Oh, I want referring to the spores, I meant the original Aether strains.

You know what, Mistnumber has been infinite for way too long. Also I just had a thought. Time to make it bigger. You can burn feruchemically and Hemalurgically charged metals for different effects. So that tipples our current infinity. Now you unfortunately can't alloy charged metals, so that's the extent of the increase.

Neither are you then. You've all seen the Mistborn vs. Radiant type threads, what are your thoughts on the threads themselves?

Robin, get your camera out of my house.

@Channelknight Fadran this is an intervention.

I like that they nerfed Intrepid sword, even for me that was broken, but Dauntless Shield did not deserve the same treatment.

Frustration's Firepower Index: Threnody

The Shades did exist before, but so did Cognitive Shadows from the Homeland, which I do not think would count as shades. -
Is there anything Bondsmiths can't do?

We all have that happen at some point. I don't know, but it is theoretically possible for their spren to from blades. Additional investiture giving the blade sentience. Honorblades are self aware. -

That's a good point I'm going to put that under the Inteligence section when I get around to it. -

Do the Shades exist in the CR, I can't find anything confirming that. I know that the IRE was watching for Threnodite CS, but that was also before the Evil came, and given Nahz's statements they had ways to turn people into CS back then. -

That is a good point, I'll add it to my to do list. -

I'm currently not weighing the rankings based on how they stack up against any particular world, as that would change far too often. I'm pretty sure their armed forces have the second highest score. -

Are you arguing for increasing their armed forces score or their offenses score? -

Yeah, Shallan flashbacks were rather boring in my opinion. -

They arleady count for the same amount guns do. If they were more modern missiles I'd agree with you they should be higher, but there are a few problems: Their missiles need to be manually aimed right now, and with an army only 10,000 strong I don't think they have the ability to hit enemy positions especially without endangering their own troops. Defensively at least. Offensively they have more ability to be used, but they'd have to transport everything needed for a launch, and then to also scout out positions and make the calculations for their targets. Additionally they have a limited carrying capacity, being unable to carry Harmonium+Trellium bombs. When they get computers and satelites or the ability to carry Harmonium+Trellium explosives I think they'd definately deserve to be weighted more heavily, however right now I think they'd take too long to aim, and be too low yield to be weighed any more heavily. -
I think there was one time we almost got a week. There were others were you would win for a few minutes at most. *wins*

Check out "The Ultimate Metal Count" thread in the Mistborn forum. I'll let you see the shenanigans that ensued.

No idea. It wouldn't permanently make them Mistborn, but they could use the mist to replicate any metal yes. -

Well, no more than burning wood takes matter away from the planet. It won't be wood again for a long time, and for the moment the overall amount of wood is lower, but eventually it will come back. Well shardblades are an honor+cultivation alloy, but yes. Yes Well shardblades are sentient, so their more invested, and the lerasium beads are mere drops in a ocean that is Preservation's power. Probably not, as Brandon has hinted that Shardblades require sentience. Preservation could have done more, but didn't. Yes. They are I'm not sure, but I think Roshar just has weaker realmatic barriers, that's why so species have shadows that react to cognitive rules, or singers can hear the Spiritual realm. -
Well, he can't kill anyone, so that doesn't mean much.

Alright, I guess I can go through Shards 101. First let's define some terms The Shard - The actual power, and a sixteenth of the power of Adonalsium The Vessel - The mind who controls the Shard The body of a shard - a Philosophical way to describe a shards power So there was Adonalsium, we don't know where he came from, that's a whole can of worms for later. And he controlled all the investiture in the cosmere, which is a small star cluster. The amount of investiture was finite, but there is so outrageously much of it that it might as well be infinite. A bunch of people got together and killed Adonalsium taking his power for themselves. They got 1/16th of the whole power, anything used becomes matter or energy, or is expended, the shard never loses investiture, but it can become inaccessible for them. When a shard is splintered it can still exist, but can no longer be held by a vessel. Does that make sense?
