It's possible that Odium feels he has more important targets first. From what Sazed said, he was still getting used to being a shardholder, so maybe Odium thinks that he can save Sazed for last?

I would like to announce that I have a question for Chaos. Is it purposeful that your name on here is Chaos and yet your ending message is about how the universe is cosmos?
-
I would like to announce that I'm pretty sure everyone here is a dork/geek/nerd. Also, yay dead spambots! What did you do with their corpses?

As long as said made up words make sense (automagically does seem to make sense), then I approve.

Happy non-denominational winter solstice-centered holiday!
leinton replied to Eerongal's topic in General Discussion
I'm entirely sure of this. My teachers are all very insistent on this point. And get mad at us if we say winter/summer solstice or spring/fall equinox. It's a fairly recent renaming, I'm guessing. Places like Australia just being all like "hey it's not winter down here!" probably. -

I would like it known (as a geography major, I'm picky about these things) that it's the DECEMBER solstice, not the winter solstice. It's summer in the southern hemisphere, after all. Also, I got a $50 gift card for Barnes and Noble. It's gonna be fun trying to figure out what to spend it on. -
I would like to announce that this is the greatest song of all time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGBZuf3mvy0 It's Rand-tastic.

I would like to announce I have finally reached the point in Dark Dawn where I was when I restarted the game. Yay, I can finally learn what happens next in the story! I would also like to announce that I have spent the entire weekend ignoring the fact that I have finals this week. Yay?

For the first part: Sol Sanctum also wins because it doesn't take a minute to show you how to equip items and then another minute to show you how to use psynergy. I'm sure there were other tutorials there, but I've probably blocked them out. I would complain about the djinni tutorial, but that was also unskippable in GS1. For the second part... same here. XD Climbing trees was not natural to me. I still forget that I can do so from time to time. Anyway, I would like to announce that when restarting Dark Dawn (FML), it took me 11 minutes to gain control of Matthew. Weeeeeeeee fun!

How are you liking it? Well, I was loving it. Like seriously, this is a great game. With two fatal flaws. A) Super long unskippable intro, super long unskippable dialogue throughout, and a super long unskippable tutorial. I'VE PLAYED GOLDEN SUN. I KNOW HOW IT WORKS. I KNOW THE STORY BY HEART. LET ME LEARN A NEW STORY! If you miss a djinni or summon and get past a certain point, then you will never get that djinni. Which I just did. Ugh, just because I hate following guides, I miss a djinni. I actually came here to announce that I missed a djinni and was being forced to restart. FML

I would like to announce that I have my hands on Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. It was my self-given present for completing the semester! (Cataclysm is my self present for completing finals)

So I was trying to cheer up a super depressed friend, I showed her this quote, and she's now not depressed anymore. Be proud.

For those of you who are into A Song of Ice and Fire

Agreed. Although, book writers tend to not have much to do with movie adaptions to their books. I assume it would be the same with it as a TV series. So, his personal time is not actually being taken up by this most likely. -
Well, I know I'm excited.

I would like to announce that Miyabi's previous announcement has renewed the hope that was crushed in Chaos's vent.

I don't think the stormlight is the focus. Stormlight is the energy used, more like the Dor than the aons. I think the focus likely has something to do with the individual lashings, which so far are all based around a force (basic lashing is based around weight, for example). I'm betting that we don't know what the focus is yet because it isn't a question that the characters in the book have asked yet. The only thing I could think of that might be the focus is the spren. So far, Sveth is the only one we have seen using the stormlight without a fabrial that doesn't have an obvious connection with the spren.

Wow, perfect way to vent. K, here goes. It all starts with girls. "The Creator made women to please the eye and trouble the mind." There are currently three girls who have decided now would be a good time to trouble my mind. One is my closest friend at my school, who lives far away from me and has no time to hang out, but still finds it in her heart to flirt like crazy with me. The second is my friend who is taken and yet for some reason has decided that at parties, my lap was the best chair in the place. Normally I don't have a problem with this, but she IS taken by a close friend of mine. And then she rants to me about how much she misses her boyfriend. Oh, and her boyfriend's mom teaches at the school I go to. Fun stuff. The third girl... is this girl's roomate. Yay. Then we move into school. I'm not failing, but I'm doing much worse than I should be doing. My English teacher has decided that it takes two weeks to teach college level students proper MLA format, which I've known how to do since 7th grade. Her class is retardedly easy, and has allowed me to sink into the mindset of "I can get away with the minimum work." Which I can in her class. I wrote an essay in half an hour and got 100% on it. I can't do that in other classes though, but this mindset is affecting how I'm doing in my other classes. I'm starting to do the minimum work, and my grades are slipping because of it. Then because of this, I had to give up on NaNoWriMo as I caught back up in my work for my other classes, and then my English teacher decides to throw at us a bunch of crem dung busywork that does not affect my learning at all. I haven't learned a damnation thing in this class. I have three books that I need to have read in a week (one of them needs to be finished tonight), and I idiotically decided that yesterday was a good time to buy A Storm of Swords. Yay distractions! And on to life in general, my family has decided that daily shouting matches weren't enough, so now they're being moved to thrice a day. My best friend is on his mission in the DR, and I haven't seen him in almost a year and a half now, and whomever is supposed to collect his letters is being lazy about it. Thus, I don't have any communication with my best friend except a letter that he sends me about every other month, due to his being too busy to get himself to a post office, and the people who are supposed to get his letters to a post office aren't doing their jobs. It's infuriating. My closest friends other than him have decided that SoCal wasn't good enough for them, so they decided to go to schools on the other side of the [bleep] country. Except one, who is the second girl I mentioned in my rant about the finer sex. I just want this semester to be over. Thank you for making this topic readily available, Trend. This felt really good.

He's also been good about not telling us what's similar between the books, so he might be intentionally keeping us in the dark about it. Does anything about this religion mention sound? That's also a big part of the Iridescent Tones.
