    Jenny hobbled over to the girl and held out a hand to help her up. She needed to be standing in case the cyclops tried to swipe at her. She decided to answer her question. If she could see the monster, then that meant she probably was a demigod. One who perhaps hadn’t yet realized that, based on her general lack of knowledge about celestial bronze weapons. ”My parents gave it to me. They are rare, but back at camp Halfblood, where we come from, there’s an armory of them. Your weapon isn’t made of the same material as ours, so it can’t damage the cyclops. Please stay back so it doesn’t hurt you.”

    Upon noticing the massive monster, Jenny drew Sword and took aim. She didn’t have the ability to do anything more than walk, so the cyclops would likely just squish her immediately if she got too close. She took a deep breath, then threw her knife at the monster. Unfortunately, the act of moving her arm this way sent a shock of agony through her side. She grunted in pain, and her dagger didn’t strike its intended target, the monster’s eye. Instead, it sailed downwards and embedded itself in its foot. It let out a bellow of pain, now becoming enraged. That would probably slow it down some, at least.

    Jenny covered another smile. Aaron really was pretty adorable. She wandered over to him. He seemed to be oddly powerful for his age, so he was probably extra knowledgeable about Demeter stuff. Some of that information could be useful to have. ”Hey, Aaron? Can I ask you a question?”
