  1. The Pinical, yes
  2. That power isn't coming from Preservation though, and thus is not breaking apart the metal. Because the metal itself is not giving the additional power, the work that the metal itself is doing in each case is the same.
  3. The point is aluminum doesn't take priority. Exactly, if you have enough power your power will still exist after aluminum Hemalurgy. Likewise if you have enough power you can still use it in an aluminum bubble. That's true, but using pure investiture to fuel your power doesn't make it last longer, it makes it more powerful. The Siblings effect is stronger, it not only covers a much larger area it also causes the users to pass out, not just be unable to use their powers. It's not a diminished though. It's made from a manifestation of higher spren, so it's a surge fabrial.
  4. Oh each metal would, but an ironmind half full and an ironmind completely full would have the same one.
  5. Compounding might have a different burn rate than Allomancy would, but metalminds would all have the same burn rate because the excess power isn't coming from Preservation. Just like how metalminds don't break when you tap them.
  6. It only has diminishing returns if you tap at a higher rate Remind me to look into it in a few days I'm completely brain dead right now. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  7. The reason that they burn faster is that you get the power by pulling the investiture through the metals structure, which is why the metal breaks. However feruchemical stores don't do that and burning it just releases it to you, so there would be no reason for it to burn faster as it isn't being drawn through the metals structure. You only get diminishing returns when tapping at a higher rate than you stored, so you can just store the amount that you got from burning and still get the increase in efficiency, while also having the benefit of being able to draw on more attribute if needed.
  8. If their Allomancy was suppressed they wouldn't be able to use it. And would this have the same reaction to aluminum that any normal person would. A role yes, I just don't think it's the main factor. That's the same thing as a suppression fabrial. Unless you believe it to be absolute, in which case stabbing a vessel with an aluminum spike would destroy their entire shard, which makes no sense. No? Where are you getting duration from? It only shows a power increase. That doesn't indicate that it lasted longer for them then Cadmium would have, only that the compression factor was greater. Source? She also had Transformation, which the Sibling referenced as relevant. How are they more powerful than the Sibling?
  9. Probably, yeah I think that would probably work. Though I don't see what difference that would make other than allowing you to get to a slightly higher attribute level without diminishing returns.
  10. Burn rate is consistent (outside of flaring) no matter how much storage there is. In that providing Allomancy has the same burn rate for the whole metal, and providing the feruchemical trait is the same burn rate, no matter how full, but the two burn rates might not be the same for both. Once you store enough of an attribute to compound the entire thing storing more doesn't help you as much. This is how I often explain it if we have two compounders, and compounder A stored 1x units of Investiture in a piece of metal that he could burn for 10x units of Investiture allomantically, and stored 4x units of Investiture in another metalmind, and Feruchemist B stored 5x units of Investiture in a piece of metal he could burn for 10x units of Investiture allomantically, they would both end up with 15x units of Investiture.
  11. It's not just the effects of aluminum, it is specifically aluminum Allomancy, and you wouldn't be able to burn aluminum if you Allomancy was suppressed, therefore there is nothing special about aluminum primer cubes. It also suppressed Lifts lifelight, though to a lesser extent, I'd imagine it's more Intent, and whatnot than what type of Investiture is used. It's aluminum Allomancy, not aluminum, and secondhand aluminum Allomancy at that. The metal is a manifestation of spren, not a normal metal. It really doesn't, aluminum doesn't make shardblades dismiss, or break shardplate apart. It doesn't stop you from healing unless it is in the wound, you could completely coat yourself in aluminum and would still be able to lash yourself. It does block the use, unless you are more powerful than it is. But it doesn't last longer. Did it last hours or just a few minutes that appeared to be hours to those outside? They are powerful enough to push through.
  12. 3 is the limit but the nicrosil portion is not included, so medallions that let you store weight and tap heat are only 2 metals not 3. This brings up an interesting question, what happens when two suppression devices overlap? Why would they be more powerful than the Sibling? Just by investiture levels it doesn't make sense. I don't see a reason why they would last longer than they would when the Mistborn used them. Would they be able to shoot coins into a suppression area?
  13. You know what? Open the floodgates. Let's allow fabrials, medallions and primer cubes.
  14. Alright, I finally sat down and worked through these, sorry to the week old posters I'm bringing back. You can't steelpush on objects outside of bubbles. He's also said that Radiants can't draw light from gemstones in shardplate, and living plate doesn't even need light anyway So this is something that I saw a lot of and I wanted to bring it up. Compounding is not 10x what you put in. The amount of power you get out is equal to what you would have gotten from Allomancy, plus what you stored. Otherwise your allomantic power would have to change. 1. I don't think metalminds in other realms would work. 2. In the new version of WoR I think Szeth falls to death after Kal cuts his hand and he drops the Honorblade, but I haven't read it yet. 3. Brandon has also said that no one we have seen had the ability to push on Shardblades, so even Rashek couldn't do it. The entire Miles discussion was rather amusing to read because I kept thinking "Guys, Miles is a savant, we can't use him as a baseline" and then someone else posted it at the very end. They updated the rules recently to allow them now, which is great.
  15. See, that's why I think it will happen.
  16. Nope This place is a seat of government There have been multiple attacks on the Monarch here This place is a building A Shard has been here This place is on Roshar Szeth attampted to kill someone who was not the monarch here.
  17. I just thought of an even more horrible thing to do to them. Using the same thing Renarin did to Moash you can show them what their life would be like if they weren't being tortured. The best possible version of that life. Always there, but forever out of reach. Am I a bad person?
  18. The burn rate is affected by the time dialation. Say they have enough investiture to make a bubble for 10 minutes, and the bubble has a compression factor of 10, to an outside observer you would run out in one minute. I know, I'm saying that speed bubbles require a lot of investiture to work, and using bendalloys burn speed as evidence
  19. They could regrow from it
  20. Syl, probably.
  21. Why would you use division if you have a shardblade? Division is how you punish the Mistborn of leeching. I'd imagine that pure investiture fueled leeching would be just as fast at draining pure investiture as Chromium would be at draining metals. But yeah, that is speculation.
  22. I don't really think that works, the only reason I have seen proposed is that the investiture resistance property takes effect but neither Atium or Lerasium take longer to burn. That's the hope. It should be pretty fun.
  23. They aren't storing their physical ability to heal, but rather their Connection to their spirit, and their ability to make their body match their spiritual ideal
  24. Glad to be back No clue why it would be, something about stressing the soul would be my best guess. And while Miles wasn't always burning gold, he was always tapping.
  25. Emotional allomancy naturally is better in a direction than an individual, Marasi says as much in TLM, whereas Steel must be towards an object. That's not true, Bendalloy burns incredibly quickly(burn rate is proportional to amount of investiture needed) and it is also affected by the speed factor of the bubble, so they would run out of bendalloy very quickly. Mistborn can't return their inestiture to the jar though, once they take it in they have to use it. Yes they do You're still going to lose your hand doing that.
