Interstellar space is virtually non-existent in the CR, and it's probably the largest populated area there I'd bet any native Cognitive entity could point you in the right direction.
-
Marsh wasn't out of Atiim, he was just getting close. Inquisitors by their natures have to rest for long periods of time, and the amount of time increases as they age.

I feel this on almost every level. NaNoWriMo and New Sanderson releases do not mix well.

Could harmonium make you a feruchemist?
Frustration replied to Vin(Diesel)'s topic in Cosmere Discussion
Given the process we saw in TLM I'd say any spike could hold multiple charges, perhaps even multiple different ones.- 30 replies

Could harmonium make you a feruchemist?
Frustration replied to Vin(Diesel)'s topic in Cosmere Discussion
I would rather have magic than be mentally and physically better. And Atium has all in Hemalurgy and we don't know what it does in Allomancy or Feruchemy.- 30 replies

Even in spoiler boxes TLM must be confined solely to the spoiler forum.

Could harmonium make you a feruchemist?
Frustration replied to Vin(Diesel)'s topic in Cosmere Discussion
Why on earth would that be the case? Lerasium is the best allomantic metal. Atium is the best Hemalurgic metal. Why would Lerasium also be the best feruchemic metal?- 30 replies

Scadrial vs. Roshar post Lost metal.
Frustration replied to Frustration's topic in Cosmere Discussion
How would he do that without killing himself? In order to hold it in place he would need an immovable anchor, which means that the entire force of the ship is focused on him. There's no way he survives that. If you can shoot a rocket to Mars you can shoot one to Alpha Centauri. It would just take more time. 1. It's similar to Oathgates so it's instantaneous, and distance is irrelevant because there is no place in the SR. 2. Why would it need Shardaic aid? Bondsmiths can interact with all orders and surges(RoW 237). Not that different. Gaseous Investiture that responds to Tones, can be used as fuel, and comes from a source that can't enter buildings. He hasn't bonded it through. And have you read the SA 5 sample chapters? Which will reveal them. Um, no. Even if they were 2cm^3(roughly the size of a 2x2 Lego brick) they would be a 1,000 times more powerful, easily able to take out entire streets. -
Could harmonium make you a feruchemist?
Frustration replied to Vin(Diesel)'s topic in Cosmere Discussion
We don't even know what Pure Atium does in Allomancy and Feruchemy, but here's what we do know. Lerasium let's anyone burn any metal allomantically Atium let's anyone steal anything Hemalurgically. Therefore Harmonium should let anyone store anything feruchmically.- 30 replies

Could harmonium make you a feruchemist?
Frustration replied to Vin(Diesel)'s topic in Cosmere Discussion
The table is an in universe creation as stated here: Brandon knows more than anyone in world. And no Lerasium does not steal everything only the strength/emotional fortitude/mental fortitude etc things that aren't powers- 30 replies

Yet Atium when used as a spike can steal anything, but Lerasium cannot. So under that model Harmonium makes far more sense for the store anything metal.- 30 replies

Scadrial vs. Roshar post Lost metal.
Frustration replied to Frustration's topic in Cosmere Discussion
They would have to go eventually, but I doubt they would help the north. The only reason they cared about the bombs was that they could use it to get the bands. I do not recall Harmony saying "you can stop the ship without duralumin" For future reference if you want to argue that something can't be used in a similar manner to how it has already been shown to work burden of proof is on you. Instances like this is just asking your opponent to prove a negative. But in this case yes I do have proof, because the portals work like Oathgates and go through the SR Aside from the visual similarities and the fact that those two orders are the ones with Transformation, and that they used the Oathgates as a way to learn how to make surge fabrials with Radiant spren, no. So if you want to split it but think that maybe it will only make Atium it will? How does that work? Perception is powerful but that's asking a lot. All metallic arts are powered by Harmony. But even if they needed the Tone of Preservation for whatever reason they can just split it like they do with towerlight. Decently powerful. Enough to overcome a Radiant in Urithiru no. Ilaytil was impressed by Shallan's ability to get into Dalinar's camp, they aren't that competent. How much Voidlight did they mix it with? And even if Gavilar's sphere was a broam that's 2^3 millimeters. Given standard density of air that's only about .0001225 g. Even assuming 100% reaction that's about 2 tons of TNT. That's a bit more than a room but with sturdy stone walls it likely wouldn't spread much beyond a single room. -

