“But very few people like me. I understand that there are people out there who won’t like someone no matter what, but so many people hate me. If everyone you meet thinks you’re awful, then that means something. Not everyone is the type of person to hate someone no matter what. Most people are good.” Jenny hugged her knees, staring at the ground again. She fought to keep back tears. ”There’s gotta be something wrong with me.”
-
Some of Jenny’s sadness faded and her eyes lit up. She hadn’t eaten Skittles in ages. ”I do! Thank you!” She grabbed a couple and ate a few, savoring their flavors. They were just as delicious as she remembered, and her smiled widened a bit. She’s only acting nice so she can win your trust.
-
Jenny smiled slightly, but it was weak. ”That would be nice.” Elsie didn’t even know why she was sad, yet she still wanted to help her feel better. She was such a kind person. Jenny was a bit embarrassed that her sadness was this evident, though.
-
Jenny looked up slightly, but didn’t make eye contact. Her face was downcast. Terrance was upset with Elsie, but it didn’t matter at this point. He’d liked her before, and Jenny now knew that her previous assumptions about peoples’ hostility were faulty. Terrance’s relationship with Elsie didn’t impact that anymore. ”He turns kinda invisible sometimes. I’m sure he’ll be back. He’s talked to you more than anyone else, so he’s probably not going to stay mad at you.” No reason to make Elsie upset because of Terrance too.
-
She whispered back, looking downwards. “I’m…” Jenny almost told Ed that she was ok reflexively, but realized that would just be lying to him. She couldn’t do that. ”I think not everyone hates me because I’m a Hades kid. I think some of them just hate me.” She felt so foolish. It had been wildly egotistical of her to assume that people didn’t like her only because of some unfair reason that was out of her control. And if so many people disliked her as a person, then it had to be for valid reasons.
-
Overhearing the conversation between Terrance and Elsie, Jenny’s heart sank. He was talking to Elsie more than he’d ever spoken with Jenny across multiple conversations. He seemed to like the girl. So he did just hate Jenny. Why did this hurt so much? She was used to people hating her. She’d become hardened to being someone everyone else despised. But the reasoning behind Terrance’s friendliness made this situation different. He thought that Elsie was another outcast, someone who was judged for their parentage. He sympathized with Elsie, was kind to her. That meant he likely didn’t judge Jenny for her father, either. He didn’t hate the idea of Jenny, child of death, like everyone else did. He just hated the person Jenny. Maybe not everyone who hated her did so because of her father. Maybe many didn’t hate Hades and just hated her.

Sometimes you feel like a nut Sometimes you don’t (My robotics teacher in middle school played this excessively to annoy us.) I’m kind of close to a large body of water, probably about 10 minutes away. Do you have to give medicine to a pet?

Tootsie Rolls. I once lost a baby tooth molar to one that wasn’t even wiggly yet, I don’t trust ‘em. If all candy was erased from existence and you could only save one type, what would it be?

“Hmm?” Jenny turned towards Aaron distractedly. What was he… oh, she’d tried to ask him a question earlier. ”Oh, I was going to ask if you knew any medical stuff. People keep getting hurt, and I need to make sure I can help them. I figured you might be able to help since Demeter is related to lifey-things and you’ve helped heal us before.” Jenny waved to Dr. Doom sadly.
-
“That’s so cool!” Jenny bent over slightly so she was face to face with the crow. She spoke to it softly. ”I bet you know how to get all sorts of trinkets because you’re a very good boy, Dr. Doom.” Dr. Doom was a very strange name. Perhaps Elsie had chosen it because crows were often seen as bad omens.
-
Jenny grinned widely. The crow was beautiful. She couldn’t believe it was letting her pet it; they always seemed so skittish. Did something about Elsie’s demigod parent let her tame crows? ”Live ones are supposed to bring you shiny stuff if you befriend them, right? I’ve reanimated a few crows before, but they only brought me rotting sticks and bits of trash.”
-
Jenny’s attention was immediately diverted to the crow. She’d always loved crows- they felt like creatures of death, too. She cautiously approached, then slowly reached out her hand, attempting to very gently pet the bird.
-
Jenny took a step in Elsie’s direction, intending to make sure she wasn’t attacked, try and pet the crow, and ensure not all of the crickets were fed to the bird. She stopped herself, however. She couldn’t leave Ed with Roy. He needed her as backup. Glancing between Elsie and the two boys, Jenny was visibly fidgety. @Weaver of Lights @RoyalBeeMage

They wouldn't dare give Ulfric a fair trial. Treason, for fighting for your own people! All of Skyrim would have seen the truth then.

“I’m pretty sure it died when Ed stabbed it in the gut. Maybe you didn’t see that, since he was on the opposite side.” Perhaps Jenny could resolve this peacefully. Now was not a good time for an argument. She sheathed Sword carefully, wary that Roy could explode with anger again but not wanting to provoke him.
