You want to build an aluminum cage the size of a building around them by the time they get out of the cadmium bubble? I feel like even with dor they could still get to the edge before you were done, or kill the misting, whichever is closer to them.

You my friend are not creating an evil plan you are creating madness and I am here for it.
-
I think Taln shows why that would not work. He's basically incapacitated 99% of the time, and can still obliterate armies if they look at him the wrong way.
-
They honestly might be invested enough to be immune. If not, probably would work like a much weaker version of what Ishar did to Kaladin and Nale

WaT showed us that Chasmfiends went to the shattered plains to use the power of Odium's perpendicularity to undergo their metamorphosis. Dawnshard showed us that the Lanceryn went to Aimia to use the power of the Dawnshard for the same reason. So that leaves us with a pattern, where two of the largest greatshells on Roshar go to various fonts of external power to reach their large sizes. One however stands as an interesting exception: The Tai-na, the Reshi isle greatshells. Despite being much larger than the other greatshells, we have no particular source of power for their transformation. Some possibilities for this power source include: Honor's perpendicularity: it moves around like the Tai-na do, and it rejects the touch of humans, but not necessarily of the Tai-na. Another Dawnshard: we know that there were multiple on Roshar at one point. Wind/Stone/Night: Possible, but I think highly unlikely. As for my thoughts: I'm honestly not sure. I am convinced however that there is some source of enormous power within the Reshi sea.

The first time he did, but he also admits at the end that Riina could possibly have cursed him again, even with him being an Elantrian himself at that point. Which is part of why I said to have the aons pre-written

I didn't say it was without risk, and that is a huge issue. It's just the best thing I can possibly think of. Well the Sorceress was capable of taking out Hoid, so they could do that.

I'll make as close to a full analysis as I believe possible. 1. Objective: Kill or at least incapacitate a Herald 2. Problems Given the strength of the Heralds I would give them 7-9/10 odds against Rashek, depending on which one. Now how do you deal with that? 3. Strategies: I recommend ignoring killing them altogether and focus on capture or incapacitation. Anti-light will not solve our issues, as Taln showed us Heralds are more than capable of catching projectiles, and the absolute last thing you want to do is get in a physical altercation with them. So what can we do? We need the ability to act from a distance, with enough overwhelming power that even Heralds would be hard pressed to escape. There are only a handful of powers in the comere capable of such feats, but the ghostbloods have shown they have one. The first thing we do in this situation, is recruit Shai. Shai with her new soulstamp is capable of making herself an Elantrian, which is one of our main focuses. However it won't be enough, we give her a unit of unkeyed Dor, but we have to make sure she can act before the Heralds can. Our next goal is to get a medallion for F-steel, and f-Zinc, both of which will be crucial for this operation. When fully prepared Shai will be an Elantrian capable of moving at high speeds and thinking even faster. However this still will not be enough, we need the element of surprise. The final piece of the puzzle, is to recruit an enlightened inkspren from Sja-anat. With this we will wait in the CR until our desired time, before quickly jumping over and executing a pre-written aon command, aiming to take the Herald out before anything happens. Even with all of this, pray the Herald isn't Kalak, Batar, Ash, or Ishar, or they might see you coming. Which is a lot of preparation for only a 6/10 success rate.

Huh, I thought Kaladin specifically couldn't inhale stormlight from spheres while he was Underwater in RoW. I'll have to double check that
-
Given that only worked because Jezrien was out of his mind drunk, and how Heralds calling on the powers of Roshar can move at speeds comparable to steelrunners, I don't think that's going to work. I mean just look at Ishar, he took on five Windrunners trained by Kaladin at once and beat all of them, and he was merely average.
-
Anti-tank weapons are way more complicated than you might think. Note that shardplate exploding outward is a form of explosive reactive armor, and one they can likely improve upon. How so? Raysium daggers touch anti-voidlight multiple times in RoW with no issues. Shardshields would be unaffected. I did think of a new use for blackbane though, mostly because of their ability to attack the nervous system, which if done effectively enough could stop a radiant from inhaling storm/tower/war light.
-
I'd agree that anti-tank weapons could do the job, but here we weren't talking about anti-tank weapons, just standard guns. Really only Taldain might, have anti-tank weapons right now. Shardshields. I'd agree, but I feel the same archetype will stick around

A fair analysis, though I have to say: forget the UN, the US Military could take on the entire world at once and still win, it's not close. However we aren't talking about the entire US military as I understand it, just a single carrier group, which again undefeated but much much easier to deal with. And actually, as I'm thinking about this I think I can come up with a few other tricks that Roshar could use, mostly involving Elsecallers. 1. Elsegate Radiants to right on top of strategic points, or ships and let them out inside the US battle lines. 2. Go to the CR and soulcast the ships from that side. Which is honestly a win condition that you can't match.