Brandon has said she could do it if she knew how. Yes we do, Brandon has said it would take 2-3 shots to the same section of plate to break it. Scadrians airships don't have any weapons with serious recoil, they are too light to handle it. My point with that statement is that unification of either side is equally unlikely. If you want to keep the factions as they currently stand that is fine, and I will agree to it. However that means that the north has no airships, a single skimmer, only a handful of medallions, maybe a dozen or so grenades, and only a limited amount of Harmonium with no way to get more, and the Malwish will not help them. Or we can assume both sides are unified, which I think is more fun, but I will allow you to choose. Elend could not have done that without duralumin. Do you have any evidence for the distance being too great? And the spren are just light and Inkspren, though they have been increased in size. And they call the Sibling "Parent" not Honor, but the Sibling. Source? Singers should be able to hear it, and if need be they could get the mists to listen to. She knows their top operatives, and has ten years to hunt them. And it's really hard to kill a Knight. Anti-light is more powerful than anti-matter according to Brandon. It's not just more powerful than what Scadrial has it's a candle next to the sun. -
He only has 21 spikes actually, and several of those are repeated.

The Malwish and North will not unite in the face invasion. Autonomy almost invaded and the Malwish used it as an opportunity to get the bands. -
Scadrial vs. Roshar post Lost metal.
Frustration replied to Frustration's topic in Cosmere Discussion
They don't need a perimeter that big, They just need to destroy railways that far out, Scadrians don't have the ability to move large numbers of men quickly otherwise. The range is determined by the size of the gemstones, so larger ones will fix the issue. And No, they don't have to be Tai-na sized the Siblings ones were only as big as a couple of fists. And with the knowlege the Rosharans have with Intent and Tones they can easily adjust them to suppress Metalborn. Spren volunteer to become fabrials, and with the Siblings help they could easily be reproduced. How are they going to move a generator of sufficient size? And the first Windrunner that looks at them will kill them. Yes he did, Raboniel said he mentioned using the opposite of Honor to destroy him. They fight each other(WoR 184) and they do die near enough to the surface that people can still live on their corpse. It doesn't matter how hard it is, with Cohesion you can try as many times as you want, possibly even actively having the gemstone take perfect shape. How are ghostbloods going to get their own spren? If it does happen kill them in a sufficiently brutal way that none of the others are willing to try it, and open a Bondsmith portal and do it again. He is going to use it to make Atium, Marsh is using it to make Atium. Unless there is an imbalance one of them would discover the Lerasium pretty quickly. It would be a stupid lie to make. That's a rather large assumption. They have dozens of Willshapers, and Elsecallers will become more prominent. Yes, that's why dozens of Honorspren immediately decided to go with Adolin and find knights. That's not something anyone with less power than TLR could do without Duralumin. And it was a 1/100 chance. Zero evidence against it. What technology? Open a portal, dig it up and bring it through. Neither will the Malwish help the north. And the ghostbloods will likely wait until the last possible second to do anything using it as a way to bring in a new member. Do you have any evidence against it? Well I do, that's what this thread was for. Multiple Elsecallers who immediately Soulcast anyone who attacks them, and anyone too invested for that gets trapped in aluminum. Kelsier couldn't make it past the Suppressors, Kandra are virtually useless as they can't imitate anyone important, and will be immediately spotted. There are no supplyines, just a direct route from their frontline to Urithiru. Release it from the CR. And the gem used to kill Raboniel was only partially filled, and she only lived because she can heal. A single gram of Stormlight-Anti-stormlight is over 178Million Kilotons of TNT that's more powerful than any nuclear bomb ever designed. It would take fist sized gems at most to make. Innocents? The home-base of the people engaging in nightly assassination of their leaders according to your battle plans? The ones who tried to kill their queen and have been meddling on their world for years? The ones planning to control them? Those innocents? Actually SA5 is before AoL As stated above TLM is ten years or so ahead of SA 5. grenades are pretty rare and Chromium mistings more so. Stormlight in aluminum lined pounches would be unaffected, and Sprensheilds can defend a radiant while they replenish. -
Scadrial vs. Roshar post Lost metal.
Frustration replied to Frustration's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Oh, and an unstable shard who is slowly descending towards Discord won't change their minds? Regardless Rysn is Rosharan That is enough One of the main points of SA5 is restoring his mind. Regardless he's rosharan, that is enough. If Taravangian's plan works out he gets out of the deal and can leave. I doubt that Taravangian will feel similarly inhibited So Rosharan victory either way. That won't let you run 100s of miles, find the oathgate, and get back at such speeds that Windrunners couldn't stop you. Additionally a single full lashing and you die, and they'll lose their powers once they enter the suppression fabrial's range. He told them about axi, hinted towards anti-investiture, gave them Raysium etc The KR lead by Cultivation, and maybe new Honor. No need to kill the Tai-na, they'd likely be too big to bother with anyway. The Reshi seafloor is likely littered with gemhearts from ones that have already died. Soulcast a stone pillar to the bottom and have stonewards use cohesion to have the stone lead them to where the gemhearts are at so they can be collected. At least, and you could combine them to make them bigger. Jasnah says that almost all spheres are poorly cut and leak stormlight quickly. I cannot find the quote right now, but I'll look into it more Simple, Set up base somewhere far from Elendel, and then send a skybreaker along the nearby railroad using their blade like a snowplow breaking them apart. Moving at 200+ mph they could easily maintain a border that far out. If any harmonium/trellium explosion created Lerasium what would be the point in lying? Kelsier will test it anyway and he would find out, or Marsh will tell him because he's using it to make Atium. And how did the Set not notice? There is more Ruin in Harmony than Preservation, that excess means that Atium is produced unless you do some sort of trick that Wax did on accident there isn't any lerasium produced. Even in the Sibling gemstones can be removed and added, they can simply be replaced. I don't think they have guns, or a least they didn't until after BoM. No, they can easily get back and forth Jasnah just doesn't know how, which is to be expected if her first time going all the way to the CR was that time on the Winds Pleasure. That helps Roshar more than it does Scadrial. Radiants don't need to breathe, but Scadrians do. They've been spying on the north for years, and they aren't that hard to use: point at enemy, pull trigger. They aren't much more that a high powered crossbow. There will be especially with the Recreance revilations in RoW. I don't recall him being boosted Not Roshar, with a Bondsmith and an Elsecaller they can make interplanetary portals. Rosharan plan to invade Scadrial. Move the Oathgate from Akkina to Urithiru Gather the perfectly cut Tai-na gemhearts, Radiants, Thunderclast, Suppression and Death Fabrials etc. And Remove everyone's connection to Roshar allowing them to leave. Use Bondsmith Elsecalling to open a portal to Tinweight Bombard the city with lashed rocks until they capitulate Move in and set up the Akkina Oathgate in the city Send an Oath 5 Skybreaker, and maybe some support to destroy all of the railraods, starting with the one leading towards Elendel. Once a sufficient barrier has been made take out the rest of them At the same time send multiple Elsecallers and Windrunners to Harmony's perpendicularity, and have all the Elsecallers work together(Which is possible according to OB 560) to make a massive Stone barrier over the perpendicularity. With that done Roshar holds the CR, and Eneldel's ability to fight on either from had been crippled, allowing Roshar to take over the roughs, and several surrounding owns easily. Build a massive Anti-stormlight bomb and drop it on Elendel destroying the city. Accept Scadrian surrender. -
The purified for is used to sustain her transformation so I'd say once it runs out the stamp will end.
-
I would say the catch is that the aether armor requires a continuous imput of new Investiture, while live shardplate will function forever so long as it isn't damaged.

I think that Wax is the only one who has made it and Harmony legitimately doesn't know why.

Scadrial vs. Roshar post Lost metal.
Frustration replied to Frustration's topic in Cosmere Discussion
They don't need to give it to them, Change is already in Rosharan hands. Autonomy I could understand, but Odium is Rosharan, and Dalinar has that power. It currently is in Rosharan hands, if you want it to be disconsidered you have to prove that it won't be Alright then Odium kills Harmony, separates his power, takes up Ruin and destroys the planet. The size of the metalminds needed would be incredible, it would take years to fill them enough for that to be viable. Two actually, possibly three depending on how SA 5 works out. They already know about them, and the Reshi know about the gemhearts. Brandon described the eye of a Tai-na as the size of a house(WoR 194). The average house in Utah is roughly 32,270 cubic feet, which would make the gemhearts around 29,000 KG depending on what polestone they were. Since cut gemstones hold more stormlight, and most spheres are cut horribly, this will easily be orders of magnitude more than your estimates. The amount of time needed will easily be enough to create a border several miles out. Kelsier says multiple times that Sazed is a horrible lier, and he told Wax that his experiment was different. Do you have any evidence that Sazed is lying? He just raided the gemstone reserve. If the Oathgate spren we're in gemstones why do they manifest in the CR, and how did the Fused not realize that unmade could be trapped? Additionally why would the Sibling be upset at trapping spren in gemstones? And what is the metal made from then? I never got the impression that the Malwish were technologically advanced. Or an Elsecaller, or a Willshaper.
