  1. YKYASW your aunt texts you at midnight last night after finishing Elantris (her first book by Sanderson) to say "I hate Hrathen. I love Hrathen. SO SO SO GOOD." and then sends you a list of cosmere books and asks if that's a good order to read them.
  2. This made it perfect for luring people to their death, because it also had...
  3. *Shivers uncontrollably* I just explored the RPG section of the forums and felt quite overwhelmed and intimidated at the same time.
  4. voy vas va vamos vais van
  5. Unfortunately the cupcake poison had a mole in the government, who changed all vaccine medicines to cream soda.
  6. Well since you asked, I suppose I will. *wins*
  7. I think it was perfectly normal for them all to get busted by the police. It only makes sense. Also, I just asked my older brother to tell me a random thought he's had recently. He promptly responded by saying "What if when a kid was born, they just put a blind fold on him really quick, and then they stuck him on an island with everything he would need to survive. What would happen to him since he would grow up all by himself? He wouldn't learn to read, write, or anything like that, and he would never see another human. So what would happen to him?" My mom actually interrupted him near the middle to say "You're weird" in that joking but kind-of-sincere way moms do.

  9. Well my studies are still ongoing, and I haven't acquired much accurate data yet. But from what I gather, roughly four. Edit: It's quite an interesting phenomena really.
  10. I have a theory that after spending several years on the 17th shard, you're mind eventually becomes one with the website...
  11. Oh! Well that's handy! Thanks for the tip.
  12. A.C.'s top half popped out of a pile of dirt, then he also waved hi to the new narrator.
  13. Granted! Your body is now capable of going a full 48 hours before experiencing sleep deprivation, and it still happily welcomes any sleep before that time. Your bane is that whenever you go more than 15 hours without sleeping, you give off a deceptive scent that smells very distinctly like fear, which causes any animal (and sometimes person) who smells it to begin stalking you menacingly. I wish that the books I just put on hold would get here tomorrow.
  14. ...westward when wandering.
  15. Hooway fow Wodney Wat! (Edit: 50 brownie points for whoever gets the reference)
  16. Ya, I agree about Reeve's writing. It's somewhat entertaining, but at the same time it's just not the same as Brandon's books. I read Starsight not long after finishing book 4 and remembered what really good writing is like. Edit: and yes! We are related! It's actually Truthless who introduced me to the 17th shard.
  17. I might be just a tad late in commenting on mortal engines, but I had to put my thoughts somewhere . I remember seeing trailers for the movie a lot, which is what originally got me interested. I assumed the plot wouldn't be spectacular, but I still liked the worldbuilding a ton and thought that it would be a cool series to read first, so I actually got them this Christmas and am already finished. Overall I liked it a lot, and look forward to seeing the movie with my cousin @Truthless of Shinovar, who I also pulled into reading the series!
  18. A.C. was so startled that he accidentally dropped his inator into a puddle.
  19. My mind was sufficiently blown. I regret to say that I didn't pick up on nearly as much as everyone else, but there were still a few things that I deduced throughout the book. For one, I never fully trusted Brade, so it wasn't a surprise when she betrayed Spensa in the end. It was also pretty clear from the beginning that Spensa was making assumptions about Starsight and everyone being "the enemy", so I was watching for that big moment when she finally changed her perspective as well. There were still lots of twists and turns that made it a really enjoyable book. Overall I liked it a lot, and am definitely looking forward to the next book. I have't read Defending Elysium, but it seems like a lot of people have connected it to Skyward and Starsight, so its on my list of to-dos.
  20. And A.C. watched from the shadows with his "Phone-contacts-scrambler-inator".
  21. Granted. You receive a deed for each of these in the appropriate size and quantity. Your bane is that they came from the black market, and the police quickly break into your house and arrest you. In a desperate attempt to escape, you swallow the metals, realize you're not an allomancer, and die of lead poisoning. Turns out a couple marbles were fake. I wish that I could go back in time to experience Koloss Head-Munching Day. Edit: Dangit! ninja'd.
