Actually, you don’t. Kaladin infused the floor to pull on the Pursuer’s head and then walked away as it ripped off. Could be a continuity error, or perhaps he just timed it well.

Yeah, I feel like this would likely lead to a draw, unless the Radiant lures the Mistborn in close and then activates the fabrial. Most Mistborn ain't stupid enough to run in and go fight a power-armored pseudo-deity while powerless. I would put suppressor fabrials in the same boat as surge fabrials, however, since they require a sentient spren. Attractor Fabrials are more limited than you make them seem. The ones we see don't have very good range and can only be focused on specific types of materials, so maybe you could get it to attract all metals, from pretty closeby. Unless we've seen some more advanced models that I'm forgetting about. Close combat would be very risky, but it could be done if the Mistborn had aluminum melee weapons. I'd give the Mistborn better odds than you did, maybe 6-7/10 for the Radiant, maybe less depending on how effective attractor Fabrials are. It's possible that soothing/rioting wouldn't work as well, but I'm assuming a 'lot of breaths' to mean something like fifth heightening, which is likely much more investiture than the average Radiant has, given that a thousand breaths is enough to create a Shardblade, which is sort of approximately equal to a spren, maybe? Soothing or rioting a spren would be tough though. In OB, when Sigzil was testing the abilities of Stormlight, Skar managed to run 'over a mile from the center of the market, then crossed the plateau and charged the ramp' in ten minutes without Stormlight. With Stormlight and a quarter lashing upwards to make himself lighter, Drehy managed to run that distance in under six minutes, which was the fastest time out of all bridge 4. a quick google tells me that the world record for a two-mile run (Which is probably longer than bridge 4 was running) is 7:58.61. Given that Drehy used a lashing to help instead of just relying on the Stormlight boost, I'd say that this lines up pretty well with Stormlight letting you sprint forever, something that normal humans can only do for about 20-30 seconds. I agree. This was in the context of a sneak attack, which is the Mistborn's preferred method of attack. It's not really necessary, given how OP normal compounding is. I was just bringing it up to defend the fully charged steel plate armor, which really isn't necessary. ten times speed for an hour or so will be more than enough, and won't require duraluminum compounding. Thanks. In that case, I would theorize that Kel used duraluminum compounding to fill them, increasing the 'pressure' of attribute and allowing him to force more trait in. Vindication isn't stronger than a shotgun, it's still a pistol. And a Mistborn can still boost their shots with A-steel. They don't need to break Plate in one shot, they only need a consistent way to damage it until they run the Radiant out of Stormlight. I've got another scenario to bring up: Mistborn with allomantic grenades vs. Radiant with normal fabrials. With allomancy grenades, a Mistborn can leech 3rd ideal Radiants from a distance and set up speedbubbles to slow them down. Moreover, charging the device with aluminum will allow for shutting down powers around the grenade:

Or it could indicate that Shallan is crazy. The timeline makes sense though: 1. Shallan kills her mother 2. Her father stuffs the Blade into the Strongbox 3. The Blade disappears, Testament goes to Shallan the next day 4. Shallan kills Testament and 'forgets' all about it ever happening 5. There's no step five, because a glow could indicate any number of things. Additionally, Shallan has her memories with Testament, including Testament's death. They are part of her truth. If she'd killed Testament earlier, she would know.

Maaaaaybe? Sometimes? Definitely not always. I still make mistakes all the time. I'm not offended. Feel free to call me out for not sourcing my stuff any time. I'll either have some source that'll take me a few minutes to find (or, you know, I'll dig through Arcanum for a really long time before finally finding that one WoB I half-remember reading a few months ago) or I will realize that I'm just making stuff up or misremembering a WoB/quote from the books.
-
The dead blade was never returned to the strongbox. Shallan herself admits to Pattern that the Blade vanished as soon as her father closed the strongbox. The second man, Shallan's mother's lover, was associated with the Skybreakers and convinced her to kill Shallan because she was a budding Radiant.
-
Not a theory. The WoB's been used multiple times in this thread: And I've already had a debate about whether or not Plate is always summoned (It's not).
-
It only works while Plate is summoned.
-
If they wear it constantly, which they almost certainly won't. Depends on how easily they can get access to a Soulcaster who doesn't ask too many questions. Or steal one.
-
Pretty much. Might have the unintended side effect of causing the Radiant to swear a new oath, so you've got to be careful.

Fourth ideal Radiant, I agree, barring unrealistic amounts of Atium. I'd put a Third ideal Radiant at 5/10 or so, depending on equipment, and second or lower at 8-9/10 for the Mistborn. (Since Radiants tend to use metal, non-aluminum weapons when they don't have Shardblades) Also, we need to establish the equipment. For example, can a Mistborn with prep time get a bunch of gatling guns and rig them all to be fireable via allomancy? Mistborn wins 8-9/10. Ideals don't matter a whole lot for this one, as leeching will prevent the Radiant from summoning Plate and Blade. Radiants aren't normally suspicious of regular people walking up to them while they're walking around off-duty, so with soothing to get rid of what little suspicion they might feel, a sneak attack will be pretty easy to pull off. However, a skilled or lucky enough Radiant might be able to turn the tables on the Mistborn and land enough hits to take them down before the Mistborn manages to do the same. Still in the Mistborn's favor, I'd say, but the Radiant at least has a small chance. Third ideal Radiant, I'd give a 7/10 win for the Mistborn. I'd already give the edge to a Mistborn in a straight-up fight, so with at least a little bit of a surprise advantage things are even more in their favor. Fourth ideal, things are trickier. I don't think a melee strategy would work unless the Radiant wasn't prepared for soothing, and even then it would be pretty chancy. So assassination via guns (If they're allowed) or dropping big pieces of metal on the Radiant's head would probably work better. Or they could riot the Radiant's paranoia to try and make them attack innocents or do something stupid. Maybe 4-5/10 for the Mistborn? I'm honestly not sure how this would play out. 9.5-9.9/10. With Atium, the sneak attack plan becomes basically unbeatable. 9/10 for Third ideal, maybe 6-7 for the Fourth? The sneak attack plan is probably back on the table, with Atium to back it up. So is getting a bunch of large metallic objects and smashing the Radiant to bits while dodging everything they can do via Atium. Mistborn fakes their death on the fifth day, then kills the Radiant on the sixth while they're out drinking to their victory.

That doesn't happen with copper. And if it did work like that, Wax should've kept all of his allomantic abilities after chucking the bands out the window. Fine. if we're not going to discuss medallions, then we definitely can't bring in surge fabrials.
