  1. Wax can't see the bands of mourning, and shardblades are far more invested.
  2. The spikeway is probably the fastest we see a mistborn go, and Kelsier and Vin don't mention anything about the wind, so I doubt they even get to the high tens of miles per hour. Only if they have inquisitor steelsight.
  3. No, it does things metalborn can't without the machine. If you charge it with aluminum it creates a bubble where you can't use Allomancy
  4. Rosharans are easily almost a foot or more taller than Scadrians, even with pewter they would only be a but stronger, not enough to crush them. No they aren't. Terminal velocity is much faster than any mistborn could achieve without duralumin. If they swallowed a decent amount of gold beforehand they might be able to use that as a buffer as leeching takes non-invested metals before invested ones. The only question is whether or not it will burn away metals if someone can't use them. I doubt they could get in range for that, especially with the radiant being taller.
  5. How would you keep them from making progress? Windrunners are faster, so you can't outrun them, they have shardblades so you can't barricade yourself, and they have spren so you can't hide.
  6. The primer cubes do a lot of things regular metalborn can't such as supress invested arts. Now, it might be possible to use leeching at range, but I think that would require some hacks in the magic system to do.
  7. Um, not really. The scene you are talking about(WoK 898-899) Has Dalinar hit twice by head-sized stones thrown by warform parshendi, and his armor only puffs stormlight on the first hit, and gets only tiny cracks on the second. Coins can't even break wooden sheilds, shardplate wouldn't notice and since the plate is heavier than the mistborn they will be sent flying. And since living shardplate doesn't require stormlight to function there's no reason to constantly be expending it.
  8. Simple solution, go to the Nightwatcher and ask her for the ability to infuse gemstones with Stormlight. Speaking of which the Nightwatcher solves like all of Roshar's problems. Scadrial has guns? Ask the nightwatcher for the ability to make better ones. Running low on gemstones? Ask the Nightwatcher for large perfect ones. It only needs to get past the point where the rounds are exploding, even if it felt the sock-wave from one of the rounds it would have plenty of time to correct. Why would he ask people to keep an eye out for Tukari? Just because on the off chance that Ishar decided for no known reason to Kalak to reclaim his honorblade after 4,500 years, he would use it to make a perpendicularity in order to send Tukari to kidnap spren? Even if we assume Kalak somehow considered Ishar reclaiming his Honorblade possible, why would he suspect that Ishar would send Tukari to the CR? Why would there be? To our understanding the words of founding were more religious, historical, and political. Not one to my recollection is about war. When she was leaving that one mansion before she got shot in the head. Stormlight itself has mass, there is no need for anything extra there. And Shallan often makes illusions for things she hasn't drawn in weeks, like Veil for instance. She provided Telsin the next steps, Telsin confirms this, she sees what they need to do. However Telsin isn't the one building the rockets so there is a delay between her knowledge and the scientists practice. Shards grant their holder an intuitive understanding of magic and physics. She could easily figure out everything there is to know about harmonium by thinking about it. Why would they use Bilming's power? They need the bomb in Elendel. And EWax's detonation was much smaller than what the set was trying, they needed more Harmonium, and thus more electricity in order to pull it apart. But Harmonium is nuclearly stable, and Trellium isn't radioactive. Not to mention the fact that no one experiences radiation poisoning. The difference here is that with Bondsmithing there is no distinction between concept and practice. Touch something, reveal Connections, grab and move as you see fit. And while yes each spren is different, as are the specific manifestations of their powers, the basic priciples are the same. So instead of a map of Roshar Navani and Shallan would make a map of Urithiru.
  9. No they couldn't. The Nex-im require a perpendicularity to cross realms, and the barrier storm around Braize's CR would prevent them from leaving. With Radiant transportation yes, the Nex-im can't however. They only would have had the opportunity during a desolation, where they spend most of the time fighting, and I doubt there is a perpendicularity on Ashyn
  10. I cannot tell you how happy it makes me that I'm filling the same role R'Shara did when I first joined.
  11. TLM finally delivered in text proof that aluminum isn't Adonalsium's shardmetal.
  12. Shardmetals are matter, but they aren't quite the same, they are regular atoms that have been so suffused with Investiture their properties have changed.
  13. The Heralds names are symmetrical, they just have a tittle added on the end. They can see cryptics moving, and they have sand to find them. It's kind of the people they killed kind of not. They hurt themselves so badly by doing killing that they are hearing screams from the Spiritual Realm. The Fused are called that because the Fused's soul fuses to a singers body. They have surges as an inherent part of their nature.
  14. He's so simple, most characters these days feel like they have miles worth of problems and twenty-three different motivations for everything. It was kind of refreshing to have someone without all the angst. Just to show what I'm talking about: Spoilers for WoK Prime It's not to say Kaladin is bad, I really like him, but I found Merin's simplicity relaxing, ordinary as it was. Does that make any sense?
  15. Around 7,000 years How would they have gotten there?
  16. Mistborn's magic system is the only interesting thing about it's world.
  17. Stormlight can easily be generated, Even for modern countries you can't just replace artillery pieces like that. And how many would they need to actually make a half-decent barrier? Tens of thousands at the least. And you can't redirect the boulders as they will be pulled towards where the artillery is, and you can't hit them because you can't aim artillery that quickly. Because if Kalak was so desperate that he would tell people to be on the lookout for people from the same country that Ishar is currently in, he would have spoken to him during the previous thousand years. Back to sleep in ten minuets? That's not realistic for brand new recruits during their first time at war. And they would make a lot of mistakes like only having two guards with no night patrol, especially at first, because they've never been to war before. And why would they abandon it on the spot when they can still complete the mission without risk? It wouldn't be huge, just a sphere around their head. Taln's mind was restored because a radiant ideal was said, just like how Nale's mind was restored at the end of Edgedanncer. And Illumination doesn't use the CR, so the realms being close doesn't matter for it. Not necessarily. As long as it causes some form of distress it pushes Dalinar closer to breaking. Even the memory of trauma can be enough at times. And considering that Dalinar was practically comatose for the next week I'd say that it was effective. Compare the time at Vedenar to Theylan city. At Vedenar Dalinar feels the Thrill, Taravangian approaches him with a moral dilemma, and Dalinar is excommunicated. At Theylan City the secrets of the Recreance, the visions with Odium, and the Highking come out. Each time it is three problems, and Taravangian is behind them. Additionally Taravangian is working with Odium, if Nahel spren could be imprisoned in gems that easily they wouldn't have needed to make ani-stormlight. And Raboniel has studied modern fabrials, so there is no way she wouldn't know about it. Even if your professor teaches you all the mechanics of something doesn't mean you can put it into practice. The Set's scientists are all essentially college graduates, who had just been hired to build rockets. They might understand all the principles, but they don't have the experience to put it into practice. Where'd you get that? When Wax and Steris are talking about shipping the bomb into Elendel Wax says that the largest thing is the generator, because the amount of electricity needed exceeds industrial cables limits, so they couldn't get the electricity from the city. And you know for a fact that it is fission because? Even if somehow over ten years they didn't get a single squire there are two bondsmiths, and I highly doubt one attack would kill both of them. So the one left an teach new ones, or they could write a book about it. Or countless other ways to preserve their knowledge.
  18. Sorry about this, I really need to rant, and don't know where to put it.

I really need to get a reddit account.  Half of the questions didn't deserve to be asked during a spoiler stream.

"Is stick an avatar of Autonomy?" Come on people! I know it's funny to you but you have dozebs of streams to ask your joke questions, I only get two steams a year to get spoiler questions asked, just let me have this!

@Ookla the Omniscient I have to hand it to you, even I didn't see that one. Perhaps your username also has some truth to it?

      I forgot the spoiler stream?

      NOOOOOOOOO

  19. It would be easier to detonate a bomb on every city ten times over than to ignite the atmosphere.
  20. Skimmer - energy generation.
  21. Or she resupplies frequently.
  22. Do I have to adhere to all the Oaths? Because that's way to restrictive. And do I have unchained Bondsmth powers? Because I don't trust myself with those. If I have no oaths, but only have chained bondsmith powers give me the surges. Otherwise I might have to fo with fullborn.
  23. She also comments on how much that is, so they don't carry that much around normally.
  24. I liked how Cosmere aware this book was. I know that in the beginning it was necessary to keep the worlds apart, but we passed that point years ago and I'm looking foward to how this progresses.
  25. I found this old post from shortly after Words of Radiance.

It's a comedic prediction about Stones Unhallowed, which was the working tittle for OB at the time.

It's hilarious, and a surprising amount of it is true.

      I-

I want to see a movie made of those ideas.

      I really do.

      But like-

      that was beautiful.
