You should IMO start with "the basics" how many people have magic, how they get it, what having or not having magic indicates and how it effects society at large.

He might mean immortality and sleeplessness although I do not recall such a quote. If you are referring to Rysn saying that they were unlucky that is just superstition based on the blue skin and backwards shadow.

When you are annoyed with Brandon's slowness at writing. -
But there are at least 10 hightenings most flowers on earth also have five petals, returned go one week or seven days on a breath... I would not say that is anything like certain.
-
What? When did these two happen?

Brandon has been a bit vague on this one.

Star Wars The Clone Wars Final Season

I really am sad that we will never get the planed Ahsoka origin story. -
This does raise the interesting question of where the investiture goes and how it gets there when chromium is used.
-
The investiture is not kinetic until the metal is burned but larkin tend to get kinetic investiture so they would probably be able to stop chromium.

How to make simple weapons that cooperate with a surge

Massed pike men can repulse basically any melee attack provided that they are trained and in formation. The only thing they really can't stand up against is gunfire or artillery. They do however work well against massed infantry as you can keep your opponents at a distance while inflicting damage. I think you will need conjoined fabrails to increase mobility. Ropes and hammers have a really high casualty rate of well trained soldiers. That is not a sustainable strategy during a desolation. -
I have made a task of collecting good theories on my thread. It allows me and others to keep up with good theories produced by the sharders at large.

Comparing the military of Shardworlds to Terran countries
Karger replied to DiePie's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Except Roshar and Dayside taldain pose huge environmental problems to horses. The reason that no one on Roshar has them except the shin is because the lack of good pasture makes them far too difficult to care for. Same for Dayside taldain. Also Mongols have no idea how to deal with highstorms. -
This I can answer. Think of space like a conveyor belt at an airport. You can't walk at the speed of light on it but you can move the belt itself so that it is moving faster then the speed of light. So you meant cadmium.

I assume you mean bendalloy Seems workable. I am currently way to tired to be sure but it seems similar to the Alcubierre drive.

When to read Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell
Karger replied to Dawnbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I think we put way too much stock into what order you are supposed to read everything in. Optimal orders always seem to have problems with them. Just read the series in order up until published and then start another one when you have access. Also don't read short stories about worlds with series on them unless you have read the series as well. This stops all major spoilers and lets the reader do what is easiest for them based on what books they have available at there time/place.- 5 replies

We have only seen a small part of the planet and it is not necessarily the most advanced tec wise. We think. Taldain might be an example of this but we don't know what is going on there. Yeah but since the Mistborn era four method relies on the metallic arts they will be stuck at sublight speeds. So interplanetary might be a yes but interstellar is almost certainly a no. Some magic systems would make discovering this stuff easier but sure that is possible. That would be possible. Other advantages include the effects of a harsher lifestyle. In general societies that are poorer and have less exploitable natraul resources have fewer military or political conflicts and they are sometimes more inclined to scientific advancement. We will have to wait and see.

So I started with Way of Kings. Did I spoil anything?
Karger replied to AlexC's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I read the first three SA novels before I knew the cosmere existed. You will be fine. Some of the WoKs stuff won't make as much sense and you will have to go back and check it if you want the full full story but each series is self contained. You are going to be fine. I personally recommend just reading edgedancer and the oathbringer before you move on to something else. It is a better stopping place then where you are now. Also welcome to the shard. -
I think she could see into the CR slightly. Her descriptions are just a bit too accurate for someone who was not there. I was only speculating.

Rock is not yet a full Windrunner. If he has something he needs to do and has not bonded a spren he will have to do it has a human with no powers.
