    I'm convinced that quantum physics is actually easy to understand, but they make it sound complicated so that they seem smart.

     

    Me: So what's spin?

    Everything I found trying to explain quantum mechanics: spin is a fundamental part of a particle

    Me: yeah, but what does it do?

    Them: it's like angular momentum

    Me: yeah but how does a particle with a spin of 1 behave differently from a particle with a spin of 0 or 1/2?

    Them: spin is a fundamental part of a particle.

    Me::angry:

    1. Enter a username

      Enter a username

      And then they’ll tell you that it’s not actual spin, which isn’t confusing at all.

      And it’s the same deal with “color”
