Ask me anything cosmere related (spoilers)

I think Ryshadium are. I'm fairly certain that others given a specific level of intelligence and awareness of itself could. A good example would be the kandra. We kinow that they could theoretically bond spren, but I guarantee you a mistwraith wouldn't be able to do that. I'm sure there are animals that are sentient enough to be able to bond spren -

Ooooh, I see. Well, the two are sort of related. I imagine it has to have a perpendicularity to run. But even if it doesn't need one, one will most likely be made, unless the warp drives are entirely technological which I kinda doubt. Yes, that was what I was thinking. And now I'm just imagining Syl becoming a spren on the level of the Stormfather. -

A spren if the user takes up a Shard will probably do one of two things. Either stay the exact same, or become immensely more powerful. Or maybe the Shard holder can choose to.supercharge their spren. Era 4 ships will absolutely have some way of warping through space without going through the CR. It would be too inconvenient for everyone en masse to just use Shadesmar to travel, and I don't see how he could make a Scifi story without having his characters use ships of some kind. Plus it will give a possible way for the people of Sel to travel around, since at current it's impossible thanks to the state of the CR. Possible, though I doubt all of them. If there is only one, it's probably the weapon that splinters Shards (since iirc Odium has something like that). But I'm not ruling out that there are more. Animal Radiants are absolutely gonna be possible, but I think it's a matter of intelligence. I think it would have to intelligent enough that it knows its swearing an oath. -

One I've mentioned in the "What is your wildest cosmere theory thread" would be Hoid being a dragon, or the Diagram being a convoluted plan by Cultivation to defeat Odium. As for ships, I'm not really a shipper, but the best I got is Kaladin/Adolin, because they're just so gay for each other. It's very obvious. Kaladin is just a tsundere. -
I'm bored and wanna talk cosmere, so ask my anything. Theories, hopes, opinions, feelings, etc.

I don't know if I'm forgetting something obvious or what, but I don't remember why Vin has the ability to burn the mists. I initially thought it was because she was the Hero of Ages, but she wasn't so that's not the case. I looked on both Vin's page and on the page for the mists on Coppermind and only saw a mention of "some Allomancers can draw on the mists for power", which doesn't really answer the question. It does say that it can function incidentally as a fuel for allomancy, but why is it only certain people who can do this? Why can Vin do this but Elend, or Kelsier, or Shan Elariel, or anyone else that we know can't? Is it just because Preservation chose her to be able to do it?

It all really depends on his goal. Hoid may not call himself a good person, but judging on his motive, he could well be even if he does have to do things not traditionally considered good. He may see himself as a bad person because he doesn't like doing what he does, but I don't ultimately think that him calling himself a bad person means he is. Kaladin and Teft are both Windrunnrrs though. Their whole oaths are based on protecting people who can't protect themselves. Someone not following that does not necessarily make them a bad person. When it comes to Rashek, there is a difference between him and Hoid. He had a just goal and wanted the best for the world, but he also let his own dislike of humans get in the way. He didn't have to enslave the skaa. That is unnecessary to his goal. That's the difference. With Hoid, so far, nothing is personal. The treatment of the skaa was absolutely personal to Rashek. I think a more accurate point of comparison would be Amaram.

What is your Wildest Cosmere Theory??
aneonfoxtribute replied to Lunu’anaki's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Autonomy helped Odium kill Dominion and Devotion because of the ones we know, those two shards are the least autonomous (since they both rely on other people for it to actually exist) -
Do we even know what a Skaze is? Im not sure it has anything to do with a person being good or bad. As for the stuff with Shai and Kelsier, its nothing personal, it's all for the pursuit of his goal. His goal supercedes all, but that doesn't mean he isn't a good person. In the examples.in the second paragraph I imagine there was nothing else he COULD have done. He can't just break people out of slavery and imprisonment. As for the girl, it's obviously better than she be given to someone else rather than just be left on the streets, and what better person than someone who already knows what they're doing? He can't do anything about the Singers.

Sazed being the Hero, by far. Kelsier being alive is up there, though, if only for the way it was revealed.

Beat Yakuza 3. Better than Kiwami, on par with Kiwami 2, worse than 0 and Judgement. Still a pretty good game, I loved it -

Lucky for you, then, that Three Housed has the glorious Divine Pulse -
We know he's a good person, and we can assume that his endgame is just, but as he says to Dalinar: "If I have to see this world crumble and burn to get what I need, I will do so. With tears, yes, but I would let it happen." He is a good person with presumably good intentions who will do anything, even potentially unsavory things, for his goal.

I know that. However, since Hoid refused to pick up his Shard, there should still be a full Shard intact out there. The other four are different because they're not intact, they're splintered so they can't be picked up traditionally. Hoid's offered Shard should theoretically be intact.
-
It occurs to me. Hoid was offered a Shard but didn't take it. However, presumably, all of the current Shards also helped to shatter Adonalsium, unless it's been confirmed that some random person took the shard Hoid rejected. So that should mean that there's just an empty Shard out there, right?

Question about mystery/thriller plot
aneonfoxtribute replied to Kureshi Ironclaw's topic in Creator's Corner
The question is how important the series of events will be to the mystery. If there's no question to be asked about the series of events leading up to it, or about the state of the scene itself, then there's no real reason to make a mystery of it. Or else you can make something feel strange in the prologue, have that be a mystery in it's own right, and then introduce a twist that it's no ordinary party.