I'd agree with @therunner that just adding aluminum would not make it that much deadlier. However I think it would still be useful in slowing the radiant down, as based on how long it took(shoot what was Lady Sadeas's first name again?) to die it appears to be a very fast acting neurotoxin. It likely would heal quickly as the aluminum and blackbane separated, but it could be a form of quick but temporary paralysis. @Qianweilian I have to disagree with those numbers for fourth ideal Radiants however, yes Wax can break plate in 2-3 shots, but Wax can also tap Iron and burn steel to get more power out of his shots.
-
This is actually my preferred anti-radiant tactic now, especially since the aluminum has an aura disruption affect.
-
I'd doubt it. You could possibly make breath work like a spren, but you would need a lot.
-
That's more of what I was looking for. Blackbane is most effective as a gum injected into the bloodstream, I doubt the smoke from it would be very potent, though it would be worth it for an elsecaller to experiment. That's honestly a pretty good idea.
-
That's honestly one of my preferred strategies for Elsecallers, specifically something like mustard or phosgene gas, which would just kill everyone except the radiant. However Roshar doesn't have access to too many toxic gases at the moment, so I think Truthberry smoke would be the most helpful, but I think oil would be better for the moment.
-
How are you better at explaining my own ideas than I am? That's actually perfect. Well @Immortal Platypus and @KnightSkye Reforged I'd say something like this here, with Medallions or surge fabrials they can effectively be counted as allomancers/squires with some tweaks, and so I'd say that whether you consider them to be uninvested individuals in their own right, just to keep the math simple we can consider them as modified versions of the original Invested individuals with their own coefficient of Hazekillers. Well I don't know so much about working against supported shardbearers. It seems that unless they have a shardbearer or invested individuals themselves they don't seem to try chains or nets too often. I see it more as a way to interrupt a shardbear so that your fighter has an advantage, more than a win condition on its own. True, though I honestly don't know where to put them. They kind of exist in their own category to me. Yes but unlike Elsecallers it's really easy for them to slip back and forth to the CR, so they could grab someone and dip and then mess with their Connection until they obey the Bondsmith and then do it again. Not to mention they have full lashings, which really allow for a lot of battlefield control when you are on the ground. Perhaps not as skilled as Pozen, but I don't think Jasnah is entirely off the table. True she has almost ten years of experience by the end of the books, but she also had to teach herself a lot of that. I don't think it would be too difficult to imagine them performing Jasnah's oil trick from RoW where they turn the air to oil and then burn it.

Exactly, yes. Why thank you.

Do you want to know? Once you learn the forbidden knowledge it cannot be undone. You're sure? Okay.

It's not the human hunting it's the fact that between the humans and the singers they are taking every single one. The pupating chasmfiends the humans don't take the Parshendi do and vice versa. They share equal guilt. You misinterpret what I was saying. When the war started it was about vengeance, before gemhearts and the shattered plains even came into the equation. Back when they would have (based on the Sunmaker) walked in, torched the capital and taken over. By the time of WoK(and probably within the first year of the war) vengeance is no longer a part of the equations and they only care about the gemhearts. That's why when the Parshendi stopped coming to fight in WoR only Dalinar really sees an issue. Hoid is also Yollish. All the original vessels, Hoid, Frost, they're all Yolish so far as Brandon has revealed.

Well in WaT he rarely flies and when he does he's with Szeth who does not have plate and they're trying to stay together. They can manipulate air pressure, they don't need wings 1. The Final Empire is the perfect example of this, skaa are not hazekillers. The same role that hazekillers fill in the Final empire would be the same role that these hypothetical fighters would in any army. 2. Skaa made up a decent part of the army Well I'd say moving faster than sound and making a sonic boom would be easier for spren of wind to find. And Syl could easily find Milkweed in WoK, and that's just one spren, not the thousands that make up the armor. Well they really shouldn't be affected by g-forces just on the physics of it, but Brandon has mildly implied that their perception can cause them to have such effects. But regardless, between air pressure manipulation and lashings, yes they can preform such turns. Huh, cool. I'll have to get my hands on that. No clue in that case, probably even more like aetherbound then. What do you think would be a good number? I was imagining them to have at least some combat experience, but even for non-combat focused elantrians I'd imagine they have some form of shielding if for nothing else than to prevent accidents. That is a good point, I might over rely on Adolin and Dalinar. I'd say if they have horses, or the ability to bind the chains down that could be rather effective, but I honestly think that the strength of shardplate would make getting pinned down really difficult. As for Orders, I honestly can't think of a single order that I can consider to be of any lesser threat than the others. Bondsmiths of course being greater than the others.

If it can't be Kaladin wouldn't be able to fly with it. It would require a 10x upward lashing on himself just to float, but in RoW he's casually flying through Urithiru with it, despite the suppression still being up. And since it's attuned to his Identity it should work Additionally the Dustbringer in the Thunderclast vision uses Abrasion on the outside of her plate. On the contrary SotD 2/I think this became IotED Counter Moons are several thousands of KM away, he needs to be moving at supersonic to hypersonic speeds to make that. The only places in the Cosmere with access to guns have pretty easy access to guns for everyone. Spren have the ability to find things far away, they could easily track it down. And as I've said before you can beat anyone by simply teleporting behind them and shooting them, or shooting them from so far out of range they can't hit you as the case may be. Yes but then the Skybreaker gets to bring their own fighter jet and so on and so forth and we just end up with a full on war discussion. Which if you want to start a thread for I'm down, but this is not the thread for that. They can immediately make 90+ degree turns in any direction, up, down, left, right, anything. Their turn radius is the size of their body. That's insane, beyond anything a fighter jet could replicate. See above on speeds. Hey Nerdy I've missed you. Why thank you I had hoped as much. I was thinking along those lines, probably should have been more specific. Good thing we aren't talking about any of those places. That's a pretty interesting question:
