16. Dalinar was able to easily connect himself to other people in order to do understand their language, even before swearing the third ideal. And Gavilar was on the road to becoming a Bondsmith. He had connection to the Stormfather, and Ishar had connection to the Stormfather.
  17. Someone else handed the Quarkbeast a nice orange.
  18. Someone else handed him some horneater white.
  19. Someone else winked knowingly. "Secret recipe."
  20. Meanwhile, in the physical realm *Pulls out hemalurgic spike* Alright, time to call the health insurance guy.
  21. Moash had a strong enough connection to Kaladin for Odium to use his connection to Moash to give Kal visions. (SP #4) It seems like the connection needed to do VR calls is fairly easy to get, even possible to get naturally. Straight up taking a bond from a Knight Radiant, particularly a Bondsmith, is obviously far more difficult. And while it is true that Ishar needed to touch the Windrunners to connect them to the ground, he had to forge an entirely new connection for that, and he didn't have any prior connection to them. It stands to reason that simply enhancing a connection would be much easier.
  22. Forging enough of a connection to do a VR voicecall is substantially easier than stealing a third ideal Bondsmith's connection to the Stormfather,
