You Know You're a Sanderfan When...

Slashes a *Nightblood* through your hands, then -
What if it is unkeyed, and remember the possible hack?

The Ire and connections to Elantris: what significance does the ire Aon have on aging (and are the jars of Invesitiure? part of it, maybe? and the cord to the back of the building is storing Connection?) and how much? (Ruin says that they have existed for far too long) Do we know if the Ire are wary/ staying away from shadows (the Shadesmar equivalent)? Does the Orb store Connection, but Connection to nothing in particular? Kelsier and the Well of Ascension: Does being in the presence of a perpendicularity (or a bunch of Investiture) "expand your soul"? Spikes: storing them in blood preserves them, does it have to be the Inquisitor's blood? If not, could it work for a Kandra? Identity of clothing: if Kelsier thought of his clothing as having words/ knots in it, and believed it enough, couldn't he take notes? Hoid: Shards (at least Preservation) refer to him as Cephandrius, is that what he went by when he met them (probably a RAFO for DragonSteel)? Do we have a WoB if Hoid is using "Stick" as an oar? How were the Pits of Hathsin "easier to access" (paraphrasing) as a perpendicularity (how would he have escaped)? Do we know if Hoid has the equivalent of a gemstone that doesn't leak Investiture (like from Shadesmar near Roshar)? Does Hoid know Sazed (he references a tall, bald, and wears lots of earings before he makes for the Well)? Do we know if the bandages that Kelsier saw him (percieving himself as) wearing are reminicient of his time on Sel? Kelsier: Anyone else notice how he takes advantage of Preservation? Mare's flower picture was placed by Preservation/ actions of Preservation, right? Ruin: He claims not to be Evil, but he intends to destroy everything on Scadrial. Ati might not be Evil, but Ruin is. Shadesmar: do we know what the "strange formations of rock, like glassy sculptures" are?

Do we have info about lift hacking into metalminds / changing them into Investiture (through her hack via Nightwatcher)? Major levels of it if so. She could be so awesome...

Trying to decide a new series to start
GoWibble replied to vickyperkin's topic in General Brandon Discussion
10x as short is not a good thing! I really like Starsight (by Brandon) and the Legion books. And Reckoners Some other, inferior series are Seven Wonders The Immortal Life of Nicholas Flamel -
I've never understood the number of metals thing for Scadrial. I understand the thing about the 16, but why the actual metals (and Godmetals?) this is the list that I came up with: Pewter Iron Steel Tin Brass Copper Zinc Brass Aluminum Gold Malatium Electrum Chromium Nicrosil Duralumin Cadmium Bendalloy Lerasium Atium I'm not sure why the metals changed, or why they are more than 16 (something to do with Sazed?), but I think I know about the Godmetals: they are the chosen metals that are the Physical form of the Shards? Please explain

Other than a planet, I think that Ati was referencing an area in Shadesmar, maybe on Yolen?

Souls of people killed by Nightblood or shardblade
GoWibble replied to XaviGzz's question in Cosmere Q&A
I think that fighting someone with a seathed Nightblood would be interesting, especially if they pull off the seath. So far as we know, the souls die, which is just the more extreme version of Shardblade damaging the soul (or killing the soul of the part of the living creature).- 11 replies

Would a single Atium spike make u a Mistborn or Fullborn ?
GoWibble replied to Friendshipspren's question in Cosmere Q&A
I think that it works in the same way that the medallions can only store two easily. You can only steal one power easily -
So maybe it is a place-specific world/ place like Taldain and Sel.

Has anyone past or future gotten anything out of Brandon Sanderson about Vax? It is mentioned breifly at the end of Elantris by Nazh, I think. What we know is: Argent Is Vax a planet? It’s clearly suggested that it is. Brandon Sanderson What’s that? Argent It’s heavily suggested that it is. Brandon Sanderson It is heavily suggested that it is a place. Argent It's a place. Okay, I'll take that. *talking to other attendees* Vax is a place. Brandon Sanderson No no, heavily suggested that it's a place, is what I said! Calamity Chicago signing (Feb. 22, 2016) I kind of want to know if Hoid has gone there

New spren...hey! No groaning! This is important

still hair spren, but specifically, some of each will gather to watch what it turns out to be, and the ones that don't apply anymore will *groan* -

I think that they would be hair spren, and beard spren are just a type of them -

I agree, most of the people that bonded spren weren't royalty, but royalty are more likely to bond spren (and be viewpoints) 1. They have better access to materials: many of the darkeyes, with an exception to Teft (& clan/ family), have never heard of the ideals. The nobles almost have them in their society 2. They are at the center of events/ on the main lines against Odium (in OB and later? (prob)) 3. The kinds of sentient spren have similar attractions to what the lighteyes normally do or should be doing (this might be Brandon bias) 4. Nobles are also around more Investiture, if that changes anything 5. see Innovation's answer above about spren Shallan was one before she married in, remember what happened to her mother? you don't revive the Blades, you summon their deadeye forms. So far, Blades cannot *easily* be revived. There are channels for those, so pls don't start that up here. first of all, Honor already has a major splinter in the Stormfather so the only person to ascend would be Dalinar, who doesn't really want all of that power, and second of all: haters on Brandon don't belong on this thread. Questions are ok, but opinions about redundancy as a critique go somewhere else. This is for cool theories, not rhetorical attacks. SA will be good. There is the argument that if you are Radiant, then you are royalty (lighteyes)...., but that's not being asked, is it.

I wouldn't say that he is my favorite villain, but Dilaf is pretty great with the turn-around both at the end and when he steals all of Hrathen's followers by making them his odivs
-
it would require many more Breaths

My first glance says yes. The only other thing that I can think of is that they are the result of a Splinter inhabiting something. Other than that, you would probably get a RAFO

Why Odium is Passion (and why Odium is not Passion)
GoWibble replied to Ixthos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think that he is lying to himself about being Passion because he wants to be the ultimate force in the Cosmere, which Adonsalium was, and he wants to be Passion, not Hatred -
Being a savant at certain metals, ie. Pewter, is not necessarily safe. You could still die, not in the same way as if you held Nightblood, but dying is dying
