    Nameless knelt down next to the void, an intense look of concentration on his face. Abruptly, he stood. "Can someone hand me a rock?"

    “We leave as soon as I get the trip approved and finalize the roster. We’re going to explore as many of the different universes Brandon’s written about as I can get access to.” Lark gestured to the form he’d handed Matra. “You do have to sign that waiver to go.”

    I drain the river into an underground cave filled with piranhas and steal the sandwich while you are preoccupied by being eaten.

    “Yes, actually. I’ve been planning a field trip to the Cosmere and other locations from Sanderson’s books.”

    Nameless sighed “great. Both of you guys are losing your mind.” Lark approached, handing Matra a form. “Would you like to sign up for my experimental treatments?”

    Nameless shook his head. "Not a clue. I figured we'd chuck stuff at it."

    He knew the beast was above him, of course. But he didn't have the sight to see which way was up.

    "Some kind of barrier perhaps? That doesn't match up with my experiences in that place. We'll have to figure out a way to get past it."

    "Really? Most universes don't have such direct connections to the space between. Getting out of here'll be easier than I thought."

    Nameless raised an eyebrow. "Where is that void, exactly?"

    "Demon caves? Sounds like a good place to start."
