  1. To our knowledge Hoid and Nightblood have never interacted.
  2. I think his contempt for Mraize's paltry efforts would warp the air leaving only scorn.
  3. Maybe or maybe it is just understood that rejection will happen.
  4. After researching. Only the offer is made. There is also a specific way that the women then rejects the man.
  5. Wit will win his match up. It depends where Szeth is in his story and Lift will win regardless.
  6. Usually. It realy depends where. I know of someone who did it.
  7. It is actually still on the books that the brother of the dead husband must make an offer. https://www.bibleodyssey.org/en/people/related-articles/levirate-marriage
  8. You don't need to know how to blow glass to make marbles(although they are rather hard to make). You can do it with a blow torch.
  9. The sibling is out of action and I don't think it was the Nightwatcher(she seems to be chilling at the moment).
  10. I would like to add that Hoid is extremely wary of Soulcasting.
  11. I kind of like this theory.
  12. I would actually prefer that.
  13. It is based on deduction rather then direct evidence but yes. Don't double post. You can edit your previous one. Your theory has believers in certain corridors but I for one fail to see how a person who is pretending to be a god king can remain sane for long periods of time.
  14. Close. All of the Heralds are acting opposite their previous beliefs. IE Nale is killing people while literally following the law. Ash destroys art. Taln is a coward. Ishar's piety seems to meen that he now believes whatever he wants to believe(his own godhood) and is manipulating people instead of providing real guidance(his godking of a country stick).
  15. From the WoBs we know that. He was not Vasher. He actually is Dalinar's ancestor. His sword was Oathbringer and is passed through quite a few hands before Dalinar got it. He lived about 500 years ago. He was the last Alethi to successfully claim the first Dahn until Gavilar. No idea about the extent of his conquest except that he conquered Azir with overwhelming speed and he seems to have killed the emperor(remember the finger). I doubt it. I find it hard to believe that the Shin have ever been conquered. They are too monolithic. Conquest tends to blend cultures a bit. Agreed about Iri and Rira. In Oathbringer Fen says something along the lines of "I am not going to be the one who lets this country fall to you guys." Implying that they were never conquered. I doubt it. That place is inaccessible also someone in his army would have wrote about it.
  16. But even without flashbacks Kaladin's I hate Amaram statements and Adolin's this guy is too good to be true as well as Jasnah's assessment told us everything we needed to know about him. As to Shallan. The Shardblade was personal to her and only realy effected her. Also it only worked as a sort of plot element because it was a mystery. It is nothing of the sort. I just see no reason why some people think an author of Brandon's caliber can't find another way to help us understand a character other then a flashback.
  17. Also possible.
  18. And neither of their flashbacks enhanced the plot itself. They only enhanced our understanding of the characters which in tern effected the plot. If we can understand a character some other way then flashbacks are redundant. The events her sister relates as well as statements she makes in the future could easily explain this kind of stuff to us.
  19. How? Dalinar's flashbacks realy only mattered in so far as they effected Dalinar. Venli clearly remembers her past(I think) so I don't see how having her flashbacks will enhance the plot itself.
  20. Thanks I will.
  21. Um Adolin is notoriously hard to court. She may have just been playing hard to get. Grave's does not have governing authority in the diagram. He is allowed to do what he can but that is it. Also even if you trust someone you still might want to spy on them. We don't know what happened to her. I personally think that she just took a separate rout to a safe house.
  22. Sorry missed the name.
  23. However Kaladin's did not and neither did Shallan's realy.
  24. The SA hole that I cannot find a good solution for is Lin Davar's soulcasting scheme. At first it made sense. Lin has a soulcaster. Soulcasters turn stuff into other stuff. Lin has stuff he can turn into more valuable stuff. He does so. Sells that stuff and makes money. Only one problem. Soulcasters need gemstones to function. On Roshar a gemstone's value is based on how much stuff it can soulcast before shattering. So Lin can't realy make much money. The fuel he needs(gemstones) is going to be about as expensive as the product he is making. It would honestly be easier for the ghoostbloods to just give him money. Can anyone figure out why this is?
  25. I kind of doubt Iri is helping Odium because they are made about Evi's plate. They are just using that as an excuse to help the fused. Their alliance with the fused is based on mutual convenience it allows Iri to expand while at the same time giving the fused a convenient base of operations.
